Character Name: Floretta Jessamy
Pronoun Choice: She/Her
Age: 21
Home Region: Johto
Character Overview: Floretta is the epitome of both friendliness and cheerfulness. It is near impossible for her to approach a situation with any sort of negative thoughts or feelings. Because of this, people tend to think of her as not really empathetic, until they really get to know her and learn she's very in tune with her own feelings and others. She knows when to tone down and comfort those who might need it.

Three Strengths:
Bubbly Personality: Floretta is overly bubbly and ready to make new friends, and makes them rather easily.
Creativity: Having a lot of time on her hands being overlooked, Floretta taught herself quite a few crafts over the years.
Resilience: Being the middle child of such a large family, she's become acquainted with bullying, to the point it rolls off her back and nothing can bring her down.
Three Flaws:
Germophobe: Growing up in such a rowdy, filled house, she came to abhor messes and is absolutely terrified of germs; as sweet as she is, she is very unlikely to take something offered to her from someone else, and is very careful about where she walks and what she touches in Nauwill.
Spacey: When not focused on something, she has a tendency to space out and doesn't hear what is said to her.
Time Management: When she's really comfortable, especially with Poke'mon, time really flies, and she has a hard time keeping up with prior engagements.
History: Floretta was born and raised in Johto to a large family. She has several older and younger siblings, so she was often looked over. Even with her budding personality and friendliness, she just didn't stand out amongst her siblings. Eventually she followed in her older siblings footsteps by setting out on a Poke'mon adventure. However, upon picking her starter Poke'mon for the region, she did something strange. Her family was really big on Fire type Poke'mon, and as such, they each got a Cyndaquil before setting out. Floretta, however, settled on a charming little Chikorita.
Her family was completely surprised and flabbergasted. While she had always been a little quirky - sitting outside doodling in a journal instead of getting nitty gritty with the family business of black smithing - this was completely out of thin air! Or so they thought. No one really paid attention to her making friends with the wild Poke'mon around their town, picking flowers and exploring. She wasn't cast aside from her family for her decisions, but became even more a black sheep than before. Floretta didn't let this get her down, however. Finding Chikorita was the best thing that could ever happen to her! The two had bonded at a young age, and the little Grass Poke'mon followed her home. The family was perturbed, but didn't stop the little green one from coming in.
When it came time for her to properly learn how to battle, Floretta was quite against it. However, it was necessary for her to be able to travel and find more Poke'mon like Chikorita. In the end, with her spunky friend at her side, the two of them made it through some general training with her family, the Chikorita coming out on the other side with some small burns from the Fire Poke'mon household. Floretta started out later than some other kids because of this, not travelling until she was about 15 years old. However, it gave her more time to get acclimated to Poke'mon battling, as well as any survival knowledge she would need.
Almost immediately, she found herself making friends with people and Poke'mon alike, garnering many friends along her journey. Through befriending Poke'mon, she made a solid team, and then some. Her Poke'mon evolved and grew over time, each having their own unique personality.
Word of Nauwill started to spread, and Floretta became curious about what kinds of Poke'mon could be there. She put her own into quarantine and started out, a plethora of sketchbooks and pencils at her side so she could document what she found. Hopefully it would be more friends!
(Her birth name is Alessandra, but she tells people to call her Floretta, as she wants to legally change her name)
