With Technology beyond our wildest dreams, humanity started a new quest. Make dragons! Specifically, dragons the size of a large dog or horse. The profit would be unfathomable. From guard animals to petting zoos, these intelligent and gentle creatures would be easy to train and every ones new favorite companion! Although, when adding human DNA to the batch in hopes of making them intelligent enough to follow commands easily, or even communicate, there was.. a bit too much. The creatures, deemed dragons, were intelligent enough to plan their escape. Intelligent enough, even, to tap into something humans were yet able to comprehend. Their connection to their minds and nature granted them something far greater than anything any scientist could grasp. The magic that seeped throughout our world, and the very essence at which nature thrived. Stealing technology from the scientists that created and captured them, they flew, swam, and everything in between, to an island not yet inhabited by humans. They have since named their new home Liron, and themselves Touracs. With their long, flexible tails they use tools and create new technology, along with the magic and energy they have earned from the world around them.
