Lifeline is currently attending college to become a surgeon and works at a coffee shop so he can pay his tuition. He comes from a family of farmers and always felt a little out of place because he was adopted as a young foal. The couple that adopted him had children already, two girls only a few years older than him. His adoptive parents love him like their own and supported him wholeheartedly when he said he wanted to go to school to better ponies's lives. His sisters didn't like it very much because it meant he'd be moving away. He promised them he'd visit every chance he got and has kept his promise to this day; when he isn't working or attending classes, he travels back home and helps out on the farm.

Lulu didn't entirely want to leave The Despair. She was comfortable in her village, content in the life she'd made. A group around her own age convinced her, however, and she made her way out into the world. She's very matter-of-fact and doesn't deal with her own emotions very well, let alone those of other ponies but she is trying.

She makes herbal tea blends, some to cure what ails you and others simply aid stress relief. Her personal favourite, though, is a wild peppermint and honey blend that she swears by.
