「◇ ◇ — Kit History - Dusty」
He was born to a kittypet mother and a loner father and into a small litter within a human home. He inherited most of his father's wilder side and was removed from his human home and given to a foster family in hopes that handling might soften the kitten. They were unsuccessful -- Dusty was a wild child his entire kithood, biting his two-legs, hissing, and slowly growing into a desperate cat who wanted nothing more than to get past that damn door and see what else there was in the world.

「◇ ◇ — Paw History - Dust」
One day, on a day that had no significant worth, he managed to finally run between human legs and found himself outside. While it was a difficult transition at first, Dust (who had renamed himself immediately and only happened to pick a similar name) was beyond relieved to have the cold grass under his paws and fresh air. He had always belonged in the wild.

「◇ ◇ — Adult History - Dust」
Having been fostered by two-legs without other cats and then not meeting a single friendly face after, Dust began to become irritable. Every cat he stumbled upon met him with bared teeth and a condescending smile once they noticed his collar and he was sick of it. Was this the wilderness? Loneliness? Had this been why his father sought out a kittypet, who likely was softer than the loners who shunned Dust?
This would lead to some impressively bad decision-making the moment he met a friendly she-cat. Not only did he let himself fall completely for the cat sheerly because she was nice to him, but she also ended up pregnant. Dust was ready to be a father, almost daring to even say he was excited, until the kittens were born and their mother immediately lost interest in Dust. While he stayed nearby to help raise Coyote and Mercy, their mother and Dust's relationship would slowly decay and turn into bitter arguing, with words better left unsaid often spilling from frustrated muzzles.
Once his daughters were adults and could care for themselves, he left. Hurt and jaded by the sudden abandonment of his first love, Dust returned to viewing other cats as trouble. Time passed, and once again he found himself completely and utterly alone.
