Good day everyone!
Welcome to our little game : 3
Kovak and I are running this personality and name contest for the last kitten in one of our new breedings!
The thing is, they are entering into a HUGE family, so we are really focusing on family bonds and how the kits might try to stand out!

Dawn has had a litter with a previous male, and as such, already has five of her own kits. None were sired by Pepper, however, Pepper has pretty much become their father. Pepper has two siblings - Salt and Paprika - as well as two "parents" in Cream and Milk, who adopted the three seasoning "siblings" when they became loners. As such, Dawn found herself attracted to this large family and the extra paws to take care of the five kits that she herself had. That being said, she fell for Pepper, and has come to have an additional three kits with Pepper himself. Dawn's previous kits are all grown up, though some still linger around - such as Bumblebee, their clumsiest kid, who has come around with their newfound mate too. The other four kits are named Nightfall, Omen, Daybreak and Buttercup.

That being said, the family is massive. They could almost be their own colony! The three new kits are going to be well loved and taken care of, perhaps a bit too well from some of the others in the family.

This game is for the following kit specifically.

We would like to know how they fit into the family. Do they enjoy having so many paws around at all times? Or would they prefer to go off on their own, start their own family, and maybe visit from time to time? The name theme will be simple as well, as their mother is a loner and prefers more natural names, though their father is an ex kittypet so he might suggest a weird name or two (even without knowing what the word means! However, any kittypet sounding names would have to remain simple!)

This game starts on Friday 10/20/2023 at 7:30 am EST, and will run for a week, ending on Friday 10/27/2023 at 5 pm EST.

Ginger struggles to be their own independent individual within their large family. How do you find what's unique about yourself when you're surrounded by so many influences in your kin? Don't get them wrong - they love their family and the sense of community it brings. They could never imagine leaving and they try to connect with all their kin, widespread as they've become. Still, it makes Ginger nervous trying to blend into the family unit and never have their own original ideas in the group - but it makes them feel restricted when they think they might just become a copycat of one of their other family members. There are so many kind, sweet cats in Ginger's family - do they stand out by becoming sassy, or stoic, or mean? None of that sounds fun at all, but they're starting to wonder if they would gain more attention if they acted out instead of keeping their muzzle down.
Future plots: (Optional)
Sweet, Sour or Salty? - Ginger observes their family to see what 'flavor' of cat they are. There seem to be plenty of sweet cats among the group, but do any of them stand out? Is there a bitter family member who gets more attention for their differing personality? Is there a sourpuss who left home early and never returned? Ginger takes influence from their family members and may go through different phases before they settle on one that they want to adopt for themselves.

Acting Out - Ginger begins to act out in order to get attention. Loud outbursts, tantrums and hissy fits. They want to fit in, they want to stand out; they want to be paid attention to, everyone should mind their own business! They want to be a meaningful part of their family - but tonight they're running away forever! With the ups and downs of a young cat's life, will their parents and siblings be pushed to their wits end?

Allspice - Ginger settles down as a mixed personality blend of different traits. They come to the realization that they don't have to have one trait that makes them stand out; they can be whoever they want to be - and that just happens to be a little bit of everything! They'll stick to their family unit primarily after settling down emotionally, but Ginger will be known by any future littles as the cool aunt that comes around and has stories of their adventures when they leave every full moon to seek out a kick of independence on their own.

At first, he hated such a big, raucous family. That many cats all together with lives intertwined in so many ways was bound to be chaotic no matter what you did, and the young kit was so resentful. how could you ever get seen, or heard, or make your place when all the places seemed like they were already taken up by someone much better at it than you!

But as he gets older, Wasp will gradually appreciate the upsides to a large family, and ultimately will want to settle down either in or very close by to the rest of the family. There is safety in numbers, and he will discover that the quiet life isn't really for him - nor is life in a clan following a leader and their decrees. Family is where the heart is.

Future plots: (Optional)
Wasp cannot help himself and has to explore the nests of his namesake - once, and only once, as the experience ends poorly with many stings. although he had been feeling somewhat resentful of his large family and how hard it was sometimes to be noticed, being so injured with swollen stings and struggling to eat with a swollen face, and generally needing extra care for a few days, this independent hubris was the start of him learning about appreciating community and family

Wasp will at some point, probably late in teenagerhood, strike out on his own adventure, frustrated and annoyed and overwhelmed, insisting that he has to find a way to make a name for himself. But out on his own for the first time, he will discover that the quiet is a little *too* quiet, even after he adjusts to it; all on his own is an awful lot of work that he hadn't realized the family was absorbing all together to lighten the load; the loyalty of clan cats is not the sort he is willing to pledge; and ultimately, despite his long, roaming journey, and attempts to find his own place in the world that he carves out for himself, Wasp will realize that the reason nowhere feels right is because he needs to come home and settle in with his family. If nothing else he will have tales to tell, of the cats he met along the way, and the close brushes he had with danger and death. And maybe he will even bring home a mate...
