Finally after taking a few sudden observations on his new torchic, Zakiax felt that it was time to finally explore outside of the city, now that he got his new Pokémon partner to start his adventure in this new region. Stretching his arms above his head his crimson eyes glanced across the grasslands he arrived in. A thick emerald sea moving in the wind. Zak wondering what sort of new and exciting pokemon he would run into here.

Getting close to the ground his hand brushed against the soft grass. Zak moved slowly keeping an eye on the horizon as he searched. Only to find a small patch of wild oran berry bushes. Neither he nor Rain Drop needed a pick me up so he left them alone.

Taking out the small notebook he always took with him he made note of the location of it with in it. It would be a good location to return to if he were to wait to see what sort of pokemon came to eat at the bushes. But now he wanted to move a bit further into the grasslands wondering what new things he could find today.

16: You find, hidden among the weeds, a small patch of bushes that you quickly recognize as wild oran berries! There aren't many ripe fruits, as it's probably quite popular among the local pokémon, but it's also a comforting sight to find something so familiar in such a wild place.

Zak returned the note book to his pocket and continued forth pushing further into the grasses. A beep caught his attention and he pulled his pokédex out of his pocket. A puzzled look crossed his face as he looked at it first and then to the sky. "Weird" He muttered to himself. "Though being an island I wonder if random storms are common."

Re-pocketing the pokédex he continued on his way.

13: Your pokédex beeps at you, its sensors apparently indicating a storm brewing in your near vicinity. Odd - the sky seems perfectly clear where you are.

Spotting something near him out of the corner of his eye. Upon further investigation he found a burrow full of sleeping pokemon. He could get closer to try to catch one of them, but he wasn't really confident enough in his sneaking skills. So instead of surprising the group awake with a move that would defiantly fail he decided to leave the group alone.

You've accidentally stumbled across a small group of baby pokémon hidden in a burrow! They're sleeping peacefully now - maybe you can get close to them before their parent returns?

Optional. On success, roll a Wild Battle but don't enter battle. Immediately gain a capture attempt vs a full HP, sleeping pokémon of that type. Whether or not you catch it, all pokémon scatter after the attempt. If you have no pokéballs, you cannot attempt a capture.

On failure, roll two Wild Battles. You must fight whichever is a higher Rank. If they are equal, you pick which one to fight.

Keeping his eyes peeled Zak continued forth.

He was hit, by a rock. Were did it come from? Who threw it? Zak glanced around but could not figure out which direction it had come from. Rubbing the sore spot where he had been hit he continued forth looking out for more rock throwing deviants.

You don't see what causes it, but regardless of where it came from, you know darn well that the rock that just whacked you out of nowhere hurt. Regardless of whether it was some other adventurer being, well, a bit of an ass, or a pokémon trying to drive you away from its nest, you're definitely going to have a bruise tomorrow.

Upon hearing a noise Zak glances up towards the sky squinting against the beating sun. He tried to make out what sort of Pokémon they were but he could not see much due to the bright sunlight.

12: A flock of some unknown pokémon flies far overhead, their voices drifting faintly down to you on the ground below. Their silhouettes slowly fade out of sight, their destination some place far away

Taking a bit of a deep breath, and a breather he relaxes a bit rubbing the sun out of his eyes. The warm sun was nice

The breeze blowing up from the ocean is pleasant, and the warm sun could almost make you forget that you're exploring a totally wild region.

Heal 1HP for all damaged pokémon and yourself.

You come across a dip in the terrain near the meeting of sand and grass, and it doesn't take long to realize it's leading down into a small cove and the start of a sea cave! While it's not very large yet, you can see the surf is slowly eroding the space - some day, this might be a lovely lagoon, though for now it's just a much needed shady spot.

The glint of creatures under the water catches your eye, but the attention drift causes you to notice something else nearby. Growing on several rocks poking out of the water are some odd little fungi. You might be able to get them and bring them back if you try.

Optional. On success, +1 Weird Mushroom?. On failure, get bitten by a hungry pokémon and -1 HP for whoever attempted.

Zak follows the dip in the terrain and then takes a brief rest in the small shady spot near the cove. Spotting something out in the water Zak tried to approach. "I wonder what those are?" he mused, but before he could pick anything the wild pokemon he had spotted under the water quickly bit him and fled.

Shaking his poor bitten hand Zak withdrew from the small cove and continued his journey forth. He was growing tired and soon it would be time to return to town. As much as he would like to continue his adventure and live within these grasslands instead of the dorms, so far not much had caught his attention that he would stay for.

Familiar sounds reached his ears. Once more, more of that same pokemon flew overhead. Now it was getting late so it was time to head back
