How Do They Feel: Tayller felt the same as she ever did, at first. But then her friends started changing. They liked and wanted different things than they used to. They thought different things were fun. They thought about things that she never thought about. Their conversations became awkward. With time, these friends grew distant. Not because they disliked her. She was just too childish. So she started to feel left out, frustrated, and alone. That is her current state of mind. Surely she will continue to change, just like her friends did, but in different ways. How Did They Get the Necklace: Tayller and her friends had a grand scavenger hunt at a friend's birthday party. Each foal could find one object, and a corresponding rhyme would tell them that they had found their "buried" treasure. Tayller was very close to finding something in an orchard. Then, she could see something glinting between the branching of the trunk of a tree just above her level. She mistook it for her treasure and tried to reach it. When she finally discovered the beautiful necklace, she put it on and wore it with pride. The adults were stunned and dumbfounded: the necklace was not hidden by them, as all the other treasures were. This was something someone else had put in the tree for someone to find. Tayller was not concerned in the slightest, not until her friends started to pester her to try it on. They pleaded with her until she relented. They were friends after all, why not share? But when she removed it, the necklace slipped right back around her neck. Her friends looked on in awe, for it was obvious that she had not performed this trick. In the days that followed, she tried to remove it again and again, but each time the necklace returned to her. And the effects of the curse upon it were not noticed until much later, when her friends began to grow and change without her. Someday she wishes to find a spell to remove the necklace. She is an adventurous filly after all, and she looks forward to her future endeavors. |
