The weather was unpleasant for Stillwater; even in the early morning, the insects found themselves in full swing, the heat of the sun overhead baking down on the dark roofs clustered throughout the little town. No rain had come in over a week, now, leaving it up to the residents themselves to tend to the farmlands' needs. It was nothing that the sleepy settlement hadn't experienced before, but that didn't mean it was ever enjoyable while it was happening; the air shimmered with the warmth rising from the ground below, and the sky remained unmercifully clear, nary a cloud in it to give any relief from the heat above.

Despite this sweltering condition, however, the town was not entirely quiet. For several weeks now, the townsfolk had chuckled at the announcement of a potential estate sale near the southern edge of town - the old Bywater farmstead, left empty for two generations, was hardly what anyone would consider good land. Standing on an unfortunate deposit of rock and clay, it had gone uninhabited for good reason. The mayor had attempted several times to sell it off, having been granted to the town when the last of that line finally passed with no relatives or heirs, but to no avail. No one, everyone said, would ever want that useless piece of land, and the town should simply forget about anyone taking it.

That is, until ... this day. There was a buzz running through the gossips of Stillwater, with something new and strange afoot. It was sparked by something positively tiny, but shocking to those that had lived in the town their whole lives: the sale at Bywater was canceled, because it was already being sold. To add more to the rumor mill, by midday word was already passing that strangers had been spotted at the barren land - but no one had caught wind of any visitors to town in the local hotel.

Town mood: Curious

Notable locations: Bywater estate, mayor's office

HOW TO PLAY
Below you will find the prompt form. Please fill this form out with your pony's choice of actions for the day. Please note this is not the place to roleplay. Your responses should be 100 words or less, with no minimum as long as you are getting your action across! You are free to style your response as a micro-RP post or a simple description like "checking out the creepy farm." This is basically your most important plans of the day - obviously your pony is going to do things like eat or work as usual.

If you want to write RPs, whether for participation checks or simply for RP points once the system is revamped, you may only write them for days that have already passed! This is so you know the events that took place on that day. For Day 1, for instance, you could only write an RP about life before the meta started. On Day 2, when you see the events of Day 1 unfold, you may write post-dated RP about Day one detailing more intricate actions of what your pony did and maybe how they reacted to their findings.

You can start a post-dated RP whenever you want - you can start a Day 2 RP on Day 20 if you'd like or should you get inspiration. The only restriction is that it needs to be in its own thread, marked like "[PRP][Day x]" and can only be a day that has already taken place!

Your Pony: Margaret "Maggie" Mae
Their Mood: Aloof
Their Actions: Maggie is slightly curious (hey, new ponies means possible new sales), and she was already out from delivering new pieces to her studio. Might as well pass by, even if it is a little off her route....

Bouquet of Diamonds

Grizzled Veteran
D
Your Pony: Peacekeeper
Their Mood: Curious, but not terribly concerned.
Their Actions: Though the news certainly raised an ear, Peacekeeper didn't find the news of the estate sale any cause for alarm. After all, the mayor had been trying to sell the land for some time, and whoever bought it might just be shy. He'd mosey on over to the estate if he started hearing otherwise.

Your Pony: Split Decision
Their Mood: Curiouser and curiouser
Their Actions: With gossip aflutter, Split Decision went from watering all of his crops by bucket, to trotting into town. Hair pulled back in a bun, he made a bee line for the local pub, in order to learn the greatest and juiciest gossip about this land purchase, and the possibility of strangers that accompanied it.

Your Pony: Hypnotic Gaze
Their Mood: Interested
Their Actions: Hypnotic Gaze had, upon hearing the news, left his compound to wander near Bywater Estate, hoping to catch a glimpse of the newest future inhabitant and perhaps begin plotting. Someone new to town was unusual in the first place, but this? This was exciting.

Your Pony: Dusty Secrets
Their Mood: Curious, but hesitant.
Their Actions: Dusty finished his meal that morning with his parents. Hearing his Mother remark upon the sale of the Estate. His ears flicked in interest but he quickly sobered as his Father huffed. The estate held artifacts his Father was more curious about rather than the Outsiders who bough it.

Your Pony: Lament
Their Mood: Interested professionally
Their Actions: If there is someone new, Lament will meet them eventually, but dropping by the mayor's office for the news so he can professionally figure out what the newcomer might be needing, well. That is just sound practice.

Your Pony: Candied Kisses
Their Mood: Curious, Slightly in Denial
Their Actions:

Candy had rolled her eyes when she was told the old Bywater estate was going up for sale again. Of course it wouldn't work. It wasn't new gossip, really, so it did nothing to interrupt her day of swindling the townsfolk. Learning it had already sold was another matter entirely. That certainly caught her attention enough to shake up her day. She made it a point to take the scenic route home; one that took her right by both the mayor's office and Bywater Estate.

D
Your Pony: Sweet Spoonful
Their Mood: Slightly curious
Their Actions: After a full day of seeing patients with the usual bumps, bruises and summer colds, Sweet Spoonful was quite sure she'd heard the news of the sale of Bywater from nearly every mouth. She wondered who'd take up residence, but it would probably just be another farmer. She took her usual course of action, and headed home after working in the clinic to read more of her recent shipment of comic books. A good way to unwind.

Your Pony: Odds-N-Ends (AKA Oddity)
Their Mood: Absolutely Excited!!
Their Actions: The news had all ponyfolk whispering behind their hooves in Stillwater, but Oddity wasn't concerned- She was practically ecstatic. Finally some new faces around here! New faces meant new customers, possible friends, and maybe even ponies like her. Oddity hoped whoever showed up would appreciate her eccentric side for once. Off into town she went, hoping to catch a glimpse or overhear a smidge about whoever these new townsponies were.

Chisato Mikami

Resident
D
Your Pony: Summer Breeze
Their Mood: Curious
Their Actions: While making the arrangements for the day, Summer Breeze would wonder about the new ponies in Stillwater. The sale of the estate surprised him, much like the rest of the town. New faces ment more business, new friends, and more possibilities. He would arrange his assortment of honey, making note of what he would need and hope that the beekeepers could fill his order. Possibly the new land owners will be interested in buying the honey or maybe the beautifully bright flower arrangements from the flowers of his garden would intice the new comers.

One Little Jay

Grizzled Veteran
D
Your Pony: Stormy Skies
Their Mood: Hot and Unbothered
Their Actions: It had been a long day of working the fields. The lack of rain had only made his job hotter and more miserable. He didn't care about the news of strangers. He didn't much care to meet any more people feeling he had already met enough. He was hot and hoping the local watering hole wouldn't be too crowded with all the buzz.

Your Pony: Bitcounter
Their Mood: curious, uncomfortablely hot and baffled
Their Actions: Bit is the on staff bank teller, he's baffled at reading the news about the bank selling the dead land. He knows there is money in land trade, but the house is trash. All in all he's burning up at the bank counter listening to the owner of the bank crow at finally being rid of the dead property.

Your Pony: Rosemary 'Rough' Roundabout
Their Mood: Curious, worried, interested
Their Actions: Bringing in scrap from her job she head the news and is more then a little curious and worried about making a god impression after all this was a new town member and that was interesting as all get out. It might be worth splurging to go drinking tonight to get the latest buzz from around town.

Your Pony: Dreamweaver

Your Pony: Nostalgic Bookwatch
Their Mood: Tired, Stressed,
Their Actions: Although Nostalgic had heard about the rumors circling the town, they've been too busy planning their next lessons for the next week so they could try to be ahead of the curve and wanting to just sit down and drink a bit of tea and read a good book. Which reminds them that they had a book that they needed to return today, and then after that they had to go to the store to buy more supplies and to the market to get food for dinner and then make sure they had everything...

What was everyone talking about again?

Your Pony: Full Harvest Moon
Their Mood: Curious, but mostly confused
Their Actions: With the news of the sale setting fire to the buzz in town, Harvest couldn't avoid learning about it if she tried. She'd roll her eyes if someone mentioned it to her, but would otherwise outwardly brush it off. Her mind, however, took off in a confused clutter behind the scenes. Passing by the estate when walking to and from jobs offered no further answers to the question it raised within the overheated teenager, Why the heck would anyone want to purchase such a cursed — and possibly haunted — building?

...She hoped they were interesting.

Your Pony: Til Sundown "Tilly"
Their Mood: Curious
Their Actions: Hearing about the news brings her mind to several questions. When will the strangers come into town? Maybe they will even buy from her taco cart! She can practically feel the town abuzz with curiosity wanting to know about the strangers. She is curious but she has work to do. Tacos don't make or sell themselves! All she can hope for is that questions that she has will be answered in time.

Your Pony: Budding Dreams
Their Mood: Excited, Curious, Friendly
Their Actions: Buddy didn't participate much in drama. She spent most her days with friends and family, pestering Storm daily with flowers and making little trinkets to go in her hair. Though, when rumors of a new family came about, she just HAD to go check it out! ( The day consists of : Giving Storm flowers, strolling throughout town to hear the latest news on the newcomers, then head to the property with a gift basket for them. )
