Hemlock is a master at the creation of poisons, both growing the ingredients and selling them. What his clients do with the wares he sells he doesn't bother with; what he truly cares about is his craft, and having the means to continue it without concern. That, and his family -- although he keeps his personal life private in an effort to protect them from his inevitable risky clients. He does not open up to outsiders and reserves his best self for his family. To them, he is protective, caring, and gentle. He is grateful for the warmth Forsaken has brought into his life and the children they bore together.
He has long experimented with poisons on his own body and has developed a fairly developed resistance as a result. He keeps this information to himself.

「◇ ◇ — History」
- Hemlock was born into a family of apothecaries and originally learned how to make medicine. His interest would later turn toward the detection and creation of poisons. He began to study poison-making alongside medicine under the supervision of his family.
- Barely a young adult, Hemlock discovered his family's involvement with their town's criminal underbelly. It was predominantly Hemlock's family who medically cared for those from the shadows, leading to Hemlock's future poison shop instantly blooming with customers. He had hoped to begin his new career helping researchers and other enthusiasts, but instead, he found himself surrounded by those with nefarious intents. He learned to overlook who purchased his wares and focus on his own studies funded by his sales.
- Loving someone hadn't been a part of the equation, but then Forsaken appeared. He recognized the note handed to him; they were a worker under one of his least favorited clients, Twisted Rose. He had meant to keep his distance from Forsaken, but their returned visits only made him more and more unsettled.
- He realized fairly later that he had a crush on Forsaken, but refused to pander to it. Loving someone who worked for Twisted Rose was only dangerous; he wasn't going to risk his life for love. How cliche. Except, he couldn't help himself from slipping up and admitting his feelings during one of Forsaken's visits. When Forsaken returned the sentiment he knew he was doomed, but maybe that was okay....
- Twisted Rose began visiting the shop, having noticed something was off. It would come as a surprise to Hemlock when she would suddenly declare she had noticed their relationship, was fine with it, and would allow it to continue if Hemlock heavily discounted his wares for her. The alternative was she would take Forsaken somewhere far from Spring's Rain, never to return. He almost stumbled over himself to accept her deal.
- Forsaken moved into Hemlock's cabin and they'd later have two children; Oleander and Belladonna. Hemlock swore he'd always protect them that day.
- He raised his children in peace. Belladonna worried him, for she showed interest in working for Twisted Rose. Twisted had gone out of her way to include herself in Forsaken and Hemlock's life, and was now known as an aunt to his children. He tried his best to deter Belladonna, but his daughter remained determined.

Rocket has worked hard to rebuild himself, and he has! He has interests again, he's creative, and he is finally ready to make friends. He's come far from the depressive hole he had dug himself after his divorce -- he might even say he's proud. Yet, he's still trying to find a new path forward. He feels without a purpose now that jewelry making has become a horrible reminder, and has begun exploring different avenues of creation in search of his next artistic career and endeavor. Rocket is more often than not busy and has little time to indulge in social activities, although he'd like to.
Rocket is an artist without a medium. He has turned to finding his next calling and dedicated a little too much time to it. He'd like to make friends and find time for his family, but it's been hard to manage the time.

- He was raised by Blepicorn and Riot Doll, although he knew of Pauk. He loved his parents dearly and would help his father with his craft when older. He met Cherry Opal as a toddler at the local park and the two grew glued to one another over the years.
- He quickly took to making jewelry with gems he found himself and was encouraged to hone his talent by his family. Cherry Opal joined his side and would make jewelry with him. They dreamed of opening their own business together and spoke of it often to both of their families.
- Rocket and Cherry Opal began dating as teenagers. Riot Doll began helping Rocket advertise his creations, leading to Rocket making enough coin to move out once reaching adulthood. Cherry Opal immediately moved in with him and they married young.
- They were blessed with children and Rocket was elated. Sure, they were young and hadn't been prepared, but he knew they'd be excellent parents. He had thought Cherry Opal felt the same, but her opinion would eventually change about their future together. They broke up when the kids were young. Rocket took Absolute Aesthetic and ??? to his parent's house and crumbled once he was sure they'd help take care of the kids.
- Rocket wallowed for most of his kid's childhood. He was grateful Riot Doll and Blepicorn were excellent grandparents, even if his father kept insisting Rocket begin taking care of himself. Rocket had promised to help his father work while living at their house and so he did, although he found it too similar to his own business with his ex-wife. Jewelry making was no longer fun for him -- it was just a memory of a life he had dreamed of with someone else now.
- Rocket attended therapy for several years, slowly pulling himself back together and finding the determination to live a life of his own. He reconnected with his children and earnestly assisted his father until he had enough income to move back out. He has begun working odd jobs in hopes of finding a new creative outlet.
