Welcome!
You have stumbled upon the Isle of Illusion's hiring thread :)
It will always be here, but rounds of hiring will be announced as we are looking for different things!
Once an application is put in here, we assume it to be valid, unless the applicant chooses to withdraw.

Rules:
  • Applicants must have access to Discord.
We do not expect you to be around every second of every day, but we do expect to have a quick form of communication with you!
  • Applicants may apply for multiple positions.
Each position you are applying for should be entered for separately. Keep in mind, you may be hired for one thing, but not another.
  • Applications must be filled out by the Applicants, and no one else.
No collaboration should happen between Applicants and anyone else to get the application done. All writing and work submitted must be done by the same person: the Applicant
  • Applicants do not need prior work experience in the B/C community.
As always, it can help! But having no prior staffing experience will not be a hindrance here. If you have never been on Staff anywhere, but have made art or done lore or support work in other areas of life, you can list them on the application. Things such as having been a lore builder for a roleplay, customer service experience in real life that can help with customer service on the staff side, or commissioned and even personal art work you've created outside of a shop.
  • Applicants must be willing to download a new program (WinSCP) in order to access and upload files.
As of creation of this hiring thread, we do not have a shop specific server, but it is in the works! And it will use this system. If an Applicant has experience with Everchange, Miscellaneous, Tea Kettle, or other similar shops and their systems, it is using the exact same program. If you do not have experience - well, even if you do - a guide will be provided in the Staff side of the BasiliskStew Group.
  • New Hires will have a probationary period.
This is to help ensure that not only do New Hires work well with existing Staff, but that they can also handle their immediate tasks, and are willing to grow further. Typically, the probationary period is 3 months. However, if Staff feels like the New Hire still needs work, the probationary period can be extended. During this probationary period, New Hires will be limited to Freebies and Small Games for their work. After the probationary period, they will graduate to Customs Threads and Larger Games, with the ability to color Breedings and take RLC in their threads coming along when Staff feels they have learned enough.
  • RLC Status will always be determined at a later date.
There are specific guidelines surrounding when and how a Staffer can take on RLC requests. Those will be provided in the Staff side of the group for those who are interested in growing to that point, as it is not just an automatic unlock after doing x amount of work.
  • The Isle of Illusion has every right to not hire someone.
Explanations as to why will not be given.
  • Do not ask for an application status.
Since hiring is basically open indefinitely, with waves of hiring as needed, all applications placed here will be considered during each wave. Unless an Applicant removes their application, they are all considered open and active applications.
