Hello! Welcome to the world of Dungeons and Dice! This is an interest thread for a B/C shop based loosely on Dungeons and Dragons (credit to Wizards of the Coast). Please note that we are very nearly ready to fully open, but need a few things (like staff) before that's possible, so stick around!



The world is based on fantasy in a world where adventuring is common and monsters are numerous. This is a world where you could choose to stay a commoner and raise a family, or perhaps you dream of becoming a hero or even a villain.

- Follow the BS ToS.

- Be courteous and kind to all members of the shop, be it newbies, regulars or staff. All customers are loved, especially newbies as they help move the shop forward and help it to grow!

- Please be aware that the colorists/staff are people too! They are doing this for free (other than Staff Credits/Gaia Gold), so please be kind and patient. If you have trouble with any staff member please try to work it out, or ignore them, if not possible please direct your concerns to the mule (Dungeon Master Lyra) or Koiasi.

- Please no chat speak and try to refrain from constant curse words. Cursing is allowed, but please do not do it every other word or more.

- Please do not whine or beg for a character. There will be plenty of chances in the future for characters, just stick around!

- Be a good sport. There is a chance that you won't win that character you've had your eye on and that someone else will. Please do not throw a fit if you lose or gloat if you do win.

- Do not steal the art! Please do not copy, take or alter any of the art or graphics in the shop. This includes staff and user-made content. You are free to use your owned characters in your sig or banners, etc, just do not alter the art.

- The art might change slightly from now until the official opening.

- Please do not use mules to get more characters. If we find out that you are doing this you will be Blacklisted.

- No selling characters. If you no longer want a character please pm the mule (Dungeon Master Lyra) and we will find a home for it.

[Dungeon Master Lyra]

The B/C takes place in a world called Vigala in a city called Bastion's Rise. Up until now, the world has been ravaged by a plague that has killed millions and those that survived are trying to make it in an unforgiving world. The plague has made everyone in the world infertile so they must reach out to magic to reproduce. Bastion's Rise is one of the few major places that has risen out of the calamity and is giving all races the chance to live and thrive if they can manage to get along... and to not fall prey to the monsters lurking outside the walls.



No one is quite sure of all the dangers that might be in the wilds. The lack of humanoid presence has given the monsters plenty of time to regroup and thrive and to make the world their own. There are a few scattered civilizations that have survived but they are few and far between and traveling is a gamble. This has allowed adventurers to rise, securing their place in the world as their presence has been needed to give humanoids a foothold once again.



You play one of these characters that are now living in Bastion's Rise. Rather they choose to fight or stay behind as a common member of society is up to you. Perhaps they fight the good fight and want to see humanoids thrive once again, maybe they just want to peddle their wares and raise a family (etc.), or maybe they have ulterior motives... The fate of the world could be held in the hands of these people...

Roleplay
DaD is a (casual) roleplay shop, though rp is not required to have/get characters, there will be certain aspects of the shop that require rp to access. We will be trying to keep the roleplay requirements low and there will be ways to get around most (if not all) the roleplay requirements through event tokens or items. However, the main aspects of the shop will always encourage the players to roleplay. You will never lose your character if you do not roleplay. We understand that people have lives outside of Gaia.

Breeding
Breeding is currently unavailable. When Breedings become available, we currently have plans to allow from one up to four individuals of any gender to breed together. There will be roleplay slots as well as regular, however, this will be up to the colorist who is doing the breedings on which slots are available more often.
1st Cousins and beyond will be allowed to breed. Direct relations will not be. Please be aware, if you rp direct line incest to keep it to your own private rps and be careful about who knows as it is a very sensitive subject.
Colorists have a right to reject any incestual pairing if they are uncomfortable with it. This should be stated in the breeding thread rules/restrictions.

Customs
Customs are currently unavailable. How these will be paid for is still in discussion.

Growths
Baby-Child Stages: These will happen automatically after 2 weeks.
Child-Adult Stages: These will grow after one month.

Races
We currently have seven races; Human, Half-Elves, Dark Elves, Wood Elves, Fiend-Touched, Half-Dragons and Woshryn (Wolf-like People). More may come in the future.

Adventurer Classes
Classes are currently unavailable (they are still being worked on). However, there will be a way for Commoners to become an Adventurer through roleplay. Eventually, Adventurers will be sold as well without having to go through the Commoner stage first.

Leveling
Leveling is currently unavailable. Leveling will only be available through roleplay or event tokens/items and possibly RLC (to be determined). The leveling system will not go above level 5.

Campaigns
Campaigns or Meta events will be available when the staff has time to do so! We'd love for the players to have fun during these events, though we're currently unsure when they will happen.

We have seven familiars! Check them out below.

Guild
The Guild is available! We are still, however, working on making this look much nicer and neater than it does right now. This will continued to be worked on as Lore is finished.

Rules/Guidelines

1. Please be kind to customers and other staff! We do not have a shop without customers or staff alike. Be civil, no matter how you actually feel about the person. Please keep your drama out of the shop thread and shop Discord.
2. Please be aware, that Koiasi is charge. If you do not believe you can get along with them, then please do not apply.
3. Please be aware, if a staff member becomes too combative or problematic, you may be talked to and reprimanded. If the problems continue, you may be let go. However, we will try our best to work through the issues and to be understanding.
4. You may apply for multiple positions.
5. Discord is required.
6. We are looking for people who will familiarize themselves with the lore of the shop (this is still being worked on).
7. All art will have to be approved before dropped. The main reason for this is to make sure that the art matches the lore as most races have specific traits. Please be okay with critiques from time to time.
8. The lineart is not to be changed. This includes racial edits unless approved and templated.
9. There will be SC. This, however, is still being worked on.
10. Not all parts of the shop have been solidified. Suggestions from staff are always encouraged and welcomed! However, please do not be upset if the suggestions are not implemented or are turned down. All help is greatly appreciated! =3
11. If you've read these rules, using only one word, put your favorite race from DnD in 'Anything Else'. If you don't know DnD you can put one of the already made races from the shop.
12. Please message Koiasi on Gaia, BS or Discord to receive the lineart.
13. We really want people who will have fun with this shop! Above all, this is the biggest part. =33

Race Restrictions -

• Humans are more physically diverse than other races. Their skin tones tend to be more natural, anywhere from pale peach to deep ebony tones. Hair colors also tend toward natural tones though it's not uncommon to see dyed hair. (No odd eye colors.)
  Natural hair colors include; blonde, brown, black, red, grey, white.
  Natural eye colors include; blue, brown, green, grey, hazel.
• The Fiend-Touched appearance can widely vary. Skin tones though usually dark or muted tones can truly vary between anything from white to black and any hue in between including bright or pale in tone. Eye colors are usually bright but can have just as much of a wide variation as their skin tone.
  The thing that doesn't change is that every Fiend-Touched has a set of horns, claws and a tail that is fiendish in appearance. Some, however, may even sport wings or cloven hooves.
• Most Half-Dragons could pass for human if not for their wings, horns, ears and powerful tails. Some even sport a scattering of scales and vicious looking claws, giving them a very fierce appearance. Half-Dragons have slit pupils and sharp teeth, making it easy for them to tear into enemies.
  Their coloring can range in a variety of colors and follows no specific patterns, and though in the past their color would dictate what element they had an affinity for, it no longer does.
• Woshryn are unique in that their appearance can vary. Some have human-like skin and eyes with only the animal ears or tails having the animal colors, and others have fur all across their bodies. Fur patterns usually include usual wolven tones and variations, though it's also not too rare to see others that take on more domesticated dog colorations.
  Eye colors can range between normal human tones + Yellow and Orange.
• All Dark Elves have darker skin than hair. The colors of their skin can range anywhere from black to neon green and anything in between except white. Their hair color usually gravitates towards a lighter shade of whatever their skin is, though white with any shade is also not uncommon. For example, if they have black skin their hair tends to be white or a lighter shade of grey, if their skin is crimson than their hair is a bright or light red though shades can be slightly different from the skin tone.
  Their eyes tend to be brightly colored, and though bright red is the most common, other colors like bright pink or green and other vivid colors can also be present.
• Unlike most other elves, Wood Elves prefer to wear natural colors that could blend them in with the forests that surround them. Their jewelry tends toward natural symbols such as leaves or trees, or other trinkets that could easily be fashioned into things that grow from the ground floor.
  Their hair colors tend toward natural colors, ranging anywhere from white to black and everything in between, occasionally even greens that meld perfectly into the foliage around them. Their skin tones are anything from pale to dark coppery tones.
  Eye colors include blue, brown, green, grey, hazel, orange and yellow.
  
• Half-Elves are a combination of Humans and Elves. They can have any coloration that their parental races could have. No other races with Elves will have Half-Elven children.

• Things should be certed within a timely manner (no longer than 1 week).
• Images should be no bigger than 500 x 500.
• The images need to be readable and somewhat crisp.
• Main font is Cindyyo. Colorist info is in JHand. You must be willing to get these fonts. They can be found for free on Dafont.
• Preference to certs being colored to match the characters.

• Help with Racial and World Lore.
• Help with Metas and other rp required events.
• Help with Lore Questions.
• Keep yourself abreast of all lore and changes that may occur.
• You will need approval before posting any lore or making anything cannon.
• You must work as a team with Koiasi and all other Lore Masters or staff involved in making lore.
• Help fix/catch any mistakes or conflicting lore as it arises (this will need approval).
• Help with approving quests.
• Help keep track of/make posts for Shop Rps.
• You may find the current lore located here.
• You will be compensated for your work through SC, but we are figuring out how this will work still.

Things to keep in mind

• Currently the main job of a Lore Master is to help Koiasi iron out the lore, not necessarily to hash out your own headcannon. Therefore, the suggestions may not come out exactly as expected as it may work differently in Koi's head than yours. This is not in any way a slight, it's just part of the creative process.
• Please do not feel bad if some of the things suggested are not used, Koiasi has all final say on what ideas are used for cohesiveness as the shop is their headcannon.
• Please be aware, that if we cannot work together, if our ideas clash too hard or if the position is ignored that you might be let go. This isn't any slight, just some times things don't work out.
• You will be compensated through SC for your work! Though how that will work is still being hashed out.
• We are not looking for a yes man. We are looking for someone who can help with ideas, however, that doesn't mean we want someone combative either if not all ideas are not used.
• Please be aware that if you take this position that the ideas do become property of the shop once they are worked/hashed out. If you don't want something used then do not suggest it. It remains property of the shop even if you are no longer a Lore Master.
• We are not looking for anyone to change what lore we currently have, just to help expand upon it. =3

• Face edits are allowed.
• You must use the lineart provided. Do not make changes to the lineart without permission.
• You have to be able to splice and clean up templates, making the layering look proper.
• If hired, future lines will be shared via Dropbox; please have one or be willing to create one.
• You must use an art program that can handle psds and layers.
• You may be asked to create further art to see your abilities before the hiring process is finished.
• You will be judged on how well you follow lore/race restrictions.
• You will have to create at least 4-5 samples; with at least two regular and two based on a breeding between the first two.
• The official art is not to be used in any capacity except for this hiring thread. They may not be used for customs, personal use or any other shop.
