(PrP) Growing Family [Lights & Vermilion ]

Her hoofs padded against the wood softly as she paced about writing in a note pad while musing ideas and plans for what was needed in their home. It had been a long while now since she had fully settled in and moved her stuff here in to Light's and her home, What had once been Lights domain now belonged to her as well. she had already accepted this fact, But it made her blush all the same " What do I need for a pond." she thought about what she could ad and what she should not ad. , she knew what her Scarabs needed and even light's maow But lotoise where a whole another story. She sighed unsure of what to do, she knew of only one Pony that might be able to help but getting her here to build she wasn't sure how to get them here. she only ever left the forest with lights, otherwise she didn't know how to come or go she still wasn't even sure how she ended up in the grove int he first place. but that didn't matter to her anymore, this was home and she wouldn't exchange it for the world.

Vermilion stopped pacing and thought about the Lotoise needs. they where large creatures, so they where going to need lots of space, and they where herbivores so they would need some vegetables to eat. she could grow some no problem, though she wondered if they needed light for their flowers, so she would build the pond in the sunniest place possible for them and then plant some vegetables and Lotoies safe plants around them so they could get enrichment by finding and eating on their own. she began to wright all the things she would need to get if she went out, but most she could find hear in the grove she was sure, like rocks native plants and a water source to start with. she began to head downstairs minding her steps but not paying to much mind to what was around her Miraculously she made it downstairs without hurting herself then began to check the surrounding area.

He was watching her from the shadows. His little breeze of fresh air. She was just, amazing to him. Willing to put up with his obsessiveness. Chompers loved her as much as he did. The tail mouth had come to rest on the heavy perch that was scattered throughout the treehouses for it to rest. He smiled watching her go downstairs, he started to follow her. Gently nudging her when she was about to trip. She didn't notice. As she started to look around for a pond, he spoke up with his trademark rumble.

"My love, your fussing." he chuckled as he stepped up to her and nuzzled her. "The turtles will be fine. There's the natural lake there." he nodded to the lake near the tree. "We can set up a pier and safe house for them to sleep in."

Her head popped up from having her nose buried in to her notes as she heard his voice, her ears flickered softly as she turned to face him; A smile crossed her face as she moved closer to him, Her nose burring gently in to his chest. He was right they would be fine, but she wanted to give them her all, she took a deep breath and settled down. "OK lets do that, plus little houses around the dock would be so cute." She said as it brought her joy to think about, keeping it natural rather then pony made would be much better.

She was much calmer now, no longer fussing over the little stuff. He brought calmness to her mind, has she not had him, she would of lost herself in her plans. she pulled her face from his chest to gaze up at him with a loving smile "thank you Love, what would I do without you?" she looked back and took a glance over their home, She pondered what she could do or if she could do anything., she looked back to lights " do you think there's anything we need?" she pondered and began to walk back towards the tree house awaiting his answer, in her mind letting herself plop on to the pillows would be nice, her mind had been racing all day.

Lights smiled as Chompers curled around Vermillion when she buried herself into his chest. He enjoyed cuddling her. She was so much smaller than him, made him think about what he could do to protect her. Comfort her. She brought out his protector nature, as well as a darker instinct to always have her with him. He leaned down to nuzzle her rumbling. "Not as cute as you."

He chuckled deeply before he moved to follow her. He smirked slowly. "Foals." he answered without hesitation. He wanted to start a family with her. "I would love to talk about us being parents if you don't mind?"

He wouldn't force the topic on her. Vermillion was his little thinker.

she found her face growing warm as a blush spread across her face after he had called her cute, She had always felt award about herself- But he made her feel special. as soon as she had gotten up the tree house back to the room of pillows she plopped down, a soft breath of relief her mind was at ease and she was comfortable as she rested in their little nest "Foals?" she had for once found herself with a lack of thought at least for the moment as her face began to grow warmer once- Or a lot more. She sat up as he continued speaking her eyes glittering. She felt a flutter in her heart, she had given it a thought a few- or more times. " Y.. yes I would love to hear what you have to say." she said her voice a little shaky as she wasn't expecting the topic to come up, but she gave him her full attention her face even brighter than before.

as she fully corrected her posture, tucking her hooves under her as she gazed up at him expectantly. there she went again the thoughts filling her mind. but she shook the thoughts from her mind as she wanted to have a clear head for this even though her mind wanted to ponder on what they would need for foals, proofing the room , a closed off room for the foals to be sheltered from the night air. She was doing it again Fussing over what had not yet become, she knew that they would appear when it was time. she pulled her mind from wandering once more she moved closer to lights, and cuddled in to him he was her rock in moments like this, where she couldn't settle her mind. as soon as she buried against him and chompers she settled her mind down.

He smiled at her. Seeing her inner light made him that much more sure about them starting a family or at least praying for one. He moved to settle by her, his larger frame overshadowing her as his wings tucked along his back. He smiled softly as she settled into him. Chompers drawing itself around her to keep her pressed into his side. He heard that inner beast of his rumbling its possession of the small female. He chuckled as he nuzzled her temple. Licking her fur down a bit as he hummed. "Well. I was thinking. We've dedcied to be partners and live together. Perhaps we should look into either adopting a wayward foal...or..."

He let it linger for a moment before he smiled. "Trying for our own? Ah, by trying I mean...we could plea with the Seasons." he didn't know of any other methods really. "That would be about it...I already have a few rooms in the treehouse that can be easily converted into a foal pen..."

Comfort and an ease of mind flowed over her as she felt snug, and secure in his embrace. she looked over to chompers as they coiled around her, giving chompers some affection a swell before doing the same to lights, oh how she adored them. she felt lights took hair of her stray fur all out of place from her running around and rustling in to the pillows. she flicked her ear, closing her eyes as she listened to his hum, before hearing him speak, she listened carefully, and then fixed her gaze on him once he mentioned adoption, but he stopped? she tilled her head slightly with curiosity, but her face couldn't become more red than it was. She loved the idea of foals, no matter the method it would bring her such delight to make their family bigger than it already was .

she had remembered back at the beach when the word foals had escaped his lips, she couldn't help but nod " Y--Yes! I would absolutely love that, I would love to take care of a foal." her hoofs cupped her face as she was blushing madly, a family sounded so wonderful, and a family of their own at that, she had been a bit envious lately seeing all the other family with foals of their own, she wondered what it would be like. Her mind raised as she took a deep breath "we should start immediately then shouldn't we? We will need so many things." she spoke softly she wanted to decorate with him and prep the little pen for their foals. a soft spot, full of blankets and pillows. her mind wanted as she buried her face further in to lights, she began to wonder was she really ready?

Lights rumbled as she kept pressed close to him. This was what he wanted, Vermillion hanging off his every word like this. Gave him a sense of real purpose. Helped focus his mind off other things. Like how hungry Chompers was. He looked to the tail, nodding to the food stash they kept off to the side. Chompers turned itself to start munching away. Making sure to not spray Vermillion with anything.

Lights nuzzled her. "Yes, lets get things set up. I was thinking of ways to make a treehouse safe for them. It would be same level as ours, but with more netting to catch them. Should any be born without wings." he was thinking of the foals that would take after their Mother more so than him. "I don't mind how we get them..."

He would have to ask Nox for aid in finding homeless foals. The elder was really good at that.
