[ The beginning posts of this thread are a port over of an RP from GaiaOnline ]

Outfitted in his usual attire for a wotagei party, there was no way Ota was sure to be recognized by any of the ponies who'd also gathered to celebrate one of their favorite idols. With thick glasses on his face, his mane in a gross ponytail, and his dance clothing on his body, Ota blended into the crowds of idol fans like a drop of rain would a pond. That is to say, effortlessly. A few stallions he hadn't seen in a while were joined, and talks of which dances to do, how to do them, and who would lead were planned out. This was as much of a battlefield for them as it was a live show for all the casuals; Ota was here to show his support with blood, sweat, and tears.

As the gates opened to let folks in, Ota flashed his badge (only the weak wouldn't have proper VIP badges for the shows of their faves!) and gathered himself in place. It was decided he'd lead the charge today, if only because he seemed to know all the steps to the newest dance without any hesitation. This was their beloved's time to shine and they were gonna support her no matter what!!

Astral, or "Star Magic" as she was about to appear as let out a sigh as she steeled herself for the upcoming performance. She wasn't a huge popstar and had no intention of getting to the top, but even these smaller performances were nerve-wracking. She was starting to gain in popularity though she had avoided doing anything else but singing and performing her songs even if she had been offered to do other things. She just liked singing, and she liked singing in front of others. Couldn't that be enough?

Her manager swiftly came to get her, reassuring her that it would be all right and that there was plenty of security and medical staff on hoof if anything were to happen. Astral couldn't help but relax a bit more from her manager's reassurances. They were in this together and had become good friends and her manager knew when to push and when to get her to relax.

She waved a hoof to her manager as she stepped on the platform and steeled herself as it slowly raised until she was finally on stage, a light shining down on her. Now, now she was ready to perform. "Hello everyone! You ready to have some fun tonight?!" She cheered, glad to hear the audience's reaction.

"Aight ponies, let's do this!!" No sooner has Star Magic appeared on stage than her loyal army took to celebrating. They filled in their positions without so much as a misstep, and massive banners showing off the face and name of their beloved idol roared high into the air. If this was a battle for the performer on stage then it was a downright war for those in her audience. There was no way that Ota would lead his men to failure as they trusted him, and he them in turn.

Posing, ready, they would dance their hooves off to every single note that Star Magic let loose into the night. If so much as a single step was out of place they'd all slit their guts as apology for ruining her wonderful show.

Astral splashed her face a bit with water, thankful that she didn't need to wear too much makeup and that it was waterproof so it wouldn't be running. Another successful show, and now she was dead tired. Still, she had to meet some of her fans now. There was always some time after the show that a few select "VIPs" would be able to hang out with her as she rested and ate for a bit. They didn't go on too long and she always had fun with it, but there was a reason she needed the next two days off after every concert.

After moving out of the restroom and into her room where all of the food and drink was finally prepared, she moved over to her manager and nodded her head. "I'm ready for the VIPs." She said, her friend nodding in return before going over to the door and opening it, reminding everyone outside that they were to come in the room single file and not stand in front of the doorway.

Astral nibbled on some cheese as she waited for all of the fans to come in, though for some reason it seemed a little... empty? Was it just her or was there only one pony coming through? Not that it was a bad thing, just unexpected!

Sometimes being a VIP meant paying dues and fees and going about it properly. Sometimes also being a VIP meant that you were given passes from your daytime job and had some weird clout with your name that allowed you specific privileges that normally never would happen to a normal idol fan. Ota absolutely wasn't the average nor normal idol fan and, as he made his way in (alone) to speak with the infamously wonderful Star Magic, he was thankful.

For once.

It took no small amount of self-control to keep the giddy squeal out of his throat as he saw his (current) favorite idol, and quickly he moved to bow his head down like the fanclub demanded. "My lady, you honor me today by allowing me to be in your presence." His voice was like thick syrup, gross and cloying but really Ota didn't care. When he was out like this it was all about things he enjoyed and he enjoyed fawning over idols and attending their shows.

It certainly was much nicer than having ponies fawn over him. A very welcome change. "Your performance tonight was nothing short of amazing and those who missed it will forever regret it."
