Pumpkin Tart fixed her choker, it would be nice if she actually had a decent mirror to look in. She huffed. How could one be so fabulous with out a proper way to admire her looks? She tossed a forlorn look at her sister. "Spice... I need your expertise." She fussed with her hair and made sure her teeth were clean. A dazzling smile can really stop heart with the right pony wearing it. The both were tired of feeding on other critters. Pony blood always tasted better and she didn't want to be the one to ruin their chances by not being 100% percent. They were heading into Everville for a part being hosted at on of the most popular clubs. It was sure to be an easy way to find a vic- volunteer to help some lovely ladies with a meal. A smirk spread as she waited for Spices help.

Pumpkin Spice watched her sibling fuss over every aspect of her appearance and made a mental note to get her a nice mirror for Christmas. It would hopefully save time in situations like this. She had a feeling that tonight was going to be a good, good night and was eager to get a move on. "You look perfect as always sis." she replied after inspecting her accessories and tousling a gorgeous lavender lock. For the millionth time Spice wistfully mused how nice it'd be to have hair that didn't outline her already ridiculous name. It really sucked that they weren't identical twins. "I'm ready if you are." she declared in a sing-song voice and flashed a conspiratorial grin.

She wished she had the confidence her sister did. "Oh absolutely~ We're off to find a nice snacc." She winked at Spice as they headed out. The sun was just starting to set and the sky was painted with beautiful pastels. "Do we have an attack plan tonight?" They always had a few tricks for expecting ponies. "We can lure someone into a dark alley..." She thinks a bit. "...or if we want a bit of a mixer we can have them drink a little too much." She giggles deviously. A little alcohol in the blood really gave it a nice kick. "Or are we not feeling like Bloody Mary's tonight." Oh she was absolutely awful. As it got darker lights started dancing in the light to beckon the party-goers to where the club was; and like a Pixie to a flame they followed.

"I'd have a Bloody Mary for breakfast, lunch, and dinner if I could." she answered automatically and groaned as that thought made her even thirstier. Spice couldn't remember how many weeks it'd been since they were able to trap a pony. And if she had to taste one more filthy deer she might go mental! "I've been thinking we should change our tactics, actually." Spice started in on a monologue as they walked. "I mean, it's really fun to do it that way... But then they avoid us like the plague after and we have to start over with someone new." She paused to let Tart process and then continued the train of thought. "What if we made 'friends' (she fluctuated the word in a sarcastic way) with them to where they wanted to help us out?" Another pause. "If we made enough friends we could even rotate them and have a regular supply."

"Friends? We have each other." She huffed a bit. "Plus... Don't you have to take care of friends?" She frowned a bit. Friends were something she was never good at making, which is why she kept her sister close. "So what are we to do? Just ask?" How do you ask to chew on somepony... She rolled her eyes and glanced at her sister. "If you think I'm going to bake for them you have another thing coming. You know that's a special recipe." She knew she was just flapping her gums at that point. She would absolutely bake for her sisters friends. She let out a dramatic and soft wail. "We need somepony to help us lovely damsels~" She shook her head as the bass of the music playing in the club was starting to be heard.

It sounded like she touched a nerve. Was the sarcasm not obvious? "No-not real friends. It'll be like a game that only we're in on. All we have to do is act friendly and compliment them a lot." That's what dumb ponies seemed to like and they would need to find a dumb one for this to work properly. Luckily, stupidity had no affect on taste. "Once we've done that we can gain their sympathy by explaining how hard it is to find proper nourishment." At her sister's joke about being damsels she realized Tart had accidentally hatched a killer plan. It was the perfect con. "That's an intriguing idea...You could fake faint late in the evening and I could ham it up, act like you're in real trouble-on the brink of starvation!" Spice was fiendishly tickled and excited by this stroke of genius. "They'd have to help. And after that we'd keep the 'friendship' going because if they've already done it once they'll likely be willing again." She licked her fangs, a bad habit she'd formed when thinking of pony blood. The difference between what she was forced to drink and that sweet nectar she craved was downright painful.

"I see..." As her sister explained the idea she had she nodded. "That's rather brilliant! I always knew you were the mastermind~" She giggled at the idea. Some sucker to keep around. Once it clicked perhaps having others to circulate around would be a great idea! "Now we just have to pick the perfect 'friend'." As they approached the doors of the club she scanned the ponies that were chatting outside. "We need someone whose alone..." Her piercing eyes almost analysed each Pony and she rejected every one of them except for one.

"Oh, yeah! You have a great night then!" Foxtrot chuckled to himself as another pony walked in with a friend they were waiting on. He tapped his hooves on the ground and bobbed his head to the beat. He was told it wasn't cool to go to a club alone so he was hoping to find someone who was alone so he could go with them! He was completely unaware of how his night was about to become.

"It was your idea." she reminded and playfully bumped into her. "It'll be fun! We'll still lure them away for it and if for some reason it doesn't work we'll do it like old times." Spice was determined to get a real meal tonight one way or the other. She followed her twin's gaze to a soft orange boy. "Good eye. Looks delicious." Moreso, he had a kind face and the goal tonight was to exploit someone's kindness. Tart didn't give herself enough credit but she had great instincts and was just as much a mastermind. Sometimes they were so in sync it felt like they shared the same brain. As they drew closer she whispered jokingly "He even brought a scarf to cover up the bite marks, how considerate~"

She giggled a bit. "Oh was it? Let's just call it a team effort then, hmm?" She watched and observed his actions. It really did seem like he was alone. Perhaps this plan was going to be a little too easy... PFFT! If it meant a decent meal then she was game. "I thought you said you were tired of deer." She snorted a bit as she laughed. That one was too good.

Foxtrot started to loose hope as other ponies shuffled into the event. Then his eyes came across doubles. Doubles? He looked again and blinked rapidly. While he was seeing double he could now see the differences in the pair. Twins! He got a bit happy then frowned. They had each other and wouldn't likely need him. He huffed. What would he be if he didn't even ask! He put on his smile and trotted over to the twin. "Evenin', Ladies!" Getting closer he realized how under dressed they looked, they seemed to not mind the bit of nip in the air. "Would you care to dance?" He offered a wing to each Pony and gestured to the door. "They've been playing some real bangers in there!" He smiled as he butt bounced to the new rhythm that pounded from the club.

Spice rolled her eyes at her sister's ribbing about deer. It was funny but she still didn't appreciate the reference. "You know it's different." she scoffed and reflexively lifted her chin in a snobbish fashion. Before she could prepare an opening line for their target he surprised her by approaching first. The irony was hilarious and she had to bite back a bark of laughter, especially when he started dancing right there in front of them. Then remembering that dumb ponies loved laughing constantly, she let the laughter out. Hopefully it sounded good natured instead of diabolical like it was. In her mind he had literally just hopped onto her metaphorical plate. Spice knew her twin would understand the reason for the genuine joy that bubbled from her. "Why sure! Have you been waiting for us?" she crooned teasingly as she took one of his offered wings and let him lead the way. The heat of a regular pony was always a pleasant sensation. It made her think of the even hotter crimson nectar that pulsed just below his skin. This was off to a quick, easy start and she hoped the rest of the evening would be just as simple.

Boy did she know how to pick them! He was literally waltzing right into their little scheme. As they were escorted into the club she leaned back and winked at her sister. She had a feeling this was going to be fun.

Foxtrot smiled at the two. "Not necessarily! Though I'm more than happy to dance with you both!" He lead the two into the bar. It was loud and there were several ponies, he just hoped he wouldn't loose track of his new friends! He lead them to the floor and danced with each. His style of dancing didn't match the music exactly but it was fun! He twirled his new friends out, then caught them with his wings, careful not to drop them. He practiced dancing with a cousin and she would knock him silly for dropping her. He learned rather quickly.

Spice winked back at her twin and internally winced when their escort didn't understand her obvious joke. She had to remind herself this was a good thing-the dimmer, the better. He turned out to be a really good dancer though and Spice actually had a good time on the dance floor. She'd never been dipped before and had to admit it was a lot of fun. After a while she suggested "Let's hydrate! You guys find a table." and made her way to the bar. She ordered three appletinis (one a double) along with four shots of whiskey before returning to find them. "Drinks are coming soon~" she announced while sitting next to Tart "So what're you guys talking about?"

Tart shot a dirty glare at Spice. "Oh not much! I was complimenting our new 'friend' here on his rather impressive dance moves." She nodded as she looked over to Foxtrot who seemed to be beaming with pride. She did have to admit it was rather a lot of fun. "Ooo!~ My favorite!" She wiggled excitedly at the Appletini.

"That is quite a bit of alcohol." While he did enjoy a drink every so often, he was a light drinker. He laughed, he was having too much fun not to. "Shall we make a toast?" He gave a genuine smile to the others. "Perhaps to new friendship?"

Spice wasn't sure what she'd done to earn the glare... Was it for leaving Tart alone with him? Whatever the case her sister perked up at the drink so it couldn't be that serious. "Well, yeah. What's the point of going to a party if you're not going to party?" she asked rhetorically. He seemed nervous about this which meant there was a better than not chance he'd be a lightweight. 'Good.' she thought smiling wide. "I'll drink to that!" she agreed a little too quickly and clinked glasses before enjoying her first swill of delicious beverage. As soon as the drinks settled into everyone it'd be showtime and onto the best beverage of all. The anticipation was killing her. "You know, we never even swapped names. I'm Spice and my lovely sister is Tart." She never offered the other part of their names to people because she bloody hated it.

"Cheers!" She gingerly clinked the glasses with the others. She drank slower and savored her drink. She bit her lip so she wouldn't evoke the wrath of her sister. She could already feel the elbow in her ribs if she mentioned that they were the Pumpkin twins. Unlike her sister she found their names amusing. As Foxtrot downed his drink Tart kept an eye on her sister. Waiting for her cue for her sister to get a good snack.

Foxtrot cheered as they toasted. "Name's Foxtrot." He smiled at Spice. "You both are lovely!" He happily downed his drink in the moment and shook off the bite from the booze.

"That explains a lot!" she joked referencing to his dancing skills. The compliment pleased her but she didn't reply to it, instead taking another pull on her drink. It was loud enough around that talking was becoming difficult. She instead head bobbed and exuded having a good time while finishing her drink. In actuality she was bored and ready to ditch this place. The dancing had been fun but that was over. Sharing company with new people wasn't something she was comfortable with yet. She could do jokes and banter sure, but talking about life and interests was much trickier. When they finished their appletinis Spice spoke up again "Well, shot time and then let's get out of here?" she pushed one shot to her twin and two to Foxtrot. "You're bigger so I got you two." a sly smile "You go first and then we'll all do one together."

"Huh, that makes sense." He laughed and downed the drink then paused before the other. "Was there something else you wanted to do? If not I'd be more than happy to escort you home." He raised his last shot before downing it. He was already feeling a little woozy, so perhaps it was better that they didn't want to dance anymore. The club was in full swing and it was difficult to talk and move.

The whole time Tart had a devious smile. She felt the time was getting ever closer. Her sisters idea of ditching the club was great. "Isn't there a park nearby? Let's go for a walk~" That way they could find somewhere more quiet and secluded to have a meal.

The shot went down smooth and warmed her chest. When he offered to walk them home she started to feel slightly bad. Spice was trying really hard not to like him but he was making it difficult, Fox was a fun time and a gentleman. She'd never spent this much time with a meal before. 'Better do this quick then. I'm too thirsty to change my mind.' she thought bitterly. Gee, wouldn't it have been great if she'd actually been asked if she wanted to be turned into a vampire. It wasn't all it was cracked up to be. She missed having a regular diet that didn't make her jump through hoops and also sunshine... She missed soaking up those warm, blissful rays the most. Without realizing it she was stroking at her necklace, a sun to remind her of the good times. Then she became aware of having zoned out and snapped out of it. "Oh yes, park would be great... Anywhere with fresh air."

Tart frowned. She knew the signs that her sister had that one thought on her mind. She knew her sister missed being normal. This is where the twins differed. Her sister lived for her days in the sun, but ever since they were turned it became more difficult to enjoy the sun. Tart was all about the night life, even before the turn. She stood up and took a spot on Foxtrot's side. This really was a little too easy... perhaps to the point she felt a little guilty.

Foxtrot happily excused their way through the dense crowd and got them outside. He took a deep breath of the fresh air. The cold was a bit sharp on his lungs but it was welcomed after being in that stuffy building. He was happy he had his scarf. He looked to the two. "Aren't you cold?"

Spice relaxed a bit once they were outside, the night did feel great to her senses. Fox shocked her with an obvious question. "Ummm... Didn't you notice?" she looked to her sister and then back at him incredulously "We're vamps." Maybe he would finally come to his senses and run. No wonder the night had been so easy. He had no idea he was dealing with bloodthirsty monsters.
