Though they're not speaking out loud, you can tell that the barrier squad are nervous about the storm; this seems a bit odd, as you were told they were trained for the job in the community chat. The abras in particular seem jumpy, with several of them teleporting a distance away after especially loud peals from beyond the bubble.

Lan paused in apply his signature shade of lipstick, frowning at the rumbling of the sky and the flash of lighting making it through the curtains of his room. Wasn't the storm supposed to be over hours ago? He hummed, finished the swoop of his lip and with a twist and a snap of the cap, set the tube down to fish out his phone. "Wynmond, so the sky is like fucking broke and I'm pretty sure it was suppose to be like done with hours ago. Anyhow, you up to see what the hell is going on nerd?" He said, watching the app change it to text and deciding it was close enough, sent it off.

He looked into the mirror, smoothing down the sleek bright purple silk of his ao dai. "Ehh, it be fine. It has trousers." He left of the jewerly he was going to try pairing with it, instead leaving his room shutting it behind him. "Okay, I think we are going to need more nerds. Where can I find one?"

The current situation was quite worrying to the albino male. How long will it continue like this? Though he did not mind it at all. He preferred to be indoors then to be outside. With Salsa at his feet and Cream being held tightly to his chest he peeked out of his room and into the hall. If they were gonna be hunkering down for a while he figured he should go check on the communal meals he had made and left in the communal kitchen to make sure there was enough for a couple of days. If not then he would have to figure out what he could whip up quickly that would last.

With the coast clear, at least to his knowledge he buried the bottom of his face into the top of the eevee he clung to his chest, beginning to make his way down towards the kitchen. Salsa followed closely behind as the trio left their room and into the open. Yune doing his best not to draw too much attention to himself.

That looked like a nerd! Lan sauntered over to Yune, high heels clicking on the floor. "You!" He said cheerfully, approaching the very very pale individual. "You look like a nerd of some sort, ooh eevees!" He paused to coo at the pair, wiggling his fingers at the adorable fluff balls. "So come along. We got to figure out why the sky is breaking."

"Or at the very least, make sure our benefactors are actually telling the truth," he said airily.

Thrud was sitting near the window in her room watching the storm flashing around just past the barrier. She had her new chingling floating up near her head also watching the storm seemingly oblivious to anything around it right now except the sound of its own bell. "Liiiiiing!" the little bell said as Nezha sat in her lap watching the rain from afar and groaned out longlingly. "Diiiiiile..." he said as he looked up at Thrud, one foot on the window longingly.

"Ok fine we'll go see whats going on...." she thought she saw a pokemon moving out near the upper edges but she didn't think that made sense. She must have seen something, tricks of the strange storm. She got up and got her side pack of snacks and things she might need and grabbed a new notebook and walked out into the hall. She saw one of the twins, from behind she had a hard time telling which one it was. They seemed to be hallering down the hall where another figure, Zak from the look of the skin and hair, was trying to hurry away.

"Hey! Wait up are you going to look at whats going on outside? I was headed that way too." she said as she hurried off after the others.

'I'll meet you outside.'

Short but sweet -- that was all Wynmond texted in return to Lan's original message. He didn't need to be persuaded or convinced, especially not after the recent barrier went up. Where had all the Mr. Mimes even come from, and why was it necessary for so many of them?

"Barker, come," he called as he flipped his trenchcoat on and kicked his shoes on. Barker yipped in delight and tossed himself off the bed, waddling over to his trainer. Wynmond scooped his totodile up, shouldered his door open, and rushed down the hall towards where he remembered Lan had headed once before.

And, boy, was it easy to find him.
Especially with the growing crowd around him.

"Diiiile!" Barker shouted as the two approached, his arms struggling to pry Wynmond's off from around him. Wynmond held on tight, either due to nerves (great, two new people) or to avoid another "incident" -- he wasn't sure. Either way, Barker wasn't going anywhere.

"Lan," Wynmond greeted, nodding faintly to the other two. Friends of Lan? Maybe?
"Ready to head out?"

"Thrud!" Lan called. "Get over here and meet our new nerd, not sure which one this is. I think it is the one that cooks?" He was almost sure he had seen a glimpse of them in the kitchen on and off. "Wynmond! Over here! I think I found you a fellow nerd!" He called, waving cheerfully.

"Ooh! I have to let you meet the new pokemon." He added, their pokeballs currently in his pocket. "How has Barker been? Did you get a pair of gloves yet?"

"Wait? What?" Yune thought. This was not what he had planned on doing. First it was one then it was three other people. He buried his face deeper into Creams fur. Then he remember some of the words that he had been told when he adopted Almond from the Enrichment Center. Maybe he should try to find a few friends of his own, rather then constantly finding friends for just his pokemon. And maybe this was that time.

The Albino glanced at the three others from between the fur of his eevee. The food could wait. And it could probably help him if he found out some of the taste preferences of a few people in the dorm rather then just making some random things to stuff into the communal fridge. His eyes drifted down towards Salsa who seemed to put himself in between him and the other three trainers, trying to mimic was Chocolate the Totodile had done in the past. "Vee!" He spoke its fur fluffing up a bit.

Thrud looked at the make as he turned around, nope not Zak. That was for sure someone new. But still familiarish. Looked kind of like someone she had seen around the kitchens. The eevees were adorable and Thrud was just slightly jealous as she walked closer to Lan and looked around at everyone else here, new people. Great. She haded trying to be nice till she knew if someone was worth being nice to. She watched the little eevee seem to defend the white haired male and gave the little one good credit for being so brave. She looked at Nezha who was watching the Eevee on the ground and then looked up at her. "Diiiile?" he said, almost like he wasn't sure if he was supposed to defend her too.

"No its fine don't worry." She looks at Lan and then the others. "Friends of yours?" she asked as she eyed everyone present, memorizing the pokemon that were around now. "Heading out to look at some of this...weather stuff? Nezha was wanting to get out in this weather and I wanted to make notes. Is that what you nerds were headed off to do?" she asked raising one studded eyebrow.

"Seems to be the plan, I know Wymond," he said motioning to the tall nerd with the three scars over his blind eye, hidden by the glasses. "We done research before. This guy here though is new." Lan said, motioning to Yune. "But he seemed like a big enough nerd to be useful on the science field."

"Besides, they said the storm should past fast and it been like forever." Which meet, Lan totally had to go and poke at it. He pulled out the pokeball containing his fusion, letting out Flapjack the mimikyuu espeon fusion.

The small pokemon glanced around before giving a crying "Mimimimi," and attempted to hide into the folds of Lan's dress. "One moment," Lan soothed, reaching down to scoop up the timid pokemon, snuggling it securely to his chest. "He's really timid so I don't know how well he going to do with you lot, just be gentle with him."

Wyn raised his head when he was motioned to, letting the glare of the light cast a sheen over his glasses. Barker waved excitedly, returning to thrashing in his stoic trainer's arms.

Lan had completely caught Wynmond's attention by letting out their fusion. Cute! Barker had quietened, gently letting out a soft "Diiile," in response. Later, when they were alone, Wynmond would have to ask about Lan's newest friend.

"We need to document anything new we find," Wynmond broke the silence, shifting Barker so he could pull out a small notebook and pen from their trenchcoat.

Thrud looked over them all and was not sure what to think about the strange people, but she liked seeing all the new pokemon and eyed the fusion that was put out. "At some point later on I would really like to look at that a little more closely, if possible, but for now I think it best that we head outside and try to find out what we can about this storm. She looked down at Nezha who seemed so confused about what he was supposed to do with the defensive Eevee. She picked him up and smiled.

"Thats a fierce looking eevee there. Makes me miss mine that I have back home waiting to come over. Well before I evolved him. Asmodeus will be happy to come over to this Island later on." she said with a smile as she thought about how much she missed her umbreon. "But lets all head out yes?" she said as she started walking towards the nearest door and glanced at the others. "Note books at the ready and eyes peeled everyone!"

Yune put a hand down and patted Salsa's head, letting the eevee know he was okay. At the motion the eevee did indeed calm. Yune then pulled out his phone and began to type upon it. His brow furred a bit before relaxing as he typed trying to figure out what to say, what could he do as an apology for his pokemon. Then he remembered he had cookies. Once he was done typing he showed it to the group.

"I apologize, Salsa is usually quite mild, but since Chocolate joined us he's been getting more aggressive. Starting to copy him when he's not around. I have some cookies if you want them as our apology."

Lan cooed at the fusion, setting him on his shoulder, ignoring the feel of oddly chilled little ghost feet as Flapjack dug his little claws in his shoulder, holding on tight. "You are a good boy, Flapjack, it be fine." He gently stroked over the cloth.

"Outside we shall go and ooh?" He paused, looking at the phone and winced at the mass of tiny text. "You do know there are text to voice apps right? That might be easier on everyone, so we aren't all trying to read your screen." He pulled out his own phone. "I use this one a lot if you want to try it? It does both." He held it out to Yune so he could see the app name.

Wynmond had his eyes locked on the fusion--Flapjack apparently, SO CUTE--until the group began mobilizing. He took a second to squint at the exposed phone, adjusting his glasses as he leaned closer. Something about cookies, it looked like, but Wyn wasn't going to keep standing there like a doofus trying to make out that tiny text while everyone did the same.

Luckily, Lan had absolutely no issues being direct.

While Lan showed their phone he took the time to set Barker onto the ground, gently tapping his forehead.

"Follow me," he quietly ordered. Barker grinned wide and chomped on his finger. Wyn hissed between his teeth, grateful once Barker's jaws opened. Yup. Deserved.

"I'll meet you outside," he announced, following where the girl (Thrud) had headed.
