He still wasn't used to the light of the sun in full. It had nearly blinded him at first after the many years spent living indoors, occasionally seeing beams of sunlight filter in through narrow cracks. Candlelight and electricity held nothing against the brightness that even now had him squinting. Softly the stallion walked down the path, thankful for the shadows afforded by the trees that towered around him. They were a welcome and protective blanket against an outside force and Eleyi ti Lume glanced up to see the sunlight drifting between the leaves and branches. This was all so ridiculously new and admittedly quite overwhelming. He may have been wearing a mask of complete indifference on his face but inwardly the pony was malfunctioning with anxiety and unease. Having separated from his brother quite unintentionally he now found himself in an unknown area and staring at trees like he'd never seen one before.

Which, honestly, he hadn't.

Not outside of the picture books anyway.

So what was he going to do now? There certainly would be no returning home, as that defeated the entire purpose of escaping, but Eleyi ti Lume also had no specific place to go. Everything had been painfully spur of the moment as the twins decided to make a run for it and now he was paying the price. Lost and alone, and again - staring at trees. Perhaps there was someone, anyone around who might help him? But how did a pony speak to others when... outside? He only knew of dealing with the worshipers, but even then Mau vang was the one who usually spoke. Well, him or the priests. Eleyi ti wasn't a mute but he wasn't a forward chatterbox either.

A disheartened sigh escaped his beak as he folded down his ears; a moment after, he shifted his wings open and shut to try and shake off the unease that was creeping over him.

Ladybuggle didn't spend a lot of her time traveling. On the contrary she tended to keep herself rooted in one spot. She lived in Everville, making small dolls and constantly wishing she couldn't been born a dragon, for claws would certainly be more useful for sewing projects. That said, there were days that required her to travel. She would go out to collect materials for new projects. Typically fabrics and threads, filling materials... since she went out fairly infrequently, she would often wait until she was sorely out of enough materials to warrant going outside. She was an introverted pony, preferring the company of the dolls she made to other ponies-her dolls didn't talk back.

Today was one such day of buying. She had been wandering out of the cozy town of Everville. While the town suited her need for a quiet life, it didn't very well serve the need of quality supplies. Such supplies would require a fair bit of traveling. Had it been a fast trip, she would have only required a saddle bag and she could've flown to the nearest city. Alas, she had waited to where she would need considerably more product. So she hitched up a small cart to her back, stocked with a couple dolls in the case of anyone in need of a new toy for their foal or a collectible for their shelf and set to walking.

It wasn't long before the town of Everville disappeared behind her and she set into the forest. She started the small incline and kept walking until she got to the point where her wings started to cramp up. Unhitching the cart from her back, she took a few steps away from her cart to stretch out her wings. She could've sworn it was steady, yet when she turned around to hook herself back up and head out, it was gone! Looking away, she watched it rolling down the other side of the forested hill. Flapping her wings in alarm, she spotted a flash of purple in the same direction. Was there a pony down there?
Her throat tightened in fear as she started to chase the cart downhill.
"Get out of the way!" She shouted. "Runaway cart!" @houllow
