Twister was, for the lack of a better word, INCREDIBLY BORED. Somehow she had ended up in Everville, which was usually okay, but it was right in the middle of summer, which meant she was susceptible to the weather a bit more, and had a hard time getting around. So far she had been looking for one of those enchanted necklaces that would allow her to feel okay in this heat, but she hadn't found any so far. Why was it easier to get them during winter, but not during summer?!
Which was why she was in a tree, in the shade, looking about the town and trying to see if there was some sort of Popsicle stand or ice cream or smoothie or something! She just needed a cold drink or some food! Fruit Popsicle would be the best, but she was feeling too hot to even try wandering about the town even more.
She sighed and jumped onto the ground, too tired to even fly at this point. Perhaps she could find some place to stay in? Even if it was just inside of an inn or hotel or B&B at least she might be cooler in there! And so she started to walk through the town again, looking around for a place where she could rent a room and get something cold to eat and drink.
Josei was enjoying their day without Velvet being around. The Aquatic had been booked for a very specific photoshoot, one that Josei did not fit the bill for. The two were models, albeit of very different fashions. Velvet did vintage, lace, corsets, etc. Josei did punk, rock, very hip and now. They lived together, but did not do many actual photoshoots together, though they were under the same fashion designer. Weird. Ah well. Josei never thought on that too much.
Today, they were strolling through town, looking to see if anything new and interesting had entered Everville. Accessories, clothing, even ponies. Josei had a bit too much fun with ponies, never settling down, never trying to pursue much of a relationship. They did not enjoy being tied down, though they had a hard time finding any pony who interested them as more than a one night stand. Or even a few nights of fun.
Blue eyes roamed the ponies bustling about when they fell on a new face. A really pretty and interesting Bat. Stripes and spots? They wondered if that was natural, or a fashion choice. It was bold. Beautiful. Just the kind of thing Josei would go for. Grinning, they followed the pony for a bit, before realizing they seemed a bit affected by the weather. Josei dipped towards a stall and asked for a charm, before trotting up towards the other pony.
"You're looking a little under the weather. Need something to help with that?" they practically purred, offering up the charm pendant.

Twister was deciding between going for a smoothie or for ice cream when suddenly another bat pony, whom she had to admit looked quite amazing, came up to her and offered her a pendant. An eyebrow raised on her face. She didn't really want to admit that she would have to wear a pendant. She didn't want to be seen as "weak". But, she knew she should accept help when it was offered and let out a sigh, before giving a small smile to the other bat pony. "Thank you. I thought I would be able to wander around without it, but I guess I overestimated myself." She replied, taking the offered charm and putting it around her neck, immediately feeling better. She looked back at the bat. "Thank you for going to such trouble for me." She took a close look at the bat. "Have I... seen you somewhere before? You look familiar." She wasn't sure, but she could have sworn she had seen this pony... someplace. "I'm Twister. May I ask what your name is?" She said, deciding that she needed to be a bit more social to the pony who helped her. If she were by herself however, she would have made sure that she was alone for a while before conversing with any other pony. |
