Sesame Seed-Scatterbug

(Noting for myself and anyone else who reads this for fun as i don't want this to count for word count Thrud has a little bit of an almost Chinese accent that seems to come and go at times. And Satine has a rather thick French accent and any time its italicized she is talking in French and I'm not bothering to translate it properly)

Thrud walked along the sidewalk with towards the open area that had finally been cleared for exploration. She checked the small pouch of 3 pokeballs that she had been given for this research adventure as she did not have the funds for some herself, having come to the island more or less right before the large storm hit and being stuck inside with the others and not able to do much else to earn stuff. She was reluctant to do any fighting yet with her pokemon that she had here as she was not too used to them and did not know the others enough to train with them yet. She had hung out a few times with the newer French girl, Satine, and they had been sitting together talking about her new scatterbug that she had gotten and what they might do when allowed to go out and look around the island, when the announcement came out that the Newbreeze Grasslands was finally open for the trainers here to go explore.

Finally, something to get out and go do. To see what her new little friends could do under better circumstances then just against trainers inside. Out in the air, in the grass, in the wild and getting to know her pokemon was what she wanted and liked most. She hated training with pokemon inside if she didn't have to. Her and Satine had both agreed to meet up and go out and explore together. Satine was more interested in the flora and environment then in the pokemon really herself, whereas Thrud was wanting to see what was here and explore the excitement and dangers, while still being at least kind of safe in a group. It was such a nice day, one she was needing a lot after so long with the storm and the dark cloudy sky. She stretched as she neared the edge of the city where she had said she would meet Satine and rolled her head and shoulders to warm up everything before taking out each of her pokemon to enjoy the walk with her.

Hirschfeld flew around with a happy chime before settling on her shoulder and playing with her red hair. Nezha and Snyder both stretched with a big yawn before sitting at her feet and looking around to see what was happening, as this was a very new and different location for them. Thrud smiled as she looked at them and then looked back towards the town to see the bright red curly head of Satine running towards her, a pidove flying above her and the new wiggly little black scatterbug in her arms.

Satine had been so antsy for so long, she felt like it had been WEEKS and weeks of the storm and nothing but talking and eating and trying to get plants in her tiny room, she loved the room for sure, but did miss having room for more than a few plants to keep the room nice and inviting. She had gotten to know her new friend Thrud cause of the flower tattoos the other female had. Satine had loved getting to know someone else who was interested in plants more closely, she had a feeling a few of the others did as well but she had not yet gotten to know them as much as Thrud. Thrud made it known that she wasn't really a grass type specialist, but she had a few of the grass types that she liked to use when she had them. She loved more fighting or physical types, but she loved all types for the most part it seemed so Satine and her got along quite fine. She had been talking with Thrud today after getting her new little bug type, named Sesame seed, who seemed rather rambunctious and full of energy. The little thing seemed to enjoy charging full speed into any situation and kept constantly trying to leap out of her arms at any given moment. The little thing was cute tho and she loved having another one here with her even tho Nevillna didn't seem please with how often the scatterbug tried to chase after her in the bedroom and try constantly to steal her snacks that Satine gave the pidove.

When they got the clear that everything was open for them to go explore, she jumped at the chance and asked Thrud to come with her. She said she would meet her at the edge of town after she went to get Nevillna and her bag of stuff. She hurried off, the scatterbug fighting her as she hurried to her room to get her stuff. She loved it! finally action! Adventure! NOTES to fill into her research log both for herself and for the teams here! She grabbed everything she needed and shoved it into her bag, Sesame scurrying around on the ground, picking up the stick in his mouth that he seemed to like as a toy and playing with it in some way that Satine had not quite figured out. Nev peeped from her perch at the window and watched her frantically get ready before grabbing the bug, stick and all, and asking her to come with as they hurried out. Nev flying after her and keeping up easily as she hurried to the edge of town with the bug in hand.

Panting and out of breath she hurried up to Thrud and smiled, panting and setting the rash little bug on the ground and clutching her side as she tried to breathe again. "Hey...sorry....had to...find...everything....S-Sesame needed his stick." she said as she pulled said stick from her curls and laughed as she smiled and watched the bug eyeing the other two pokemon on the ground wondering what he wanted to do about it he as he had not met any others except Nevillna at this point.

Thrud watched the girl stumble up to her and pant heavily as she set the little naughty scatterbug on the ground near Nezha and Snyder, who both looked at the rowdy little bug and then at each other and they both kind of sniffed at the shiny black bug as he seemed to move closer to them, looking alert but curious. "Yes i see that." she said eyeing the stick that Satine pulled from her curls and then putting it in her pocket. "Well glad you made it. I brought some of my own snacks. People and Pokémon friendly." She said as she reached down with a little snack of bug size that was made of seeds and honey with some minced up berries in it. "Here little one." she said as she put it down in front of the little bug. She smiled as she looked at Satine and then tied up her hair.

"Well lets go! The day is nice and I'm sure we can find something amazing out here!" She said as she looked at her boys and pat the lightly chiming Hirshfeld on the head as he was still playing with the one chunk of hair she had left down for him. "I was thinking we would not go too far today. I want to see what we have near by and how....easily excited or startled the wild pokemon might be here. Know the area and see what is around." she said as she looked to Satine.

Satine watched as Thrud, who looked around calmly at everything gave the little scatterbug a treat. The bug turned his head and eyed the treat she put down before he picked it up in his little mouth and started nibbling on it happily. She looked at the other red head and nodded as she seemed ready to head off. She pulled her headband out of her bag and put it on, to keep her curls from her face too much, she hated having it up if she didn't have to, and put on some shades with a little drop down lens she could use to look closer at things if she needed to.

"Oui! Lets get going while the sun is pretty and just starting to touch the afternoon part of the sky!" she said with a laugh, picking up the scatterbug as he was much too slow to walk, not that he was happy about it. They set off out of town and into the grasslands.

Thrud and Satine talked softly as they walked around, pointing out this or that in the plant life that was different from the areas they had grown up in. Several times Thrud watched as Satine would stop and look at something and pull out a note book and mutter softly to her self in French as she wrote or drew something, then she would look for a little clipping of seed that she could take home in her pocket if possible.

After about 30 minuets of walking Thrud looked up and saw some grass and bushes moving, she stopped Satine with a soft hand on the other girls arm and looked around, Nezha stepped infront of Thrud and Snyder fluffed up, rushing towards the thicker grass area and then yipping loudly as a cloud of fluffy leaf pokemon came rushing out of the bushes, chattering away happily as they floated around each other, playing some sort of game that looked rather like tag to the humans. She watched as Snyder, startled by the sudden burst of energetic pokemon out of no place, came running back to her to stand protectivly with Nezha infront of her and he gave a little 'Rua' kind of bark in the general direction of the floating cloud of pokemon. She watched them and studied the look and movements of them, but was not interested in note taking or good at art. She would remember better with out trying to read her own notes.

Hirschfeld chimed out loudly and went to go dance around with the other floating pokemon, enjoying the time he could have socializing with things that didn't want to wrestle him to the ground like the other pokemon Thrud currently had.

When they watched the cloud of them move away she nodded to Satine and they moved on again.

Satine watched everything around her self, looking over the new plants, the old plants that she knew but seemed to be in different colored or bigger then she knew of. She loved it. The fresh air again, the sun and the nice gentle wind. It was a great change from her first impression of the island.

She would stop and write or sketch things, muttering to herself in French as she would look over things and made notes. She would watch Nevillna fly around and interact with the few things that were near by. She watched as Sesame would climb onto other branches or up into bushes, that she then had to scramble after the little worm to find. She would laugh though and thought it was funny as the scatterbug would complain loudly as he was pulled away from the thing he was trying to climb on or nibble on.

As they walked along she was muttering to herself as she walked when Thrud's hand stopped her in her tracks and she looked up from her book and watched a group of adorable grass type Pokémon of a sort she had never seen floated out in a huge group of adorable little different green leafy blobs! She gasped and quickly flipped to a new page in her book as she started sketching them out, muttering in excited French about how beautiful they were and how she was excited to catch one when they were, maybe not so many and she wasn't so focused on trying to know the area more then try and catch anything for research, quite yet. She knew she needed one of those. "We simply must find out what those beautiful little things are when we get back!" she said with an excited laugh as she pushed her sunglasses up and watched both Nev and Hirschfeld fly around playing with the brave and curious of the leafmews that were willing to interact with the two flying Pokémon that her and Thrud currently had.

"This way I think i see a little lake or river over that way." she said really wanting to get a look at some semi-aquatic plant life, as well as see what Pokémon might be out and living neat the water around here.

Thrud laughed softly as she watched the flying ones that the two of them had try and play with the leaf like pokemon as they floated away from the girls. She smiled and looked down as she watched the boys on the ground walking along. They seemed to be tolerating each other well, which was good. Her others were not as accepted by the little totodile, he was a little not sure about Camden, her lucario, but Cam said he did not take it personally. He seemed rather interested in knowing more about the pokemon that Thrud had just as much as Thrud was in knowing how all her friends would work well together when she could handle using everyone in battles. Snyder and Ollie loved to play together already, even though Ollie could be a bit of a scaredy cat at times, which she laughed about because she had gotten him his collar to look even more cool then he already did.

Ollie and Nez got along decently and Hirsch loved everyone that he seemed to meet. She was ok with that, the little guy was just a cute baby she loved keeping around she was not sure how often she would actually use him in fights once she did enough to see how he could do at least. Cyn liked to hang out with Cam most of the time but he she was ok with almost all of the others, though Nez was not always terribly comfortable around the fire type pokemon when they hung out while she was letting them all get some 'out of the ball time' that she tried to give all of them once a day.

She watched Satines pokemon, the little scatterbug being very interesting as she was not normally into most bug types, with a few exceptions. But Sesame seemed like he might be an interesting little pokemon when he started to like Satine more. He for sure seemed nervous of the pidove, probably natural instinct thinking he would get eaten she imagined but the bird never seemed interested in the bug. She was a pretty good bird and had great colors. Thrud would be interested to see how those eyes passed on should the bird ever lay eggs.

Over the next hour they talked about what they saw and they talked about what they might try to catch or fight if anything interesting came along. She was a little excited about it but also hoped that it would go ok. They stopped for a little snack break when they reached the river that Satine had found, and she let the pokemon play in the water for a bit, which made Nezha very happy.

Satine was enjoying the travel, she and Thrud talked about growing up a bit and how they each got into pokemon. She felt a bit bad that the other girl had grown up in an orphanage and how unpleasant it had sounded, but it had made the female stronger. And she said one of her real good friends was coming out to the island soon since her calls home to him had gotten him interested in the island. He had been delayed longer cause of the storm, but she was sure he would be coming in with in the next month or so. Thrud did not seem to be one who made a lot of friends, she did look kind of mean and unhappy a lot but every time she looked at the pokemon she just had such a calmness about her and seemed so happy. She could not wait to see her in a battle, that would be rather amazing she was thinking.

She spent a lot of time chasing down Sesame who kept wandering off into random directions as they headed over to the river. He was never happy about being brought back to where they were going but he was often calmed when given his stick. She thought him the funniest creature. She wondered how he would do in a fight, much as she did not really enjoy fighting, but knew that she needed to know how to work her pokemon while out cause not everything wanted to be your friend.

She had just set out a blanket near the river as Thrud watched Nez slide into the water when she watched as Sesame wandered into a patch of grass and suddenly the grass burst out and several joltik jumped out, running around surprised at the group of people and pokemon who were suddenly in their area. "Sesame!" she said as she ran over and grabbed the little bug and got him to safety, watching as Thrud ran over and seemed to get ready to try and catch one of the little bugs.

Thrud looked up as the sound of many ruffling small bodies through grass came running out as the little Sesame went running into the grass. She was on her feet in a moment and pulled out a ball as she saw several joltik scatter and run around from the other bug as Satine went to run after him and pick him up. She ran around the other female and looked at the little electric bugs that ran around and tried to find one that seemed like a good attempt to catch. She pulled back and threw, and it landed right in the middle of one of the little fuzz balls backs and with a little flash it poofed into the ball. It closed and flashed a little before staying sealed and Thrud smile. "Oh wonderful! Look i got something!" she said with a smile as she walked over to pick up the ball. She tucked it into the ball holder pouch on her side and smiled as she looked at Satine.

"Is he all good?" she asked as she watched the other pokemon all wander away. Nez and Snyder looked over from the river, almost not having any time to do anything about the scattering pokemon that had run out and all over the place. Nez watched one go one way and Snyder watched another. Nev seemed to be sitting on a small tree near by and watched it all peacefully.

"I think they will enjoy this little one!" she said with a smirk as she walked back over to sit down and have some snacks while they rested up before moving along.

Satine watched as she stood to the side and held her little scatterbug, who was attempting to get at the wild pokemon that had all scattered around them into different directions, except one, the one that Thrud expertly threw her ball at and caught the little thing inside the ball. Satine set the wiggling bug in her arms down and clapped.

"Oui! Brava! Very well done! I hope i can be that good when next we get a chance to catch something! That looked to be a good little joltik too! No match for your well thrown ball though." she said as she walked over to also sit and have some water and snacks. Niv flew over for snacks as Satine kept an eye on the rowdy little bug who was exploring around the area.

They chatted a little as they had some snacks and water and when the pokemon seemed rested and well enough to move on they packed up and moved forward.

After a few hours the few things they came across seemed nice and fun but nothing that bothered them. Plenty of things that were interesting and got notes and drawings but nothing else new so far. They enjoyed the time together talking but after another few hours of getting around and making notes on paths that seemed to come to and from the area of town and to anything that seemed interesting or dangerous, they went to a nice clearing that had many large flowers and tall grass. They sat down to watch the setting sun and to let the pokemon rest again. Eating some sandwiches that Thrud had thought to bring with they looked around and hoped to find something interesting in the beautiful clearing of flowers and grass that they were sitting in for now.

Thrud enjoyed the adventure of the traveling with a companion who, while a little odd with how often she kept talking to her self in French, was just as interested in Pokemon as she was, even if it didn't seem to involve fighting as much. Satine seemed to know HOW to fight she just didn't like it as much. Thrud loved to have a good spar session with her pokemon to try and work on their speed and reflexes. She and Nez regularly wrestled around on the regular, Cam sometimes would take to watching or trying to do some with her but he was not always the most...easy to wrestle with for her as he still did not listen well to Thrud. She loved to spend time with all of her pokemon tho, she was very close with them.

As they walked she wished more and more that she could just move out here to the wild grass lands and just enjoy wandering around by herself, or with a few of the friends she might make on the island, maybe with Toshiro once he got here, he would live near by. But she didn't imagine that the groups on the island would just let some of the trainers who came here to the island to just up and move out to random parts of said island that they knew very little about. Eventually that might happen but she was not expecting it to be anytime in this year for sure.

They walked along and she was a little surprised to know that someone as down to earth as Satine was from such a rich family and had been in beauty pageants. Thrud could believe the last one, as Satine was very pretty but just a little....too girly for Thruds taste in females. But she was one of the most beautiful people she had seen before. And she didn't want to be known for that! She wanted to be in the dirt and grass and everything?! She did seem to be some what into keeping up with her own beauty standards but her shorts still had dirt and grass stains, and her hands had cuts and scrapes with dirt under the nails and she seemed to always be pulling some kind of plant from her hair at any given moment. It was nice to know not all rich people were just stuck up rude people who did not want to be doing anything like tending their own yards or gardening or learning about why this plant grew this color in the north but was the same and different colored in the south. She had even mentioned living couch to cough as she traveled from one place to the other before hearing about this area. It was refreshing to know that she could relate to a lot of things with this rich girl, cause Thrud had never known the ease of money or family in any way.

As they sat down to watch the sun moving through the sky and behind the clouds that lazily moved across the sky she looked around for anything interesting as Satine was trying to get a rock away from the wiggling little Scatterbug.
