(Moonrock hits the rogue for 5 damage!)

Moonrock had been called plenty of things in her lifetime. Memory, Clumsy, Moonpaw, Mouseheart, and now she was Moonrock, though she wondered if her list of names would continue to grow and change. She was her parents' daughter and so she tended to ponder long throughout her day about curious things, like names and purposes in life and violence against others.

As a warrior, she had been taught to fight. It had been grilled into her by other cats over the seasons, though her mentor, Fennelfur, had been kind in her battle training lessons. Even with her battle training, Moonrock rarely thought of it. The moves had been memorized - a symbol of her first name, memory. She was good at remembering things and her muscle memory was especially keen. Her wandering mind often got in her way though and this must've been noticed by the deputy and leader, because she was often given a companion to go with her whenever she was spotted, heading towards the exit to the Clan's camp. She never minded the company.

Today's company was Watch. He had another name too, she'd only heard it once before. He Who Watches, and now Watch. Would he go on to take more names? She doubted it, for he was not Watchpaw or Watchrock, like she had become. Names seemed to be so important to Clans and to LostClan especially, but not to Watch. Or maybe names were so important to him, but only if they were his own.

She was going to ask him about it, really she was, but somewhere into their walk she'd gotten distracted by the smell of the lake ahead and the smell of the cat prowling behind them and the smell of the flowers that still bloomed despite the heat of greenleaf - wait.

"Watch, there's a cat behind us." She mewed and turned around to see a sleek black she-cat in the shadows. "She's not in Lost-" Moonrock began, but once she'd pointed out the stranger and made eye contact with her, the she-cat must've gotten spooked, for the stranger charged at the pair of clan cats.

Moving swiftly on reflex, Moonrock twisted her body and grabbed the she-cat with her claws, pulling her down to the ground with her. The scent of the stranger's blood which was dribbling from a wound Moonrock had inflicted on her woke her from her instinctual daze and she looked up at Watch from where she held the she-cat on the ground. "What... do I do now?" She asked. Was she supposed to kill this cat? Was Watch supposed to kill her - so that it was a Clan effort? Moonrock's gut tightened. She wasn't sure she liked the idea of killing other cats. Changing her name was one thing, but this...?

Battle Notice!

The enemy rogue that you're facing in this patrol is at half their HP or lower! Wow, loners and rogues are a lot easier to bring down than foxes, thank SunClan! You may now choose as a group whether you wish to proceed with this patrol and fight the rogue until their death, in which you run the risk of entering cats into a Death Raffle if their HP hits 0, but have the option of having any survivors be entered for patrol exclusive scars OR to chase off your enemy, which will ensure that no cat runs the risk of dying in this patrol.

Please vote below on whether you would like to continue the patrol at the risk of your cats

or

you would prefer to chase off your enemy.

If one person chooses to chase off the enemy, that will be the decided option.

The Enemy Loner has been chased off!

It has been decided that this loner will live another day. Thus, the combat section of this Patrol comes to an end.

Because the loner has been chased off rather than the patrol having continued to its bloody end, neither Moonrock nor Watch are eligible for entry into the Scar Raffle.

When you are finished entering RP replies into this thread, please tag your Patrol as [PATROL-FIN]. Once your encounter has this header tag, you may not post any more in this thread.

Watch was humming happily to himself as his paws carried him along the practiced path that was his clan's border. Those large paws of his had taken him so far, through so many adventures. Now, they ushered him further, into his latest adventure; clan life. Once, he had been a sea-farer, a far-traveller. But now, he was a warrior, a mate, and a father.

Today, he was clanmate to a young she-cat, still small and freshly named. Moonrock, how interesting. He had heard many stories about the moon in his travels. Many claimed that it was the eye of the world, much like that of the sun in some clan beliefs. Once he'd heard it said that it was an egg, one that would soon hatch and spill back all of the... what was the word... yes, dragons! Large lizards with bat wings, or something else equally wild. But to think that the moon was a simple stone spinning in the sky, well, it wasn't a riveting story, mind you. But interesting nonetheless. He opened his mouth to ask his patrol partner if she'd heard the story about the moon-egg, when her words caught him off guard.

"A cat...?" He stopped and lifted his nose to catch the wind. But before he could snatch the scent there was a sudden rush of movement

Before he could do more than turn around, Moonrock had this interloper pinned and bloody. He quickly smoothed his bristling fur, his long tail whipping about, agitated. Watch approached, sunset eyes looking over his young companion, ensuring that the scent of blood did not come from here. Seeing that she was unharmed, he released a heavy sigh and turned those eyes onto the intruder. They were not so warm now.

"An honorable warrior does not need to kill to win their battles," He recants to the captive, his voice the rumbling threat of an ocean storm, "That is what I was told, anyway. We were on my ship, my territory, and you laid claws on my cats, well. This would be a very different story, wouldn't it?" He gives a smile that feels more like a promise, "You are behind LostClan's borders, little shadow. We talk here, before throwing claws. So if you have nothing to say, I recommend you leave. Now."
