Yune was a tad nervous to return to the grasslands after the storm he wasn't sure if anything had changed or if it had remained the same. His two eevees Salsa and Cream were by his side out of their pokeballs. Yune had brought three of his other eevees with him but he had left them in their pokeballs for now. Having aquired quite a few more of them in his time in town from the enrichment facility. One was colored like a shiny ghost type but it being an eevee did not really bother him as much if it was an actual ghost type. That he would not have been able to handle if it was a true ghost type. He shuddered at the thought.

Arriving at the entrance of the route he hestitated pausing his step to a stop. We'll be fine. he thought to himself trying to stay a bit on the positive side of things. Even though he was alone he still did not chance speaking outloud. Though in private his pokemon did get to hear his voice every so often, even if it was a barely audible wisper. He felt more comfortable around his pokemon then actual people other wise he often just used hand signals he had taught his eevees to help him with tasks, mainly with cooking.

Okay lets do this he thought to himself and then continued his steps into the first route around Doveport. Honestly he did want to see what he could forage for ingredients for his recipies, but starting at the new route seemed like a bit of a big step for him so he returned to something he knew the grasslands. Hoping to maybe find some more of the mushrooms he had collected and turned in before for research he wondered if they had been edible. But even berries would be helpful as they would be used in an ingredient for the pokemon food he made for his ever growing hoard of eevees and flying types.

Yune was quite glad to see that the route had not changed much from the storm. The grasslands were still the same he was used to. His hand brushed along some of the tall grass and motioned for Cream and Salsa to follow as he moved slowly in the the rolling grasses of the grasslands.

We got this his thoughts to himself continued.

What type of pokemon does Yune startle?

Yune made a mis step disturbing a nest of baby pokemon and it seemed that their parents weren't to happy about the situation and attacked. Why did it have to be scatterbugs it seemed that happened every time he came to this place. These bugs were a bit annoying. He motioned for Salsa to take the lead on things.

Salsa made quick work of the parent pokemon who attacked them using quick attack on them, knocking them out so that his trainer could attempt to catch them if he so pleased to do so.

Watching as the scatterbug fell Yune was unsure if he should catch it or not, the baby pokemon would need their parent to take care of them. In the end Yune decided to leave it alone as he would not let these pokemon become orphans if he were to take away their caregiver.

Being an orphan himself it hit pretty close to home, seeing the interaction of these pokemon parents defending their children.

Yune motioned for Cream and Salsa to follow as they left the downed scatterbug where it lay. It will be fine. He told himself, Its not dead just out cold.

Salsa scurried off as something seemed to catch the eevee's attention, only for it to return with something in its mouth. It was dead decaying and it smelled just of death. Yune winced at the smell only to have a mini panic attack in his mind. He wasn't sure if he was able to get the eevee to drop it with just hand montions alone. Taking a quick glance around the area making sure no one was around or within ear shot. Once he deemed it was safe he crouched down to the eevee's level and then with a combination of hand motions he spoke in a stern but soft wisper "Salsa Drop it."

With in moments the eevee dropped what it held in its mouth and Yune gave a small sigh of relief. Maybe this was an indicator to take a small break for a snack as he did not want Cream to go run off and do something similiar. Standing up he glanced once more around the area though this time looking for a place where they could have a picnic. Although it seemed as if they had just started a snack or lunch seemed like the plan now.

Finding what could be a good spot he motioned for his two pokemon to follow him, finding a nice clearing where they could set up. The place was perfect, and so he got to work setting up a place for them to sit and pulling out the premade lunches he made for both him and his pokemon. Once the food was out he let the rest of his eevees out of their pokeballs so they could enjoy lunch with everyone else.

Once lunch was over he packed up everything and returned everyone but Cheese and Strawberry to their pokeballs. This time leaving out the lesser fusion eevee and the pinkish eevee to travel with him. He would have let everyone out but he wasn't sure if he would be able to control all five of his eevees at once. Maybe once they had bonded a bit more he would feel more confortable in that aspect.

Strawberry was the one who found the sun-warmed berries first, she gave a small yip before pawing at the ripe berries but waited till Yune gave the okay to go ahead and eat them. Cheese on the other hand was a bit more impateint and dug in before Yune had a chance to inspect them. Pulling Cheese away so he could get a better look at the berries, but after deeming they were okay for his pokemon to eat he gave the signnal for okay and let both of the eevees he had out dig into the small snack. Even though they just had lunch the two eevees devoured the berries.

After the berries had been devoured the trio countinued through the grasslands. After a while everything in the grasslands did begin to look the same, just grass as far as the eye can see. However Yune almost had a fatal miss step, as the path ahead seemed to get quite dangerous as the grass had hidden quite a steep drop, it was at the near last miniute where he was able to avoid taking a digger into the ground avoiding the danger all together.

With the terrain having hidden dangers Yune wondered if they should return to town, soon it would get dark and with these dangers it would even be harder to see. Though part of him did want to continue a bit more, to try to bond to these two newer eevees he had aquired during the storm that had the island on lock down.

Maybe just a bit more, and then they could head back. He motioned for Cheese and Strawberry to follow, as he began to search for...well he did not even know what he really was searching for. The whole concept of exploring routes was a bit new for him, as he often prefered to stay at home in the kitchen, but new herbs and spcies could be one thing he was looking for, maybe another pokemon but honestly he wasn't completly sure what the island had in store for him. Hopefully the island as well as his pokemon would help him discover that along the way.

Just a bit more then they would head back, Strawberry and Cheese seemed to be enjoying themselves so he did not want to cut their fun, he debated bringing Sprinkle back out as the light pink eevee had only been out for lunch, but still he was hesitant on the idea of more then two pokemon out at once, even when cooking with them it was hard just to give orders to two of them, a third seemed like it would be a lot to handle, maybe when he was more experience then he would feel more comfortable doing so.

This time Yune didn't see the danger in front of him and foot when into a steep drop, causing him to take a tumble. A bit brusied and battered from the fall, Yune decided it was time to head back to the dorms. It was getting late, and now he was super sore.
