Art like love comes in many forms and not all of it is honest. An art thief of the Charm crime family seemed to have been in for a surprise and a half. They had baskets and who they are with is a surprise and a half.

Family Ties​

Relatively quite overall she works as a forger under the guise of art repair and restoration. She gets frustrated easily when things go haywire for her but she loves her family with all her heart and would do anything for them but holds loyalty to her Charm crime family above all others. She will make copies of art or other things her crime family may need like documents. She met the other two ponies she ended up with baskets with at a hotel her family uses as a safe place of sorts. While there she met the Alicorn of honest and is horrified that is who she has baskets with. The other parent Gilded and the Alicorn seem to have something of a relationship together and Moon Belle Charm is keeping her distance as she doesn’t want to risk her family being exposed by an accidental slip though her thoughts often flit back to Gilded and Amonteal and she will deny it constantly but can’t seem to stop her paws from painting small portraits of them in her free time if she is distracted. Any basket raised by her will know the crime family and be more or less raised by that side of the family. They will learn who the other siblings and parents are but loyalty and secrecy for the crime family is placed above all others. A few facts about the family can be found here. She has discussed with the Gilded and Amonteal through GIlded as she is skittish around the alicorn since they are an alicorn. She knows any basket raised by them will learn about her as an adult and she accepts that. She frequents the hotel still and does spoil the baskets there but won't say a word they are hers until they are adults so they can grow up with a normal happy family with Gilded and Amonteal unless they seem to belong more toward the criminal life style and then she will introduce them to the Charm family for testing.

Gilded runs the gilded horn hotel and has no idea about the crime family that frequents his hotel. He is kind and something of a push over at times. He also has a phobia of water and loves his brother who is a healer. He is proud of how he brews a cup of coffee and he has a interesting romance he has started with Amonteal whose family have come to his hotel for a few years now. He knows the other basket owner is Miss Bell but she told him she has no interest in raising foals together with he and Amonteal which does hurt Gilded’s heart but he knows not every pony wants to be a strange relationship like theirs seemed to start. Still he is quite glad to see her and her family still come to his hotel quite often and he is happy if she ever does come to find him for help. He is always an open door for her and the children. He will tell any baskets raised by him and Amonteal about their third parent and any siblings raised by Moon Belle Charm when they are adults so they can reach out if they would like.

The alicorn of honesty (powers linked) who’s ears actually hurt him when he is told a lie. He is understanding and normally relaxed. He has a romance he has started with Gilded who makes him feel relaxed and alive. He has meet miss “bell” but isn’t sure what to make of her as she always seems distant from him though he has seen she has a great amount of skill with art. He knows too the baskets are with those two but he was told by Gilded who had spoken with Belle she didn’t want to raise their surprise baskets with them. He is a bit saddened by that as his mother was a struggling single mother for a time before her mate helped her which seemed to make their lives better and brighter. He has a love of books from his mother and of tea from his adoptive father. He has a good relationship with his family and will be raising baskets with Gilded and helping in the hotel and traveling to Everville. He has a side hobby of making wine and does sell it in small casks at a time. While at the hotel he does get nausea and feels mildly ill often and believes it's just the land of Winter not agreeing with him as he was born in warmer climates. Any baskets raised with him and Gilded will learn about their third parent and any potential siblings when they are adults so they can reach out if they so choose.

Siblings​

Amethyst Gilded Charm Owner Reoakee - The youngest of the baskets she is has a close relationship with her father Gilded and loves to mimic him pretending she runs the hotel. The nice Belle often speaks to her and gives her little treats but "Ame" as she is called doesn't know why but her parents say she'll know when she is older. When she grows up she will speak to all her parents but its undecided if she will learn about the Charm's family's true nature. She was given the last name of Charm at request of Moon Belle to Gilded privately. He thinks it's just a cute name. What he doesn't know is it was done by Moon Belle to make her child easier to track by the Charm family when the child is an adult. Ame won't learn that either unless she joins the Charm family crime side.

owner Natty- This basket found a home as a fair number of charm pony owners submitted a list of names of some folks they cherished and held dear and so this basket found a home with one of them as who doesn't love to spread the charm of this family around? Not sure what the pony will be like or who they will be raised by just yet

Which parent is raising this kiddo: Due to some unforeseen and a rather horrific instance involving a drunken late night travelling by boat and mistaking a basket's contents as food, the child ended up in the care of a really shocked and rather inattentive Alicorn by the name of Vexed Coffer.

Prompt: Brine's earliest memories are opening her eyes and seeing the red head of a rather hungover Vex and a slew of curse words, something about 'not a good hangover cure after all.' From what he's said [whether or not she'll believe it], he spotted the baskets awaiting abandoned on a doorstep and assumed in an inebriated state they held some kind of food, so he'd just picked one up and took off with it before anyone spotted him.
How she'd put up with him as long as she did, she supposed, was only due to the fact she didn't know anything else. Technically her name wasn't even a name, Vex just called her Brine Wench because she was playing in the sea water once and it stuck.
Was she raised with love? Eh. I mean he traded her off a few times for something they needed to travel [something Vex liked to do quite often], but he always stole her back right afterwards and she, begrudgingly, forgave him every time.
He is a lackluster guardian, but a guardian nonetheless, at least until she's old enough to try and find her family on her own, and she has every intention of doing so since he made it quite clear that he wasn't her parent, more than once.
You can only clean up after a sloppy Alicorn so many times before you're sick of it, and luckily it didn't make her anywhere near something like a cruel pony, though she wasn't very trusting at first encounter and hugs were definitely a no.
She definitely picks up a few thieving tricks along the way, however [and is probably more likely to fit into the Charm family much more easily than the rest, but she will make the effort!]
As far as personality goes, she's definitely tougher than she looks, and not afraid to give someone a good kick for hitting on her and not catching the hint she wants to be left alone. She has never felt the need to lie and can be almost brutally honest, but at least you know she'll never try to sweet-talk you. [something she definitely didn't pick up from Vex.]

Which parent is raising this kiddo: Originally Amonteal and Gilded, but later on, Moon Belle

Prompt: Mockingbird has been a bit of a handful from the start. They are normally very quiet and observant, sometimes even creepily so, but while doing this, they are absorbing everything they can. They have an uncanny ability to copy things they hear and see, which earned them the nickname Mockingbird as a little one. They like to follow their parents around, as well as frequent customers to the hotel. Their relationship with their siblings is strained, as it seems as if they don't have any interests of their own. They copy everything that the other two do. But that's just because they haven't found what they want to do yet in life. They have a knack for art, though, and it is their only hobby that any pony really knows of.

It was during a visit by Moon Belle Charm that Mockingbird felt a draw to them. The little foal followed the other around often, and would immediately latch onto her whenever she came to visit. There was even one time where she tried to hitch a ride back with Moon Belle to wherever she came from. There was something about this pony that felt so familiar. Whenever she comes and spends time with them, Mockingbird soaks this up. They've learned a great deal about art from the other.

Which parent is raising this kiddo: Originally Gilded and Amonteal, later seeking out the Charms

Prompt: Silvio... What more can be said other than trouble? Amonteal may be the Alicorn of Honesty but this kiddo isn't gilded in truth... they are more silver of tongue. Silvio can be found scheming in corners, tricking their siblings, and blaming on the Mau. Silvo doesn't understand it but being deceitful is more fun than the truth, does it get them put in time out? Yep! But was it fun? Yep!

Silvio tries to be a good, but the pull to be 'naughty' is far too strong. Once they learn about the Charm family they will want to learn more and would likely want to be with them giving their nature to do things more inclined to the Charm family business.


(Perhaps become Alicorn of Deceit? Lies was already taken, I didn't see anything for deceit, its more broad than just lying)

Which parent is raising this kiddo: Amonteal and Gilded!

Prompt:
Atticus tends to not speak unless spoken to, unless it comes to his family or art. He's not outspoken by any means, but he isn't shy when it comes to his passions either. One could often find him talking to himself while working on his art or fluttering around the hotel, trying to help his parents out.

Atticus has no particular interest in meeting his third parent when he's older as he was happy with the life he was given. The two parents he does have around did a fine job raising him and Amethyst, and he sees no reason to disturb that peace, or the life he's sure his other parent has built in his absence. He finds Amethyst to be an annoying little sibling, following their parents around and pretending to run the hotel, but loves her all the same. After all, what would he do without a friendly little rivalry he knows only leads to the strongest of bonds. He feels as though his sister pushes him to be better and work harder. Most days. He's unsure of how he feels about his other sibling yet.

Atticus finds peace in painting with oil paints, and would very much like to follow in his parents footsteps with running the hotel, or at least helping out. The way he figures it, his oil paintings could adorn the halls of the hotel and hopefully strike emotion into those that stay there and also make a little money on the side selling what he doesn't hang in the hotel. He'd like to run the hotel with his parents, or branch off and have his own connected hotel.

Which parent is raising this kiddo: Charm Family

Prompt: Celeste was taken in by the Charm family - the moment that Dawn Charm discovered her daughter had produced an alicorn basket, she had to enforce that basket was coming home under Moon-Belle and the family's protection. An alicorn could mean so much for the family business and it would be best to raise the basket among the Charms, rather than have it be swayed by its other parents and run the risk of being turned against the Charms altogether. While Dawn let Moon-Belle be the acting parent, she would come in from time to time to ensure the proper "education" and growth of the alicorn.

As a result, Celeste grew being very proud of herself, almost to an egotistical sense of importance. She was ever so pleased to have the attention of one of the matriarch's - especially considering that Bonnie and Dawn Charm are her grandmothers! She wants to live up to all that's expected of her! As a youth she'll track down any accessible members of her family and learning their traits.

Something to note about Celeste is that while she was always rather soft-spoken as a foal, once she becomes an adult, she'll lose her ability to speak altogether. Predictably, this will give way to her domain's reveal: Silence. Celeste may struggle with the loss of her voice initially, but she'll find other means to communicate with her family and her voice is an equal loss to ensure that she can cast a wave of silence over her family, to ensure that they are never heard on their heists or when the police are sniffing around the corner. She will likely serve as a thief, like her grandmother Bonnie, who she idolizes, or as protection for her family who go out on missions, serving as a lookout.

Which parent is raising this kiddo: Charm family

Prompt: Amos loves his mother, he loves both of his fathers as well. He wants to be part of the family and learn to make amazing things for them. He tinkers with things, like clocks and tv's and anything with wires and electric bits. He paints in his spare time but he doesn't think its nearly as good as his mothers. He wants to learn how to help her with what she does but hes so much better at building and making things. He loves visiting his siblings at the hotel as often as he can. And loves talking with his fathers about what hes allowed to tell them. He makes his siblings and his fathers gifts often. He loves to make little moving trinkets and clock works like robots of simple design. He is working on designing spy gear and observation equipment for the Chime family. He also helps around the hotel fixing things that he can if it needs repair or fixing, when hes not busy with his Chime work. When he paints in his brief times of not tinkering with something mechanical he mostly only makes things for his mother, little paintings of flowers or clouds or the sunset. He loves painting clocks and the inside of clocks. He doesn't think any of his stuff is good enough to show to anyone else but his mother who he loves very much. Thinking alicorn of Tinkering/clockworks if that is not taken, back up would be maybe Alicorn of dismantling/clocks/wiring, something around metal making.

Which parent is raising this kiddo: Amonteal and Gilded

Prompt: From the getgo this pony has always had an intense desire to be close to all members of their family. Valuing their relationships with them above all else and doing almost anything to nurture and strengthen them. Very much a doormat personality-a pony pleaser-doing their best to engage with and match the interests of whoever they were interacting with. Things like never telling even a fraction of a lie to their winged father, letting Amethyst direct her like an employee when they played hotel for their other father, and saving their best drawings to give to Moon Belle that cool, artsy pony who gave them attention.

They will grow into the Alicorn of Mediation (or something along that vein) and enter relationship counseling as a career for families, couples, and even individuals. With age and wisdom they've strayed past being a complete doormat and have more limits and identity but still pride themselves on being able to get along with pretty much anyone. Family and friendships are still a top priority for them. Finding out that Moon Belle was their mother but not in their life more caused them great distress but they're trying to be understanding of it and catch up on that lost time.

Overall they try to be honest and law-abiding but are definitely prone to white lies and evading the truth to keep the peace with others. So if they knew about the Charm family’s crimes they wouldn't snitch and if they weren't let in on the secrets they would turn a blind eye to any shadyness they noticed or suspected.

Even though they didn't pursue it as a career they do have a natural affinity for art and will often sneakily sketch during a session and then really finish detailing it after their client(s) have left. Because of all the emotions that get spilled in this line of work they've gotten insanely good at being able to capture emotion in their realism portraits. Like you can understand what the subject is thinking about having for dinner level good. If the Charm family ever wanted to sell their art they might occasionally make time to make some pieces inspired from ponies they knew but changing enough it wasn't identifiable as being them. Sort of stealing the eyes and expressions mainly.

It would seem that Amos Grover Charm is learning a good number of skills with Moon Belle Charm and the rest of the Charm family while still being able to keep in touch with their siblings and parents. It won't always be easy to keep such a big secret like a whole crime family but Amos will never be alone and had a LOT of support for everyone. Welcome the family we are all excited to see them grow and flourish.

I'll be honest It was really hard to decide between a few of these entries and I liked another entry so much I will actually be getting a second breeding with these three parents and gifting out a child to one of the other entrants here who I"ll be reaching out to privately after this.
