(The raccoon misses its attack on Creamnose!)

The raccoon shrieked in anger and pain, releasing its hold on one of its attackers to try and slash at a larger opponent, only to feel itself being dragged to the side, and completely off the branch it had been resting on. With a yelp, it plummeted three branches down before its flailing hands could grasp at something to halt its fall. It looked up at its attackers and snarled a warning, before its eyes moved about to search for an escape route, its confidence wavering after its fall.

(Sunflight misses her attack on the raccoon!)
HP: 7

Sunflight pulled her paw sharply away the moment it was released from the raccoon's grasp and she breathed hard, regaining herself. When she saw the way the raccoon plummeted, her anger towards it grew and she looked from her Clanmates to the raccoon.

"TreeClan, we can not let this enemy live to attack our Clanmates in camp. Let's protect our home and finish this battle once and for all!" She declared and with her paw tucked close to her chest, she began a careful descent down the forest trees towards that horrible, horrible raccoon.

HP: 10

Creamnose was so relieved when his deputy came to his aid - Riversong was certainly a cat he could count on; all of TreeClan were full of loyal warriors. Creamnose felt pride rush through him when the raccoon toppled over, even when he fell with it. Through some course of bad luck (or maybe it was good luck?) the enemy was able to get a foothold on one of the lower branches, but shortly after, Creamnose landed atop it. His fall was far from graceful, but his body was heavy and his claws were sharp. If there was one thing that the fluffy tomcat had learned over the years, it was that there was nothing wrong with being larger than your Clanmates - especially when it came to the talent to crushing your enemies.

(Branchtail hits the raccoon for 5 damage!)
HP: 7

Since taking the time to regain himself from the raccoon's crushing attack, intentional or not, Branchtail felt rejuvenated and ready to throw himself back into the fray. With his leader's call to finish the fight, he nodded - he had wanted to do as much anyway, no pesky thing could get home to his mate and kits. He smirked and leaped down a branch one at a time. His mate, at one point, had wanted to call herself Owlsbane, but instead gave the name to one of their kits. Would another kit be named Raccoonsbane, after his victory today?

As he lined himself up with the raccoon, he lashed out with his many claws and snarled fiercely.
"It's weak - we can do this, everyone!" He managed to shout to his Clan mates, pride in his mew. @NatiStorm

So focused on freeing her mate from the raccoon's grasp, Riversong mistimed retracting her claws. As the raccoon tumbled off the branch, Riversong was pulled sideways. Luckily, she managed to let go before the trashing creature could fully dislodge her from her branch. The deputy clung to her branch, claws flailing as she tried to regain her purchase.

Looking down, she hissed in response to the raccoon's warning and smiled as Creamnose landed atop the creature. As Branchtail flew past her back on the offensive, Riversong's smile grew and she felt pride swell up in her. Yes, they would end this soon for no wild creature was a match for the warriors of Treeclan!

(The raccoon hits Branchtail for 3 damage!)

The raccoon hissed and screamed as its attackers refused to give up the chase. With the bulk on its body, crushing it towards the branch it perched on, its claws lashed out in every direction. Sometimes it felt its nails connect with flesh, but mostly, it was hellbent on getting free and to safety from the onslaught it was faced with from all sides.

(Sunflight misses her attack on the raccoon!)
HP: 7

Sunflight, during her descent, practically stumbled down the tree and only succeeded in preventing herself from falling all the way to the ground. With a hiss and cry of pain, she hauled herself up onto the thicker part of the branch nearest her and pressed against the trunk, her eyes shut close. Hopefully her warriors could handle the wretched beast.

Creamnose, despite his best efforts, couldn't keep his grip on the raccoon and ended up stumbling over the thrashing creature, his claws trembling though the wood under them remained steady. He leaped up to a higher branch. He'd try to crush the raccoon again, he just had to get his bearings once more.

Branchtail flinched back as one of the sharp nails of the raccoon came towards him. He ducked, but his opponent still managed to catch one of his ears and the stinging pain that ripped through it only served to fuel Branchtail's desire to end this battle faster. He slashed out at his enemy again, catching it across its muzzle and barely had time to consider if Nutpelt would think himself more handsome, if he went home with any scars after this encounter.

Riversong was trying to gage the best way to attack when she noticed that Sunflight wasn't actively attacking. For a moment, Riversong panicked, her green eyes scanning the ground making sure her mate hadn't fallen. Looking up, she found her leader and lover just a little ways above her. That raccoon must have done more damage to her mate than Riversong had realized. Though she knew she needed to go back on the offensive, the deputy hesitated, staring up at Sunflight.

(The raccoon misses its attack on Riversong!)

The raccoon had had more than enough of its share of fighting. While the other attackers seemed to take pause in their attack, save for the dark brown male standing in front of it, the raccoon turned and started to crawl higher up the tree, a basic instinct to rid itself of any predators on the ground. It passed by a grey cat on the way and snarled a warning at her, but was too preoccupied with instinctual flight to stop to attack her.

Sunflight stopped her descent once she realized that the raccoon was making its way UP the tree branches, instead of down on the ground. Stupid creature, she thought and shifted her balance, starting to make a slow climb up the tree branches - which was harder to do with an injured paw. She glanced up when she heard it hiss at Riversong and found her energy returned to her - that fluffy fiend wouldn't be hurting her mate - not on Sunflight's watch!

Creamnose stared after the raccoon as it suddenly changed courses - why would it go up the tree? Clearly it had seen that the patrol could all maneuver well in the branches?
"Dung-brain, get back here!" Creamnose spat as he climbed up after it, claws slashing where he could reach it.

Despite his best efforts, Branchtail had been unable to make the next hit on the raccoon before it fled high into the trees branches above. Creamnose shot past him, but Branchtail took the time to recoil back towards the trunk. He ran a quick paw over his stinging ear, trying to dampen the pain by licking and blotting at it, before he, too, hurried up to continue his assault on their enemy.

The raccoon had been moving at the fastest clip it could, but cats kept coming after it and getting in its way. It shoved a hand to push away the nearest cat and kicked out with a hind leg to try and hit another. It saw one cat fall, but there were still three on its tail! Chittering angrily, it surged further up. It only had to get higher - then, surely, it would be safe, right? Right?

Sunflight had just gotten within reach of the raccoon, her working front paw stretching carefully out at it as she came upon it from the opposite side, when the creature reached out with its hands and smacked her off balance. Opening her mouth in surprise, Sunflight lost her grip and tumbled from that branch and fell from the tree she'd been attacking from. Branches seemed to stretch out as though to catch her or break her fall, but Sunflight hit the ground all the same and lay stunned, trying to catch her breath. It wasn't the first time she'd fallen out of a tree, but that didn't mean she was used to the sensation, not by a longshot.

Creamnose couldn't very well jump down on the raccoon when it was fleeing high up into the tree branches, but he could grab its tail and pull it back to his level - especially when he saw his leader, Sunflight, plummeting to the ground like a stone. He had no time to cry out to Riversong in warning, or to encourage his Clanmates to fight, he just clung to the tail of the raccoon and dug his claws in deep.

(Branchtail misses his attack on the raccoon!)
HP: 4

When Sunflight was pushed from her perch, Branchtail flattened himself against the wood he clung to and watched with horrified eyes as she dropped from the trees. His ears lay flat against his head as he tried to muffle the sound she made when she hit the forested floor. He thought of the many-lived Sunseer - would a fall like that cause Sunflight to lose a life? Was this raccoon going to kill them all? Petrified with fear, Branchtail found he couldn't make himself move and let out a whimpering cry at all the chaos around him.
