Task 8(written): Write about or draw the perfect venue for a new year's party
Huge venues filled with neon lights, blinding flickering dance floors and defeating music. Those are amazing, with all the art and work that goes into their construction, but nothing's quite as nice as a small home with a friend or two.
You walk in and the air would be cold, like a slap to the face as your host admits sheepishly they forgot to turn on the heater. You don't really care, though, as you settle down onto the couch. There's only one floor, and one small TV for you to play the news channel showing the ball dropping thousands of miles away. A small kitchen that smells just slightly of pizza, and you know every snack is a free for all while you and your friends scavenge the creaking cabinets to try and find some chips to munch on. there's no music or lights, aside from a hanging lamp on the table and a small half broken speaker playing a song you haven't heard since you were a kid. The blankets are all mildly loved, with little rips and stitches. You and your friends choose to black out the windows with sheets you found in some tucked away cupboard, but nothing seems to stop the far off fire works from just barely making the room shift colored hues.
That's the perfect venue. A home, with more care in the love than the color of the walls. But, if you're worried, they're an off white, maybe a bit green tinted.
