Celebration of Innovation
Where Is It Celebrated? Around the gate hubs! Since it's for every realm. There are things set up on both sides of the gate for both spectators, general attendees and inventors.
When Is It Celebrated? During the summer, all the realms decide on a specific date the year before and continue to do so in order to have adequate prep.
Why Do We Celebrate it? This holiday is celebrate to share the technological advances the kitsu across the realms made that year in all fields; magic, alchemy, technology and magi tech. It's also about inspiring the next generation of inventors so kits are welcome too as there are special things for them to do as well so all ages are welcome.
About: It's basically a giant science expo! So any inventor, mage, etc. who thinks they've come up with the next big thing or even small improvement to something already existing would bring their invention to show to the other Communities! It's also an excellent opportunity to share knowledge across realms as well. The festival lasts for about a week and a half. There's a lot of hands on stuff too for the younger kits to keep them entertained as well.
Festival of Youth
Where Is It Celebrated? The Festival of Youth was first spotted within Athas. After realizing that other realms also had their own "longest days of the year" that varied from realm to realm, others began to realize that the Festival of Youth also takes place annually in Torrland and Kindieth.
When Is It Celebrated? This festival is held within the Season of Lights. The festival of youth takes place on the longest day in the year - which varies from realm to realm. When the sun comes up, the celebration begins and when it goes down, it ends.
Why Do We Celebrate it? The festival of youth is a reminder to enjoy the desire to play and experience wonder. While it's usually catered to kits or adolescents, adults are encouraged to join and remember the whimsy of their kithood days. No one is turned away so long as they have a playful spirit!
About: This festival is often regarded as a large party for the youngsters of the community. Rather than being held in one location or realm in particular, this festival tends to be held in smaller communities or groups. Some parents use it as an excuse to get together and let their little ones romp around, giving the adults time to relax and the kits time to explore without strict parents watching their every move. Of course, some communities choose to have a proper festival - with entertainers and whimsical treats and performances. It's not unusual to see small tributes put out to the god of time on this day. A myth around the festival is that if you put out a tribute that the time god likes enough (festival treats or fanciful clocks) they'll extend the day of the festival long enough so you can have more time to play.
