Holy shit! Lan ducked as something small seemed to throw itself out of the tall grass at his face. He turned on heel, swiftly tossing out Christmas to meet the ooh! It was a bug? It seemed a bit familiar he was certain he had seen these ones around the town.
"Christmas! Fairy wind!" He called, directing the battle carefully and not letting the bulbasaur dwell on the misses. She hit hard on that tiny bug anyhow. He threw a ball at it, capturing it and gleefully picked her up to spin her. "You did so good! Onwards we go! To adventure!"

Christmas rocked back, hit hard by the Sentret scratch attack but Lan threw a pokeball right after, pausing to watch it wiggle and then stop, capturing it. "Well this is an eventful exportation." He mussed, picking up the second research ball and adding it to his collection. "You did really good."
Lan checked out her scratch, cleaning it with a bit of water to cool it. "Still up for an exploration?"
