Positive to the core, Sakura believes that everybody is in control of their own fate through the actions they take. If a pony is negative constantly, they'll have negative experiences in life and be more likely to draw the attention of negative energy. Likewise, those who remain positive and look ahead will find more chances in their future. She tries to take responsibility for her actions and learn from her mistakes. Sakura is strong-willed and strives to get back up when knocked down.
She's family-orientated -- her family is her life. Sakura wants nothing more than a big and bustling family and absolutely adores anything familial or romantic, especially if someone is asking for advice. She loves romantic stories and often finds herself playing matchmaker for others. Love is a wonderful feeling and Sakura wants to immerse herself in it.
In her day-to-day life she can be overly strict with herself. Sakura works hard to be someone she's proud of and has certain goals she believes she must achieve to be successful in life. She doesn't give herself much room to stray from routine and works hard on herself to keep her mental and physical state in top condition. She believes everyone needs a healthy routine and will even try and help others rearrange their life to create one. She loves fixing things and will leap forward to assist a friend in need; even if they don't want her.
Due to her interest in achieving her goals and growing herself, she is often always doing something. She gets restless easily and struggles to find rest time, even when she's absolutely exhausted. She is the type of pony to happily take side jobs or involve herself in someone's activities. As a result, Sakura knows a bit about everything. She isn't one to talk your ear off about these various topics without being asked to, but she would love to talk about it if a pony asked!
Unfortunately, due to her upbringing, Sakura has a hard time understanding different lifestyles that aren't hers. She thinks there's a certain way to life; find something you're good at, do it for a living, settle down with a pet or partner, and live a peaceful life. Danger or surprises don't fit into that timeline. She struggles to understand why her friends or family might make impulse decisions. Children should be planned, homes should be permanent, jobs should be your passion, etc etc. That is what makes sense to her, but she doesn't make a habit of imposing her own views on others.

As a young child to a single mother, Sakura found herself working at the family teahouse more often than not. She didn't exactly mind, both due to not knowing any other life and also because she genuinely enjoyed her duties. They had a nice routine they stuck to, offering Sakura a consistent idea of how her every day should be and what to expect-- she thrived on the familiarity.
And then, as life likes to do, a curveball was thrown; her mother grew ill from an unknown and rapidly progressing disease that would end her life mere days after a basket arrived by her bedside. Now only a teenager with a basket to care for, Sakura reached out to the family her mother had never introduced her to and watched as an aunt she had not once spoken to swept in and took the basket under her care and an uncle she knew nothing of took Sakura under his wing. There wasn't much Sakura could do about it, honestly, so she tried her best to divert her attention elsewhere; to something more manageable.
Her uncle and she remained civil but distant as Sakura focused on helping around his mochi shop. Work was understandable to her, at least, and she rather busy her hooves than really dive into the dramatic upheaval of her life. Her uncle was neither kind nor cruel; he gave her what she needed and provided her with a safe home. When she graduated from school he helped her buy back her mother's house with the money from her mother's will, and with that their communications ended.

「◇ ◇ — Adulthood」
Her younger sister, now named Lotus, arrived at her doorstep one night with a bag and nothing more than a request to live with Sakura until her high school days were over. Sakura would come to find out that Lotus had become the victim of intense and terrible bullying and their aunt was at her wit's end and, in a particularly nasty argument, had told Lotus to find someone else to live with if she wasn't going to start behaving around the house. Sakura did the only thing she could think of; she immediately ushered Lotus into her guest bedroom and made her a cup of tea.
Lotus became a shut-in who attended school virtually and descended into a videogame addiction. Sakura tried to offer the sister she knew really knew support where she could, but Lotus remained resistant. Sakura returned to focusing on the one thing that ever provided her peace and clarity and opened a combination of a teahouse and mochi store named Momochi, where she spent most of her time and attention on.
In an attempt to get out more, Sakura attended a singles event and met Prickly Pear and Carmelita. It'd be a surprise when three baskets arrived shortly after their encounter, but all three ponies were happy to raise the children and each took a child to live within their own personal homes with consistent visits as a group. Sakura took in Sanrio, a quiet child who didn't ask for much and enjoyed reading and calligraphy. He helped around the shop when he grew older and continued to work part-time for Momochi once he became an adult and set out on his own.
Meanwhile, Sakura and Prickly Pear grew closer over the years and became romantically entangled. Prickly Pear moved in with Sakura shortly after Sanrio left home.

Glimmer Shimmer loves meeting new ponies and befriending them, however, she's quick to drop her smile and bare her teeth at those who treat her poorly. Glimmer Shimmer isn't the kind of pony you expect to have a backbone; she loves arts and crafts, volunteers in her free time, and seems to always have something kind to say. She prefers a happy and easygoing life and attitude, but Glimmer has no interest in letting others step on her.
Observant and witty, Glimmer is quick to learn about another pony and stores information away. Usually, this is used to discover their favorite type of cookie or what color they may like, but Glimmer Shimmer is always ready to whirl on someone who threatens her and use the information she knows.
On the other hand, if you're a nice pony you'll have a glitter-loving friend who will give you discounts at her store. She loves "home-like" things, enjoying any reason to break out scissors or even a baking pan. If you so much as mention you need x or y she will try and make it if she can.
Glimmer Shimmer believes strongly in honesty and loyalty. She will rarely lie and can be brutally honest. Relationships are also key to her-- become someone she's close to and she'll shed her skin for you.

Born to a single mother and raised by her and the gang she associated with, Glimmer Shimmer was loved by many growing up and found herself not needing much. The gang-- which was more of a group of local delinquents who viewed one another as a family --ensured she was safe, happy, and knew basic defense in case they weren't around. She was introduced to baking and crafting by her chosen family.
