Cooling the Dragon's Rage

Opens - NOW
Closes - December 11th, When I get up

It seems this Dragon isn't in the best of moods this season. Maybe a poem of your own creation will calm this raged soul?

Mutated Dragon - Colored by Zaikt

Let's see what kind of poets we have out there!
All you need to do is write a poem of your own creation. I will be checking to make sure it's original.
Kiki will judge each poem and the one that speaks to her the most will get to take this cutie home with them.

Poem: Forests Lie
A seed sparks into a person.
The seed becomes a tree.
The tree creates a forest
from father to son, mother to daughter.
A line of lineage formed from affection.

A lineage created to fill a void of land
A piece of earth longing to be completed by something
something that will never fix what's been undone.

The sun that cast along the twisting branches is beginning to trickle away
The heart that fed the seed is losing the last bit of fertilizer it had.

Your branch is shattering, breaking, cracking.
You know you have to let go.
The forest is overtaken by rot.

Every bird has gone still and yet you cling to your lonely little tree.

Every time you refuse to fall the rot seeps into your veins and taints your mind with the empty promise
the longing sound of togetherness.

You never feel alone
you never are alone
but this tree holds no love in its aching leaves.

This tree will fall and take you with it
as your stubbornness refuses to allow you to cut off the rot.

You will crash and nobody will hear you
So you'll say you never fell

Poem: A quick limerick for the summer-inclined <3
Stay calm, raging beast oh-so-crossed,
For I can see you are quite lost.
The cold must subside,
And you need not hide,
The sun shall return and defrost.

Poem:
Here they are the ragtag crew.
Spreading cheer to foals anew.
Bearing gifts, coco, blankets and clothes
To help those that need it the most.

Orphans faces light up with delight.
To see gifts for them to open at daylight.
The ragtag crew both old and new.
Watch on with a look that showed they knew.
For they were orphans and misfits too.

Alas, it is time for them to go.
The ragtag crew to their families at home.
All together they rejoice and cheer
For a good christmas for the orphans this year.

Poem: Equinox
Broken feathers reach toward a dimming sun,
Her light breath cradles the delicate pearls
As they descend, removing color from all they touch
Crunch, crunch!
Tiny paws race across the glittering wonderland,
Searching for the haven of another time.

Poem:
The time is near when you hear,
The mighty empire fall to chaos, hate and fear.
The chosen one must find truth for himself,
To do this he must find his trusted dwarven-elf.
Truth come, and truth be near,
For truth is nothing he shall fear.

Truth must he find,
For truth come for all the Devine.
Truth comes from all around,
Even within the human hound.
There is nothing he shall fear,
For truth come and truth be near.

When dark times across the land,
Dark night! Power! Conquer! Fight!
For many dark creatures hunt him at night.
Prowl, howl, comes the wicked and foul.
War, torture, chaos and fun,
All crosses the mind of the evil one.
Truth come and truth be near,
For darkness he shall not fear.

When an eternal night is here,
Truth shall then be finally near.
‘Find me,’ it whispers to the wind,
‘But find me not till the end.’
Find the purpose and find the light,
To end this eternal night.
Truth come and truth be here,
For truth is now really near.

When the light is near,
The eternal darkness then will fear.
Time to cast out greed, hate and night,
For the chosen one is eternal light.
The time has come now so listen here,
For truth is nearly here.

When eternal darkness has fallen,
And the evil one good and dead.
Then the chosen one shall have,
A holy crown placed upon his head.
Time is right and truth be said,
Truth come and truth be near,
Now, finally truth is here.

Behold this advice,
Truth that is told will be nice.
Though, truth that is to be found,
The chosen will need help from the mighty human hound.
For they will find the true truth source within,
It is now time for the chosen one to begin,
To find the truest of truths within.

Poem:
Does the ice come before the cold? Or is it cold because of the ice?
And does the wind howl because it's alone, or is it alone cause of the howling?
In the dark of night or in the light of day, one must see do ones self if the cold and the lonely gets too much.
But how do you know when it's too much or when it's enough? Do you cry to the moon with your poor broken heart?
Or do you wrap your self in a warm blanket and whisper to your self that everything is perfect how it is?
If you find a love and make a wish, then loneliness is no longer a risk. But is the risk of trying to believe in the love worth the heart break? Is it worth the pain should it not happen, just to stop howling at the moon?
Bright light welcomed into a cold heart will sooth the savage beast, but will true love melt the ice and help the monster of loneliness that has taken up residence in one's heart?
Take the risk, take the plunge, cause finding love is worth it if it's the right one?
Find the love.
Fight the cold.
Tame the beast and set your soul free.

Poem:
Let us Never Drift,
Lost at sea.
Let us Always Sing,
Merrily.
We are all Children,
In the eyes of the powers that be.
We don't understand,
That which we never see.

We are all One Soul.
One Heart.
Let us Stand Together,
Never Apart.
Let us Remind One Another,
We are all that we need.

Let us Be a Family.

Poem:
The snow is melting
Soon the ice shall all be gone
Calm your frosty heart

Look up at the sky
Aurora colors and stars
Brings warmth to the soul

The sun is rising
Spring is around the corner
Life begins anew.

Poem:

Ice conceals a secret built over years, over eons.
Day turns to night while everyday life echoes the same everlasting story.

A woman shelters her face with a hand as she gazes at the covered sun.
Here sunshine is an illicit desire,
and the wind is arctic cold.
She winces and groans “god, it’s cold!”

The storm chuckled, hissed, and scampered with movement.
Above, ravens palpitated their wings
and the ravens cried because they knew she was encircled.
She neglected life like they neglected their memories.
Faded whispers became a jumbled narration,
which is rewarded as passage to the timekeeper.

The cold took you, so the people blamed the storm.
They pointed with their fingers and said, “that’s it, that’s the winter's rage.”
Exposed, the people came to find the wind raise its winding backbone.

The storm jumped. The people angrily chased and followed the gale.
The wind chuckled, hissed, and scampered with movement.
“Why did the winter bite,” they swore strongly between hurried breaths.

The journey was full of obstacles; sharp, piercing, and uncomfortable.
The wind laughed as it dashed over crags of rock,
regarding the zealous people without fear.
While the ravens croaked above and wept.

This one was extremely hard to Narrow down, but with some help in the background, it's been determined @Cheyriddle4 , your poem has soothed this beast, and If you're okay with it, they'd like to go home with you.

All these Poems were so nice to read from, some captured my heart indefinitely. Thank you to all who participated.
