A ) Head to the fair to the south

This was the first time that Dawn had left her hometown in a while. She'd been morose in the seasons since she'd split with her wife... ex-wife, now and it had taken the convincing of one of her daughters, Twilight, to go see the fair. While she would have preferred to see it in the company of her family, everyone else seemed to have their own lives to tend to, and so, Dawn went alone.

When she at last got to the town hosting the event, she glanced around. She could sightsee later, but for the time being, she was coming here with a purpose: to see the wonders that the fair had advertised on its flier. So, rather than poke around the town, as she saw many others who had traveled with her were doing, she walked on towards the south, where she'd been directed to the fair. Surely there was something worth seeing, or at the very least, something that could temporarily lift her spirits, over at this renaissance faire.

Exploring the town seems to be the easier option since your right in town now. Looking around you see a general store on the corner, a police station behind you. To the left down the lane looked like a butcher shop and a few other buildings. To your right is the diner with an inn across from it. Next to the dinner was a little garden on the corner leading the lane in front which has a clinic, a bookshop, a bar, some kind of potions or cosmetic shop? Looks like a school. There are some general houses and a few paths out of town that seem to lead to farms if you had to guess. Man this place is a little dirtball. Where did farmers even sell their goods at? And no hair salon or anything else like that. This place doesn’t seem to have much going for it but at least you see some activity

A shocking amount of smoke starts pouring out of the potion shop down the street. A strange looking pony shambles out. You can’t see their eyes with their bangs over their face and a large seeping mushroom covers their head. It seems to be leaking some kind of strange substance. Strangely enough, they have a sweet fragrance exuding from them. They give you a strange smile like they haven’t quite figured out how to actually smile and pull a small potion from their sweater where you can see stich like patterns on their body. “Here try a sample of our newest energy potion.” Well that’s nice …. And a little unsettling.

Do you trust them enough to try the potion is the real question?

A. Drink the potion. Ah …. refreshing?
B. … save it for later and keep exploring the town. (you are never drinking this thing but can’t bring yourself to be impolite)
C. Pitch that thing and go back by the police station wagon drop off they are freaking you out.

You see a bright color coming out of the diner and it’s a bright pony carrying several take out bags. They smile and wave at you so you head over curious. “Ah you must be one of the new folks who came for that silly little faire in the woods. You should come check out a room in the inn first before they all get booked out then you can go enjoy the faire until you are too tired to move knowing you have a nice place to rest after a day of fun.” She winks at you. Well at least you think she did. It’s hard to see around all that hair. “The Briar Patch inn is fairly cheap and has the softest pillows in town. I promise you that.” Still they seem pretty cheery and well it does make sense sort of so maybe you should look at a room before you go? Though maybe the diner sounds like a better bet before you head into the faire.

A. Accept the invite and follow the pony to the Briar Patch Inn.
B. Decline and head to the Diner for a bite to eat.
C. Yeah you don’t wanna get sucked into this mess. The pony in front of you looks like a chatter box you’d rather head back to the police station wagon spot.

To your left down the road past the butcher’s shop, you see an earth pony with a saw working on a piece of work. There are a few small but nicely crafted pieces of furniture such as chairs and a very large ornate cabinet. They seem fairly relaxed as they work waving a hoof at you. Approaching you see there is even a barrel with some wooden swords. They must help supply them for the faire further down the road. Nice. Maybe you could pick one up on the cheap here. The ornate cabinet shifts and wobbles a bit. The earth pony doesn’t even look up but keeps working.

A. Open the very large ornate cabinet that is moving on it’s own? Brave one aren't you?
B. Try and get a sword cheaply You might need it for the faire!
C. Take a rest in a chair. Are you really tired already?

That general store seems like a safe place to start. Heading into the Flying Mew’s General Store you are impressed by the fact it’s quite large with shelves clear up to the ceiling lining the walls and very tall shelves packed with goods. An empty counter is there when you walk in with a small bell that can be rug if you need to summon a clerk. A pixie hybrid peeks out from over the top of a shelf down at you. “Welcome to the Flying Mew.” They roll off the shelf and it’s clear with their catlike features why the shop is called what it is. “Is there something you are looking for?” They tilt their head and look at you like a sweet cinnamon roll of a pony. Sales' tactic or real? You don’t know but it’s cute. What are you here for?


A. Bug screen, a fan. Practical faire items you have forgotten.
B. Just browsing the shelves unless there is something they would recommend? After all local recomdations matter
C. Nothing Head on out. Too much communication already

Coming down the lane is a rather relaxed looking pony wearing a crown. They seem at ease and might well be an actor for the faire! Hey this might be your chance to see if you can’t sneak in with a royal entourage. While you try and figure out how you wanna approach them they see you and give a rather graceful gesture where they crossed their wing before them before arching with a swoop backwards as though it were a large greeting. Still the pony didn’t stop but kept moving past you heading through the town. What will you do?

A. Ignore them and head back town to check things out agian. Please roll a d100
B. Catch up and talk to the stranger. No risk no reward!
C. Head past them and continue to the faire? Because you can just go and get in.

Nope it’s time to get past all this mayhem and go where it matters! Taking the south path it winds past a lot of fields on your right and a forest that is getting larger on your left. There are a few folks camping out the closer you get to the forest. There is a map that seems to have the forest faire listed in Zones as you get closer to the entry gateway. You take a moment to study the map. There are four main zones and a little staff area to the end of it all. There were several other ponies gathering to look at the map around you.

Zone A was the entry zone It had the main path and entrance There was this guide and check station to make sure no pony brought in dangerous weapons. Past there the path split. To the left there was a rest zone with a small clinic set up following that there was a grove that seemed set up to view some flowers and have a herb or plant class spot and to the right it wound further into Zone C and B? A security pony comes up to you and makes sure to magically lock any weapons you may have and does a general bag search for any other contraband. They clearly look tired out and like the hope for the day has long since died. Pity you don't know any good place for them to rest.

A. Explore Zone A? Roll me a D20 please

B. Follow the path to Zone B? Roll me a d10 please

C. Follow the path to Zone C? Roll me a d10 please

D. Head back to town? You will end up back police station agian.

Oh no…. I… I’m so sorry to tell you this but because of all the mess it seems like you won’t be able to enjoy your day at the renaissance fair anymore. Here let’s help you back onto that wagon and back to the train so you can go home. I hope your day gets better. It seems there is one stop along the way home you might want to look at. (I'm sorry you were not able to respond to the round in time and have been eliminated. )
