Theo smiled looking down into the eyes of his new Bulbasaur the orange eyes seemed shy and scared at first but after playing with his new partner for quite some time his new Pokémon seemed to finally calm down. He had just gotten Malware home and was glad that he had his other Pokémon in their balls on his hip. He put the little Pokémon down and let it sniff and wander around for a while. In the meantime he took a look and flipped through the little guide book wishing they had made a digitized version. Still with the new set up on the island he wasn’t surprised. Moving to the kitchen he snagged a sandwich for himself while Malware had a chance to explore the house. He was a bit surprised when he took three steps to the other room and heard the Bulbasaur start crying. He peeked back at it and called out only to see Malware jump up and wattle toward him as fast as it’s little legs could carry it. “Hey buddy. Mal it’s alright.” He checked it over and didn’t see any injuries or anything. Maybe it was just scared? Patting it gently he decided to spoil it and let it hang out with him as long as it wanted until it got more settled down into the house.
The morning went by pretty quick and soon enough it was time to feed everyone. Theo’s other partner Mouse would be particularly chewing off his arm if he put things off. Putting mouse’s favorite bowel on the couch and setting Malware’s dish on the floor out of sight as best he could he hoped he could take it nice and slow for Mouse and Mal to get to know each other. He got Mal started and then got Mouse out of her ball on the couch and had to turn his head while he sat on the end of the couch so both Mouse and Mal could see him but his body would block the Pokémon from the other. Mouse seemed eager to eat and didn’t really notice or seem to care about the other Pokémon but as soon as she was eating he noticed Mal’s little antenna stand up and quiver and the Bulbasaur peeked around the side of the couch and up by Theo so it could see mouse. Theo swore and tensed up ready to spring up and chase the timid Bulbasaur down. Mal called out softly seeming curious and backed up when Mouse peeked up over Theo’s knees. Mouse then moved back to keep eating. Malware stared at mouse a while longer before moving back to eat when it seemed mouse wouldn’t be coming after it. Breathing a huge sigh Theo sagged on the couch. That went well. He decided to keep mouse out and slowly introduce his Pokémon as they got out of quarantine one by one and keep it simple and watch for issues. He threw on a hoodie with a large oversized pocket before the Pokémon finished eating. Mouse when he was finished climbed into her favorite spot in his hoodie while he got up and checked Malware. The Bulbasaur seemed interested in the pocket and nosed it softly making Mouse peek her head out to register some form of grumpy complaint. The two started to sniff and investigate each other as it seemed Mouse finally decided to check out the sleep disturber and Malware didn’t seem to mind Mouse at all. When there was no bloodshed or anything other then sniffing and curiosity Theo figured it was safe to keep them both out at the same time. With that established he moved to go pull out his laptop and get to work on a hard drive clean up he meant to do earlier but brought home with him when he picked up Malware. Getting another snack and diving into his work he got busy for a few hours and when he looked up he noticed Mouse had crawled out her pocket at some point.
Worried he checked on Malware quickly only to be greatly relieved when he found Malware and Mouse both curled up on the couch. The image was so cute he took out his phone to catch a picture of them both. The next few days he noticed Mouse and Malware seemed to get along and there were times when Malware actually sought out Mouse to play. Theo figured that might have been when happened when Mouse went to sleep or play on the couch while he worked. He had a pretty large amount of photos on his SD card and he had a nice surprise. He had logged an application for a fusion Mimikyu that was in quarantine. And apparently his request went through. He didn’t understand much about the fusion process but the little thing was cute enough he had to try the application. He didn’t really understand how the eggheads in charge made the decisions who got what when it came to these things but he was glad. He brought out the Mimikyu who had seemed gentle enough in the daycare. Much like before Malware and Mouse had a sniffing session with the Mimikyu but no issues at all. In fact in a few days the timid Malware continued to reach out the other two Pokémon for playing and cuddling. It made Theo smile as he realized he had to still write a report over all this. Theo popped on and tried to log as much as he could from the past few days and how Malware who still jumped when his computer noises were too loud seemed to have no problems with other breeds of Pokémon after a few days of getting to know them and sought them and Theo himself out to play and relax near. He took the time to attach the pictures he had taken as well. There were several of his Pokémon eating, playing, sleeping together and while there were two or three of Malware hiding in fear as Motherboard the Mimikyu tried to show him something there were enough of Malware curled up and nuzzling Mo that he figured it should be clear that the Bulbasaur got along well enough with the other species that it shouldn’t be a problem for the folks from the Fairlight Company.
