The first thing she was drawn to while entering were stunning silver eyes that didn't make contact with hers even while their owner spoke. It was hard to tell whether that was due to blindness or if the pony chose not to. Phae wasn't the friendliest herself and often chose to ignore others so couldn't discount that. "Thank you" she replied inclining her head at the others' offer even though she probably wouldn't take her up on it. With a covert glance she noticed they were a hybrid and had good taste in clothing. She continued through the shop silently appreciating the well kept atmosphere and furnishings until she found what she was looking for near a sitting area-the magic section. This is where she always searched through first and if that failed she'd sometimes grab an appealing looking fantasy book for guilty pleasure.

Daehisie nodded at the thank you. It was nice to have a polite guest. She had a number who just seemed to slink in as much as they could rather then expend a simple greeting. Her ear swiveled as she listened to the pony go past her. There didn’t seem to be a rush in the steps which was nice. Books were a treasure to be savored in her mind. A large part of her wanted to go back and talk to kill time but if the other pony was just browsing she didn’t want to bother them. She despised others when they did that. The soft tapping of her son’s claws in the children’s section could be heard as he finished up there and seemed to be headed toward the magic section.
Aacutenieuml rounded the bookshelf to see a pony browsing the magic section. Blinking he considered the shelves with an eye and moved next to the patron and slid a few books on the shelves. They were new books about enchanting that had come from fall. “Pardon me. I'll just be a moment” He tried to be unobtrusive as the patron was a unicorn and being part ghoulie he really never could tell who was old fashioned and stuck up toward ghoulie or not. His mate Nebit wasn’t but there were a fair number who were. Once done he shifted back and cast a glance toward the front. A small twitch of a tail could be seen. His mother was definitely listening. That amused him how she wasn’t part bat with her ears.
(You can snag a book if you like. Please note these are not official trinkets from the shop, just something I do for fun to help with world immersion.)

"No worries" she responded back to whom she assumed was an employee. It was really nice being left alone to browse. There were few things more annoying than active salespitchers who hovered around you your whole shopping experience battering you with questions about what you were looking for. She understood why it was done but it didn't make it less bothersome.
No worries at all she thought again when she spotted what he'd placed there with an almost villanous style glee. Phae had studied this subject already but didn't have any books on it in her own collection. They were hard to find. And filling the holes in her papered treasure trove never got old or failed to give her a high. She snatched them up with a smirk and a satisfied "Gotcha" escaped her mouth. They would be hers regardless of whatever the price was.
Phae continued to browse the entire rest of the section, reading every single title and pulling out a few others that caught her eye. They didn't make the cut but no stone left unturned. The first two books never left her grasp even though it became cumbersome. Taking chances wasn't in her paranoid nature...even in a currently empty establishment.
After however long that took (who knows because keeping track of time while in a bookstore-also not her thing) she trotted back up to the front and gingerly placed them on the counter. Phaedra hadn't been in a bad mood today but finding these had definitely and probably noticabely raised her spirits. She felt much happier now than when first entering this shop.
