As Tori kept an eye out for abnormal holes in the trees, she must have gotten too close to a pokemon den, because swarming from the water is a very irate chinchou. Tori startled back, having not realized that she was so close to the waters edge. Both her pokemon were already out, so she flung a hand out to direct Caspian.
"Caspian, use wrap!" she called. The chingling surged forward to block the chinchou from his trainer, wrapping his ribbons around it. The chinchou retaliated with a bubble attack that had to hurt based on the hurt chime Caspian made. He growled and squeezed harder with his ribbons to try and knock out the chinchou. The wild pokemon made one more bubble attack before managing to free itself from the wrap attack. Before Tori could send Caspian after it again the chinchou fled back into the water.
"Oh poor Caspian, come here," she called. He was pretty badly wounded, and let her cradle him for a moment with just a sad chime in response. "Here, let's get you back in your ball for a bit. I promise if I need you again I'll use a potion to help heal you up a bit first, ok?" Even Pearl was trying to be comforting to the wounded pokemon. Gently Tori booped his poke ball to Caspian's head to recall him and then attached him back to her belt. "Let's try not to get into any more trouble, ok?"
