[MRP] Pondering the Thin Spots

Hattaki

Long-Term Resident

In the circus pony's rush to pull them all out of the basement where they'd seen... well something that hadn't exactly been explainable in the moment, Blood Current had gotten separated from Bloodless and shoved a handful of bent and faded fare tickets.

They'd gotten a candy apple with it. It wasn't bad.

The flightless spent some time marinating on the flare of irritation they'd had at the child's 'story' about a vampire and the ensuing rush of activity that had seen them pulled from the Haunted House. Until the very end that had been a right proper haunted house, or maybe it was made more so by the spookier of the endings. They didn't know. Their eerie eyes watched and paid attention to the happenings around until Bloodless was back by their side and even longer then, even longer. It was the council that cemented in Blood Current's mind that something was actually going on.

Alastor being missing wasn't exactly... well it wasn't a loss, not to them as they didn't personally know the other pony outside of the Circus's comings and goings. Outside of the treat it was to visit. Still... something strange was going on. They hadn't missed the photographer either, sneaking around the house when she could, and taking pictures, possibly hoping to get to the bottom of what they'd all seen in there.

"-- use your living hooves and help me!"

That they hadn't missed. "Living". Though as a vampire Blood Current's idea of 'living' was far more fluid than other ponies might be, that didn't mean that they weren't alive; add that to them having seen a hoof go straight through the transparent floating thing that had been in front of them, well... there were scarier things than ghosts around Everchange.

Weren't there?

"This has all the makings of a true ghost hunter's special." Blood Current said to no one in particular, just marinating on the audacity of it all. Right around the holiday of course, though there was maybe a reason for that. Could it be that there was another plane of existence and all those that had passed away lived just beyond the veil of a holiday spent in support of candy and frivolity? Were there more thin spots between their plane and the other hidden within the Circus somewhere? "How deliciously curious, ponies coming back from the other side, ponies long since dead. The information historians could glean, the conversations to be had."

Of course that was only their idea, they were likely wrong about the entire charade. Maybe it was just that, a charade? Those Circus ponies had been thoroughly shaken though...

Oh this was going to be delightful.

Off the flightless went for the next few days, searching around, sticking their fanged snout where it wasn't entirely welcome. Sometimes they were able to pass it off as if they were just looking for food or some adventure. Wasn't that what they were all after though? Wasn't that what had brought every one of these ponies to the Night Circus?

Adventure and the chance to be scared out of their fur, feathers, and scales amongst friends. They had to find Bloodless and drag them into this too!
