A Kitsusagi that has died will leave behind two things - their body, and their spirit. Before the Gods left the Realms, there was a God of the dead who would help these spirits to move on to the afterlife and allow them the choice to rest there, or to be re-born. If they chose rebirth, their memories would be wiped clean and they would start anew.

However, with the Gods’ absence, many spirits have been unable to find their way to the Afterlife and so, linger on as Ghosts.

Ghost Kitsusagi will have red orbs added to their artwork by a colorist. This change to artwork is free and may be requested only by the owner of said Kitsusagi in this thread.

So those that's the backstory, here's a few more things to keep in mind.

• Most Ghosts cannot breed.
  • Ghosts that have reached level 3 can use their magic to breed once as an OOC breeding.
• Ghosts have classes they can take on: Poltergeist, Ghost walker, and Guardian soul.
  
  
• Ghosts can be reborn into any breeding with permission from the parent's owners.
  
  
• Guardians bonded to the deceased kitsu before their death can see and hear their Ghostly Partner. Until the ghost moves on or is reborn, the guardian will remain bonded to them.
  
  
• Familiars that were bonded with a now deceased kitsu have their bonds broke and they may bond with another kitsu if they so choose.

So what's this about being Reborn?

Hear me out, it's pretty cool.

Ghost Kitsusagi may be used as an “influence” for an extra kit in a breeding.
This kit will be considered a “rebirth” of the Ghost and colorists may pull colors, markings, and edits from the Ghost Kitsu when coloring it. This kit does not count as your kit to keep from the breeding if a parent is yours, but is an extra (think of it like a semi-custom that is added on).

Breedings can only have so many extra kits tacked on via Ghosts or special items. If adding a ghost to the breeding, no further kits from items could be used.

• Only one ghost can be reborn in a 2 parent breeding.
• 2 Ghosts can be reborn in a 3 parent breeding.

After a Ghost has been reborn in this way, they will cease to exist entirely. The player is free to have certain mannerisms carry over to the kit, but not the memories.
