Pip looked down at the pokeball in their hand, and then looked over at their little pokemon partner. "Er... sorry. I didn't actually think that would work..."

Little Guy (which Pip was more or less resigned to being the totodile's actual name, now that they had been referring to him that way in their head for the whole day) looked a bit put out, but they were quickly pacified with a conciliatory hunk of meat.

It was probably time for the pair of them to head home. Pip supposed that they at least had something interesting to turn in now. They had only really set off this morning as an excuse to work on attention and recall with Little Guy in a new environment but it had been kind of fun. Maybe they should try doing this again sometime?
