concept Maelstrom was not always her name. It used to be Blair back when she was a kitten, but one day, her owners took her to the beach for the winter holidays and there were such large waves! Blair was not afraid of the water or the hightides, and just soaked herself in the water, despite it being very cold. Her owners decided to then rename her to Maelstrom, for Blair did not seem like a proper name for her anymore.
