Well.... That was interesting. Floretta had come out with the intent to explore and find new Poke'mon, but she hadn't quite planned for it to go that way. Especially to nearly knock the wild one out, and then have it jump up and run away. At least she only lost one of her research balls.

Floretta paused so that she could clean Peony off, making sure they were all right after everything. Once their little paws had been wiped, they were clear to return to her arms.

As the pair continued on, small shadows flit across the ground. Floretta tilted her head back and squinted, shielding her eyes with one hand. Peony let out a little noise at being handled with only one arm, but Floretta was more focused on up above. Trying to figure out what kind of Poke'mon that was far above.

A beeping noise came from within her bag after a few minutes. Once more, Peony was being held by one arm, propped against Floretta's hip as she pulled her Pokédex from her bag. It was beeping a warning about a storm brewing nearby - however, when she looked up and around, the sky seemed to be clear. Maybe a few clouds, but otherwise just fine. Frowning, she stared at her Pokédex for a moment, before tucking it away again. Perhaps it needed some servicing?

Several more minutes were spent in relative silence. Only broken here or there by Floretta pointing something out to Peony, or the inverse. There was a lot of really pretty flora here!

Her Pokédex started beeping again. Yes, definitely needed servicing. She pulled it out anyway, though, only to find a new warning. Oh, she was reaching the end of the authorized exploration region. Aahh, well that kind of stunk. She wanted to keep going!

Pocketing it and turning around, she shifted Peony in her arms before heading back the way they came.

Another flock of Poke'mon drifted by overhead. Still far too high for her to see. Perhaps they were birds of prey that wanted to be far away from the new arrivals on the island. After all, the humans were new to Nauwill. She wouldn't be surprised if a majority of the regions population was doing whatever it could to hide from them.

During the trip back, there were even more things the pair hadn't noticed the first time around. Such as Peony's antennae quivering as it sniffed about and let out a little sound. Pointing to the side of the trail, there was a bush with berries hanging from the branches. They weren't quite fully in season, but they were big enough to be eaten. Thankfully it was something she could identify, and not an unknown species of berry. Oran berries!

Floretta found the plumpest ones she could and offered it to Peony. They took it, munching along happily.

"You do manage to find a couple of edible berries. Heal 1HP for up to two pokémon and/or yourself."

Peony is full health now!

"You come across a dip in the terrain near the meeting of sand and grass, and it doesn't take long to realize it's leading down into a small cove and the start of a sea cave! While it's not very large yet, you can see the surf is slowly eroding the space - some day, this might be a lovely lagoon, though for now it's just a much needed shady spot.

The glint of creatures under the water catches your eye, but the attention drift causes you to notice something else nearby. Growing on several rocks poking out of the water are some odd little fungi. You might be able to get them and bring them back if you try."

Optional. On success, +1 Weird Mushroom?. On failure, get bitten by a hungry pokémon and -1 HP for whoever attempted.

Peony wiggled from her arms before she could stop them. "Wait!" she shouted, hurrying after the excited Bulbasaur. Floretta carefully followed them out onto the rocks, but wasn't quick enough.

Peony attempted to grab at the little mushroom it saw, only for something to move about beneath the water. Next thing she knew, Peony was scrambling back in a panic.

Floretta pulled a towel from her bag and scooped Peony up in it, cradling the little thing and washing them off. Once she identified what happened, she was able to pull out some Poke'mon safe salve from her bag and rub it on. It looked like Peony got bit by something!

The little one was blubbering like a wee babe as Floretta tried to coo and calm them down. She headed straight back to town, no dilly dallying now! She would make sure to stop and put Peony back in her room with Petal and Pollen, before heading out to turn in her findings. Which... weren't much. But hey, she still needed to.
