You come across a dip in the terrain near the meeting of sand and grass, and it doesn't take long to realize it's leading down into a small cove and the start of a sea cave! While it's not very large yet, you can see the surf is slowly eroding the space - some day, this might be a lovely lagoon, though for now it's just a much needed shady spot.

The glint of creatures under the water catches your eye, but the attention drift causes you to notice something else nearby. Growing on several rocks poking out of the water are some odd little fungi. You might be able to get them and bring them back if you try.

Optional. On success, +1 Weird Mushroom?. On failure, get bitten by a hungry pokémon and -1 HP for whoever attempted.

As Pip off on their second expedition into the wilds outside the city, they decided to take their meanderings along the shore. The pristine, undeveloped beaches here were really, really something. They were admiring the reflection of the sun across the water when the noticed the movement and moved closer, although they were mindful not to get too close. It wouldn't do to get dragged into the water by some wild pokemon out here where they didn't have any support outside of a barely-trained totodile.

Except... huh. More weird mushrooms. They figured they should probably try and grab some to take back. Pip inched along towards the rocks, keeping a mindful eye on the water in case the hidden pokemon resurfaced, but it seemed that the coast was clear. It wasn't until they'd turned their full attention to the mushrooms that whatever was in the water struck!

Thankfully it seemed to realize Pip was slightly bigger than they had been anticipating, and they let go immediately. Pip didn't even have a chance to see what it was before Little Guy had scurried up to the water's edge, snapping into the water. Figuring the mushrooms weren't worth it, they moved back away from the shoreline, recalling Little Guy to them. Pip didn't want him to get hurt by what ever it was either...

Up ahead... was the grass... moving?

Looking more closely, Pip realized that the weirdly shifting leaves amongst the grass was in fact one of those little lefmew critters they had seen around town. Seeing as it was alone and they had the drop on it, maybe this was a good chance to try and give Little Guy a chance to stretch. (They were a bit worried about grass type moves, but they could always bolt if it looked like Little Guy was going to be in a bad place.)
