Welcome to R0d3nts, an online community for the collecting, training, breeding, competing, and appreciation of not-so-standard rats! This game is operated cross-platform, on multiple forum websites, but only the Discord is required for participation.

Located in a small pocket universe, R0d3nts provides a place where all manners of lifeforms can gather to participate in a variety of rodent based entertainments. At R0d3nts, humans, artificial intelligences, world eating space squids, and cthulhian horrors can all gather and share their love of these cleaver creatures.

R0d3nts (the pets) at R0d3nts (the shop) have stats that you can use to participate in games. Earn experience to improve your rats, collect achievements to mark your progress, and breed your r0d3nts to find new and interesting genetic combinations!

Within a few weeks of opening this shop our head ended up in the hospital twice (for the first time in their life).
During the hiatus it was determined that it was not possible to reasonably operate it at it's current scope.
Although we would like to bring it back at some point, we do not have a plan to do so at this time.

Although eventually R0d3nts may be home to many species, for the time being the only species available are Standard Fancy Rats.

Fancy Rats have been specially bred to be the perfect pocket sized companion animal. They're clever, fast, and surprisingly capable creatures, eager to learn and love. Here at R0d3nts they are considered the base-line for all other species.

The different templates used for r0d3nt art are determined by their strongest stat when they were created, although they do not otherwise limit or effect how they interact with the shop. R0d3nts have three stats: Smarts (Sm), Speeds (Sp), and Staminas (St). More information on how those stats are used and on how they can be improved can be found in our Stats Guide.

The colour and markings of a r0d3nt is controlled by it's genetics! The genetics of r0d3nts are vary similar to those of actual real world rats, but simplified for our convenience and expanded to include some more interesting options. One of the primary day-to-day activity at R0d3nts is the EXP Games, which you can run your r0d3nts through to improve their stats.

Adventures are challenges faced by teams of r0d3nts. The teams may be made up by r0d3nts all owned by the same person, or by multiple players. Each adventure runs for a limited period of time and has unique features and rewards. More information on how adventures work can be found in our Adventure Guide.​

Cheddar is the in-shop currency! It is awarded as part of various events and games, and can be exchanged for a variety of prizes. You can see your own Cheddar inventory on your Player Ledger page, and you can see potential rewards in the Cheddar Shop.
