As MountainClan has welcomed both new life into their territory, one thing remains ever constant - the need to feed their Clanmates. With the experience with hunting in difficult situations growing as every cat went out to hunt, many cats may find it easier to traverse their homeland and seek out what prey remains in the mountain. While still no easy task by far, perhaps MountainClan will be able to get through this next round of hunting, without any further lives lost. [ 87 / 70 ] This game will run from 9/1 - 9/30​

Welcome to the Hunting Game! Here I will explain how each cat who remained behind can help ensure their group's survival. Each month a total number of food points will be posted here. It is your job to try and reach that number before the end of the month. How do you do that, you ask? Simple. We roll some dice!

A warrior, trained in the ways of hunting, is able to hunt for longer and take down bigger prey. Each Warrior may roll 5 d20 once per day. On the result of a 20, you earn 1 Food Point to put towards the goal. Roleplay is not required, but you may go back to edit your post and describe your hunting trip if you chose. If you reach a word count of 1000 throughout the month, you may count this as a completed RP towards your cat's DP earnings.

An Apprentice, new to hunting, is still in training and has yet to reach the skill level of the warriors. Each Apprentice may roll 3 d20 once per day. On the result of a 20, you earn 1 Food Point to put towards the goal. Again, roleplay is not required, but you may go back to edit your post and describe your hunting trip if you chose. If you reach a word count of 1000 throughout the month, you may count this as a completed RP towards your cat's DP earnings.

An Elder, however, is past their prime and can only do so much. Each Elder may roll 3 d20 once per day. On the result of a 20, you earn 1 Food Point to put towards the goal. Again, roleplay is not required, but you may go back to edit your post and describe your hunting trip if you chose. If you reach a word count of 1000 throughout the month, you may count this as a completed RP towards your cat's DP earnings.

A new way to play has been added! In addition to rolling here daily, MountainClan users may also submit roleplays of their clan cats hunting for bonus Food Points! These RP's may be Solo's or PRP's, but they must be completed and turned in by 9/30 @ 8 PM EST. The exchange rate is 1 Food Point for every 250 words turned in. There is no cap on how many points you can earn this way, however, each roleplay can only be turned in once!

**Please note that only MountainClan cats will count towards this, so roleplays with Settlement loners/kittypets will only use the Clan Cat's word count!**​

Silverstreak had been so pleased with the birth of four healthy kits - a miracle from SunClan she was certain, that they all survived the journey to get here. She let Rainbowfish name two of them - he was just as much apart of the kits' lives as she was. When Thistlefur was still alive, she would leave them with the elders to go out and hunt, but since her mentor's passing... She would leave the kits with Rainbowfish and go out on her own.

Today was another day of fruitless hunting. She wouldn't refuse to eat any longer - Thistlefur wouldn't want that, and now she had four kits to care for. Still, the heavy thoughts of the MountainClan split and the loss of dear, old Thistlefur weighed on her shoulders as though she were coated in mud. Was it too late to rename Flickerkit to Thistlekit? (WC: 145)
