After Saga's group was practically ejected from the haunted house the attraction was completely shut down. The hushed whispered behind its closed doors was drawing even more attention to the circus. Rumors were circulating that someone had died.. that there was a ghost and thats why so many cloaked figures were arriving. If you asked Saga of her experience, well she didn't really know what she saw. While the "haunted" house itself was just a bunch of special effects and actors, which she proved by seeing what was behind door number one, everyone seemed really unsettled by the figure that appeared below. Non-actor staff wouldn't simply run to them in a panic if something were not wrong and why would the ringmaster have gone into the basement? No one has seen him since that happened though it could be a publicity stunt. This wouldn't be the first time someone faked their disappearance for buzz.
Saga was not one to believe in supernatural occurrences but the existence of vampires does suggest that other such beings could exist. Still the whole event could've just been part of the age with staged projectors to make the floating ghostly figure. She could predict at least 100 explanations for what they saw but none of them felt right. More than anything she was just frustrated. Saga did not like everyone's yearly obsession with things spooky.. or the season when everyone pulled meaningless pranks as if they were funny. It all felt highly immature and wasteful... but apparently thats what "fun" was supposed to be. She was left once again with this unresolved need for solid concrete answers and not just the deflecting responses you get from any circus ensamble you asked. Being inside that attraction made her feel foolish as her normal insight sense proved no help.. perhaps because it was all faked? Maybe her sixth sense only worked for real world situations.. she was unsure. However, the free coupons, which she assumed were a buy off despite them saying it was compensation, did net her some cotton candy so all was not lost.
When ground roots inquiry gets you nowhere you take your free bags of cotton candy, find a bench, and watch. It was true what people had said about the hooded figures, one from each realm. This was starting to feel like a serious threat and not just a cheap promotional gimic. People were more excited by this than afraid which was perhaps the most concerning thing of all of this. If there was truely a spirit haunting that house and that door was some sort of portal to another world then should they not be fearing of it? Saga was all for embracing the unknown but in smaller scale.. like using a new filing system... or trying the haunted house attraction your siblings insisted on. Communicating with another plane of existence wasn't really on her bucket list. On the other hoove, this could be a ground breaking scientific discover if doesn't curse them all. As long as the house isn't swallowed by an inter-dimensional blackhole and spirits start pouring out into the overworld they will probably be alright. Probably. She was going to need more cotton candy and more evidence and perhaps one of those giant Mao plushes for her bedroom.
