Eulalio sent out the message that they were willing to help people and get help about learning more about the native weedles. It seemed there weren't many of them kicking about, so theirs was one of the few that people could research on their own. Well, it was simple to request a space in the enrichment center for whoever to show up and help out or just watch. Now it was just a matter of setting everything up.

Purslane, their weedle, lay asleep on a pillow on a table in roughly the middle of the room. There were a scattering of toys and other things to play with if they wanted to do that, and along one wall was a table that had some foodstuffs on it. Eulalio wasn't entirely sure what weedles specifically liked, so they'd brought a variety to show them.

Sitting on a chair propped against the wall, Eulalio worked on making a small painting of Purslane while they waited for whoever was gonna show up to show up.

Cameron was... Well, actually excited for once. He had finally gotten the chance to research one of the native Poke'mon to Nauwill. He needed to know everything about them. Was there anything different from Weedle in other regions? Certainly there had to be, at least one little thing.

He was, however, a bit taken back that he'd have to be around so many people. He had hoped it would just be the owner of the Weedle, but from what he could tell, there would be other people as well...

All that aside, he arrived just on time to the meeting spot. Notepad and pen in one hand, the other held a large cup of hot tea with a sleeve on it. A swig was taken as he approached, before flicking his head to flip some hair from his face. A rather forced smile found its way onto his lips. "Hello," he would say, coming to the table. The Weedle was on top, apparently snoozing, absolutely adorable.

"My name is Cameron."

Eulalio putting out the call to study another Pokemon caught here on Nauwill made Adette jump at the invitation. A lovely Weedle! Oh how wonderful. Plus it seemed there were a few others coming too and that meant meeting more people on the island other than just Eulalio. The thing she wasn't doing was bringing any of her Pokemon. Since it seemed that Azula like too much to cause trouble and they didn't need that, Walhberct would be terrified, and Owaissa, well that one she didn't know too much yet.

Upon entering the Enrichment center and finding the room where they were going to be studying the Weedle, she found Eulalio painting and another person. She heard them say Cameron, so at least she had an inkling of who they might be without even needing to ask. Seeing the Weedle napping was extremely adorable and well the painting was just amazing.

"Hi Eulalio." Saying it somewhat quietly but loud enough that both could hear her. "Hello there, I'm Adette."

Lex had decided to join the group in researching the weedle, curious in what the differences were between the island and the kanto version. He followed the information to the Enrichment center and then to the room, walking in slowly. "Hello, someone mentioned about a group research for the native weedle?" He said, giving a wave at the group inside.

 

[Zakiax]

After receiving a message that research on a native Weedle was gonna happen at the enrichment center, Zak made his way there. After catching a few in the grasslands and turning them into the Viridian City Academy he had been curious about the weird weedles. Quite intrigued about how they differed from Kanto versions.

With his notebook under his arm and a few writing tools in his pockets Zak entered the room where it was being hosted. Seeing quite the group already formed and the weedle in question asleep upon a pillow.

"Hello I'm Zakiax, or Zak" He introduced himself. "I'm assuming this is where the research on the weedle is happening?"

It wasn't long before people started showing up. Eulalio was maybe halfway through the painting they were working on when the first person popped in. Tilting their chair forward, they waved them in, just barely managing not to flick paint on themselves in the process. Their return smile was relaxed and they didn't bother keeping their voice down as they replied.

"Well hello there, Cameron!" Adette popped in just as Eulalio was about to introduce themselves. "And it's nice to see you again, as always Adette!" She'd been a research partner previously and they were glad to see her again.

With two more trainers showing up, Eulalio figured that was everyone who'd replied that they were going to show up. "And hello to you two! I'm Eulalio and this is where we planned on doing research on the native weedle. This! is Purslane!" Eulalio set aside their painting to get up and gesture dramatically at the weedle. In spite of all the noise and excitement going on, the bug pokemon had managed to sleep through it all. "I'd hoped to get through diet and temperament today for research and tomorrow we'll try to get through the notable behaviors and physical quirks."

"To help, I brought in a variety of snacks, and once Purslane wakes up--" As if on cue, the weedle blinked awake and slowly yawned. He raised his head, and looked around at the variety of trainers surrounding it before starting to crawl towards the nearest one to climb on. Considering how small weedles were, it was going to take a minute before it got there.

Eulalio smothered a laugh before finishing their sentence. "Once he wakes up, we can try getting them to eat."

Adette waved to the new faces trickling into the room and gave a giant smile. This was just wonderful that they were all here to check out such a wonderful new Pokemon who seemed to love sleep more than anything else. Peeking over Eulalio, she looked at the painting and approved of it.

"Hello Zak, I'm Adette." She grinned and gave a wave to the other before turning back to Eulalio and Purslane, who seemed to rouse themselves from their slumber just enough to begin to move. "It seems that snacks is a key word for this one. I mean I would agree that snacks after a nap is kind of the go to thing." She pulled her notebook and pencil out of her bag, jotting down a a quick 'cute' for Purslane before going to the snacks herself. "I have a few Pokemon treats I made for them, if that's okay?"

 

[Zakiax]

Zak nodded as everyone introduced themselves. Trying to make a mental note of faces for future meetings. They lived in the same place they were bound to run into each other more later.

"I had encountered a few of them in the wild, and the majority of the time they had been sleeping when I found them. They seem to have decent hearing cause every time i would approach to get closer they would attack," he replied. "Though bug type pokemon of this region like to attack me." The majority of his explorations he had run into more weedles and scatterbugs then the rest of the native pokemon in the grasslands. He wondered if it was just his luck or if they were more common then the rest of the pokemon there.

Zak found a place to settle down before pulling out his own notebook and pencil and flipped to the page in it that had a sleeping weedle sketch in it. The only thing written on the page was 'Likes to sleep' as if it was the only thing he was able to write down before the bug pokemon attacked him.

Since they were starting with food it seemed Zak started a bullet point under the three words he had on the page to make notes

"I haven't been able to go out and explore yet, I'm still waiting for my eevee to get out of quarantine and I don't want to force the lesser fusion I've obtained to battle till he is much more stable on his feet." Lex walked over, carefully looking at the weedle that had just waken up.

The bug type had some interesting markings along it's back, to the tail. "So they mainly like to sleep?" He questioned, watching the tiny bug move around. He was learning some small information though it was going to be interesting to see what the bug typed like to eat.

"Weedles seem to allude me more often than not. Lefmew, Pidove, and Scatterbugs like me the most when I get out there. Hopefully it won't be too long before we can go back out and explore." She giggled at Zak, poor guy. She flipped through to a clean page and wrote down, 'Sleep?' and then proceeded to underline it a lot. She got a little bit closer and pulled out a few of her Pokemon snacks, placing three down near Purslane to see how the Weedle would react to them and which of the three they would pick first.

The first one was a reddish colored snack made with a few cherri, leppa, and razz berries to give it the color, its shape was that of a cube. The second one she had gotten out of her bag was pink in color and was circular, made from pecha, magost, and belue berries. Then the last snack was similar in shape of a bao and was yellow in color made from nomel, jaboca, and chilan berries.

After he had arrived, the rest of the interested parties filtered in rather quickly. There was a little clearing to his throat as Cameron shuffled his chair, attempting to give himself some nice room from the other people. It felt a little crowded, though thankfully the owner had picked a larger table. Most likely knowing that this group was a bit on the larger side.

The first introduced herself as Adette. She seemed overly eager right off the bat. Hopefully that would make her a thorough research partner and not an inhibitor.

The second who appeared didn't give his name, and instead gave a little wave and said hello.

The third was apparently named Zak. Cameron had seen him around quite often, turning in captured native Poke'mon to the Viridian City Academy. He would definitely make a great research partner.

It seemed the group was finished, though, as the owner spoke up. His name was Eulalio, and the little Weedle on the table was Purslane. Cameron's gaze dropped to the little bug, and a smile came over his features. What a cute little thing. It might not be his favorite type of Poke'mon, but it was certainly small and cute and gentle.

"Those sound like great places to start," he would say to Eulalio. Starting with diet and temperament were great building blocks. It would help a lot with trying to train little Purslane, and could help give a basis to training others.

As if on cue with the conversation of food, Purslane seemed to wake up and start crawling around in search of it. Cameron held his hand out, as if to entice the little Weedle over. For a few moments, he couldn't hear the rest of the group. He was unaware of Adette pulling out snacks to try to coerce the little Weedle. The rest of the group was talking, none of which he noticed. Cameron attempted to pick little Purslane up, but the moment Adette placed snacks down on the table, all bets were off. It was clear Cameron didn't have snacks, so Purslane was certain to leave his hands as soon as possible.

Though he hoped not. It was quite cute, after all.

 

[Zakiax]

After settling in his spot he continued to make notes in his notebook, taking out his pokedex and putting it on page on the other side, brining up the entry for N. Weedle. He read it and then summarized it out loud for everyone else.

"The Pokedex does say they lazy, and sleep up to twenty hours per day. When its not asleep it will eat up to its body weight in a couple of hours. It also says if it looses its tail it will regrow which is quite interesting. It is a herbivore so berries are a great place to start"

Yet he wondered what other plants it would eat, but he did not bring any food for the weedle, as this research was kinda a last minute thing for him today.

"Ahh, nearly forgot. I'm Lex," he added, more to the air then any one person and then hummed, turning to Zak. "Well, they certainly seem to be living up to the pokedex entry." He was learning so much, just by listening to everyone else around him, more then watching the bug.

He hadn't thought of bringing food with him, more content to absorb by the conversations happening around him. "Do you make your own poke food?" He questioned Adette, nodding to the treats. "They look very well crafted."
