Character Name: Yaku Kiyoshi (note for myself: Yaku is family name, Kiyoshi is given name, I always forget how Japanese names work asdfjklgbadlfg - goes by a nickname of Kiyo often)

Age: Thirty
Home Region: Hoenn
Character Overview: Kiyo was born and raised in a tumultuous household. He was the only child but wasn't spoiled like it, as his family struggled with a lot. From an early age he was demure and respectful, unless someone was an ass first. He would step in and diffuse tricky situations to the best of his ability, even if it meant talking back and giving attitude to divert their attention, and even taking a few hits. Kiyo is not one who enjoys physical violence, however. He prefers to talk things out.

Three Strengths:
Responsible: Having been raised in a business savvy household, Kiyo learned from a young age how to take responsibility for ones actions. He also keeps his word, and completes tasks with diligence. One can always count on him to get the job done.
Compassionate: "A stranger's compassion can make a world of difference." This is something that has been passed down through his family for many generations, and gives Kiyo a strong sense of self, but also keeps him aware of others and their emotions. You never know what someone is going through, therefore, you should always treat them with kindness. Who knows, it could turn their day around without you even knowing.
Adaptable: Kiyo can easily change to fit a situation that might otherwise be hairy or uncomfortable for someone else. He knows his way around people and words, and can adapt easily to a majority of social environments.
Three Flaws:
Snarky: While Kiyo chooses to start by seeing the good in others, if someone proves themselves to be an ass, well... Kiyo won't hold back with his comments. He has quite the barbed tongue when it comes to insults. It has gotten him into more trouble than he can count with especially irate customers at his parents and even his own restaurant.
Conscientious: Some would normally consider this a good thing, but Kiyo takes it perhaps a step too far. He is always aware of how he's working and what he's doing, as well as those around him, and can actually be caught too deeply in work to notice something is wrong. Or that whatever he is so focused on isn't the right thing that needs to be focused on at that moment.
Overloader: While he is responsible, Kiyo has a tendency to over do it with his responsibilities. He will take matters into his own hands that could be delegated to someone else, as he doesn't want anyone to suffer any sort of consequences that may come from it if it goes wrong. He isn't a "if you want it done right, do it yourself" kind of guy. It is more that he doesn't want the blame to fall on others if things fall short of expectations.
History:
- Born to a middle class family
- Restaurant owners who had been trying for so long to have a child
- Kiyoshi was their miracle child
- Raised very middle of the road, not needing for anything but not having excess
- Befriended a homeless Meowth around the age of 7, his first Poke'mon
- Trained the Meowth how to help around the restaurant, which in turn helped his parents, especially until he was old enough to help himself
- Went to all the right schooling for general knowledge, as well as Poke'mon knowledge, and then entered college for business after high school
- Still helping with his parents restaurant at this time, often doing the baked goods and sometimes even bartending
- Helped to grow the restaurant and open a second location because of his training with his Poke'mon, which had now grown in number
- Meowths who bussed tables, Kirlia were trained to be waiters and waitresses, Rotom and Porygon were used in conjunction for payments, and he even had a small group of Minccinno, Jigglypuff and Kricketune to provide serenading music for patrons
- Helped push his parents restaurant into the second location, and even further above that, their rankings skyrocketing quicker than most other places
- When he heard about Nauwill, he decided he wanted to see if he could strike it out on his own out there, as he'd felt he'd become stagnant at home
