A slightly windy, yet otherwise average Monday transpired over Doveport. The clock rolled past the morning, and brought the afternoon hours. A bright warm sun high in the middle of the sky over the small development. The weekend slipped away, it was time to really put things in motion
Dallas had been spending his weekend mostly indoors. Getting himself familiar with his surroundings. With the living situation, with the town, and with the people who had taken up residence there as well. The little developmental project was already underway by the time he had touched down on the island not too long ago. A brand new world with brand new adventures waiting for him, but he couldn't help but feel anxious, in a way.
After all he had a new, and very significant responsibility on his hands
And after all this time, too. So sure he was ready for this. And in a way, he was! And believed in his heart that he was. More than anything it was such a rush. A rush to be here, a rush to be stepping foot on this island, in the Nauwill Region. He couldn't let himself get in his own head. He could talk the talk, now it was time to prove he could walk the walk
With breathable summer clothes and a prepared satchel thrown over his shoulder, Dallas exits the dormhouse. The Nauwill sun hugging his skin, the wind running its fingers through his lengthy brown hair. This was really it!
He looks down at the small blue chick cradled in his hands, speaking softly to his Pokemon with a gentle, and assured tone.
"
Boa... you like that name right? I only chose it yesterday, but I hope you like it. I want you to trust me to be your partner just like I trust you to be mine " the young Trainer attempts to comfort his Torchic. They looked like a feathery little snowball in his hands, their limbs tucked entirely into the mass of fluffy plumage that surrounded their neck and body. The Torchic's mane fans out in a satisfied response to hearing its name spoken, their own head settling deeper into its own fluffy plumage. Dallas had spend most of the weekend slowly, and carefully wishing to earn his Pokemon's trust. Speaking to it, watching its body language carefully, getting to know and trust it. And thankfully his gesture was quickly returned by the Torchic warming up to him without much hesitation. It's this that brought Dallas much relief. The little bird seemed to love being perched in his hands
As Dallas enters the plaza, he spots a curly brown-haired woman, standing by her lonesome with her Pokemon. Katrina Evergrove, one of the two Pokemon Trainers who will be exploring out into the nearby grasslands for expedition purposes with him today. Her sense of style was unmistakable here on the isand, the way her blue bow matched with her Delcatty
"
Good afternoon! The weather is great today isn't it? " Dallas raises his voice to call across the plaza at Katrina, who wasn't looking at him at the time. He had a welcoming smile "
I think that's a sign of good things to come for us, don't you think? " He continues his pace, soon approaching just enough to join her in standing
