Omaloom likes to spend most of its time in the water, where its flower bud and petals spread out, creating a buoyant float to keep it just under the surface. It uses its tentacles to propel itself around as needed. Its three primary mouth tentacles excrete a sticky-sweet substance which both lures in and entraps prey when in the water. When prey is scarce, though, its flower can provide energy if needed. When startled, it emits an extremely foul, rotten flesh smell as self protection.​

Poppleen has elegant, billowing fins and frills that ripple prettily in the water. It is a very strong swimmer, able to reach speeds of four or five knots when determined. This makes it an acrobatic fighter, creating an elegant show in combat. It can blow strong bubbles when underwater, allowing it to dig up things and float them to the surface for further inspection. ​

Despite the fact that it cannot see, this pokémon loves to run and jump around. It's full of energy! It uses its long, thin ears and stomping feet to hear its surroundings, allowing it to safely bolt around... most of the time. It uses both its paws and mouth to feel the world around it, patting and biting things to figure them out - including humans and other pokémon! It isn't malicious in this behavior, but it does result in scuffles quite often.​

Skeowth can be incredibly tough, rugged little beasts. It loves to chase anything that moves, and it loves to collect and hoard shiny baubles. It is easy to bribe with toys and treats, although it can be unfortunately easy to spoil.​

Snorlax is a massive, lazy, eating machine. If it is awake, then it is either eating or trying to find something to eat. It has no problem digesting any kind of food, regardless of if it's spoiled or rotten; even powerful poison like Muk's can't phase its iron tummy. When it has had its fill of food, however, it becomes lethargic and passive, creating a nice surface for companion pokémon to bounce or snuggle on.​

It is a loyal creature, and it will mourn lost companions; it is known to create graves or monuments for these fallen friends even in the wild, using its dance to celebrate their memory.​

It is thought its magnetic powers are stronger in freezing temperatures, as metagross found on snowy mountaintops are quite energetic.​

It can mimic human laughter and cries, and it will do so in order to prank or taunt people it dislikes. Unfortunately, it also has a strong instinct to grow stronger, giving it an inclination towards a violent streak; with its ghostly abilities, it often has a tendency to fight unfairly, adding to its poor reputation.​
