Tori hefted the basket of goodies up as she made her way to quickly try and get to their meeting spot even faster. Today was a super exciting one. Shelly had come through quarantine and she'd had the grand idea to meet up with her new friend to check to see how little Barker was doing and maybe try and introduce the two of them sometime soon. Plus there was some research that the various factions wanted to have done that they could get done together.

To try and make sure that she didn't end up as a bit of a chew toy this time, she'd brought some snacks for the cute totodile. With his sharp teeth, he had to like meats so that's what she'd brought. Ones with nice bones and such for him to really sink his teeth into. There might also be some snacks in her little basket for the two of them to eat. What could she say, she was excited to meet up again.

The clearing that she'd originally met Wynmond at was an ideal spot to meet up at again. If she was early, she could set it up for them to have a nice spot to sit at, and if Wynmond was early, she'd be just as glad to see him. Humming to herself, she got to the clearing and looked around to see if her friend had arrived yet.

Tori had requested another meeting to research Barker and Wynmond, a sucker for studying, agreed. He was still anxious at the idea, but at least he was aware this time that they'd be meeting and could, probably, actually advocate for himself a bit more. Less touching would be a positive start, but he could recognize he hadn't articulated his displeasure in actual words. He wasn't a people person, that much was clear, but he did like completing the research requests and watching Barker interact with others. That was rewarding, in a way.

"No biting this time, okay?" Wynmond murmured towards his totodile, who was--for once-- walking by his feet. He was getting the hang of reigning Barker in, but the totodile was still young and prone to overestimating his own strength.

The two arrived at the clearing after Tori, trailing behind by only a few short minutes. Barker cawed in delight and ran straight towards Tori. Wynmond groaned and jogged after him, stopping once the totodile reached Tori and, gently, grabbed at her legs, indicating a desire to be picked up.

"Hey," he greeted, nodding towards Tori as he slowly slid to the ground and heaved a heavy exhale. Arceus, he hated running.

"Sorry, he wanted to check out the flowers back home before we got here."
