He still wasn't used to the light of the sun in full. It had nearly blinded him at first after the many years spent living indoors, occasionally seeing beams of sunlight filter in through narrow cracks. Candlelight and electricity held nothing against the brightness that even now had him squinting. Softly the stallion walked down the path, thankful for the shadows afforded by the trees that towered around him. They were a welcome and protective blanket against an outside force and Eleyi ti Lume glanced up to see the sunlight drifting between the leaves and branches. This was all so ridiculously new and admittedly quite overwhelming. He may have been wearing a mask of complete indifference on his face but inwardly the pony was malfunctioning with anxiety and unease. Having separated from his brother quite unintentionally he now found himself in an unknown area and staring at trees like he'd never seen one before.
Which, honestly, he hadn't.
Not outside of the picture books anyway.
So what was he going to do now? There certainly would be no returning home, as that defeated the entire purpose of escaping, but Eleyi ti Lume also had no specific place to go. Everything had been painfully spur of the moment as the twins decided to make a run for it and now he was paying the price. Lost and alone, and again - staring at trees. Perhaps there was someone, anyone around who might help him? But how did a pony speak to others when... outside? He only knew of dealing with the worshipers, but even then Mau vang was the one who usually spoke. Well, him or the priests. Eleyi ti wasn't a mute but he wasn't a forward chatterbox either.
A disheartened sigh escaped his beak as he folded down his ears; a moment after, he shifted his wings open and shut to try and shake off the unease that was creeping over him.
