Unaware of the stirrings of a plot in the circus, another visitor came to see what the fuss about...anxiously. Kyu had begged and snarled and all but bit Shadow Sylph until he finally relented about going. Swallowing his fear of others, however, was going to be tough, especially with the large crowds the circus had drawn this year. Shadow Sylph knew he was a cursed thing, and the magical sheet he wore was supposed to mitigate whatever curse might befoul others if they tried to peak, but that didn't mean he still wouldn't prefer staying in the darkness. Darkness was safer, and he could see far better there than he could in the light anyway. It was how he preferred to travel as well, leaping from the shadow of one traveler to another, to trees and brush and wildlife ones, until finally he slunk out from behind one of the tents, eyed the noisy heart of the event, and shuddered before pinning himself against the back of the tent's fabric.
"Yesyesyes!" Kyu chittered behind him, its shiny teeth gleaming in a big grin. "Food now! Smell good food!"
Shadow Sylph whined softly, peeking around the corner and considering the options. "R-Right now?" he muttered. "We should wait until there's less ponies."
"Too long!" the tail complained. "Food gets cold. Warm food
now!"
