Training summary for 5/27/22


It made the most sense to Eulalio to train Sundrop out in the forest. They spent quite a lot of time outside and among plants already. Plus with the research on the new flora in the area that researchers wanted to do, they both would need a good grasp on what was common and what was out of the ordinary. While it wasn't the exact same as the forest he'd grown up in, Eulalio knew a fair amount of flora. Sharing what was good to eat and what was toxic, where to find hidden things and how best to collect plants with Sundrop was a good way to spend the day and make the lefmew stronger.

While the lefmew seemed to pick up much of what Eulalio was trying to teach them, their attention dropped off during the middle of the day. The two of them would need to work on it a bit longer if they wanted to get even stronger together. Eulalio was looking forward to working together for as long as Sundrop wanted his company.

Training Summary - 5/30/22

After some days of study and some evenings hitting the books, Eulalio felt confident that they were teaching Sundrop the best they could. As the days went by Sundrop was getting better and better at bringing back the things that Eulalio wanted them to. They could identify new plants versus ones they had been taught and could bring them back. Sundrop was going to do so well with helping bring back new things for people to research and Eulalio couldn't be more proud.

Baby wasn't interested in learning about the grass and things, but Sundrop just took it all in. Though that didn't mean that they didn't get distracted. It took several days and lots of encouragement for them to keep on track. But now that they were stronger, Eulalio didn't have to worry so much about them fighting things while they were out exploring. They wouldn't get knocked out in one very lucky hit. Not that they had before, but it was a worry that had always bothered Eulalio.

Training summary! 6/1/22

Eulalio decided that just the one move was not working out for Sundrop. They should know at least two. Since they were so weak, it made sense for them to learn something that would lower other pokemon's defenses. Tail wag was something simple enough. Only one problem. Eulalio didn't have a tail to wag as an example. They tried to make do with just shaking their butt, but Sundrop just didn't seem to understand.

After using a towel as a make-shift tail, Sundrop seemed to get the general idea. They did it a handful of times, but then quickly lost interest. Eulalio tried to get them to do more practice, but they just wouldn't cooperate. After a good half hour of chasing after Sundrop to try and get them to work on the new move, Eulalio finally gave up with an exasperated sigh. Tomorrow would be soon enough to do this.

Training Session Summary 6/2/22

Another day, and another session to try and get Sundrop to learn the new moves. It was pretty hot out, so Eulalio was already having a hard enough time getting Sundrop to stay with them. Even then, they didn't want to pay any attention to what their trainer was doing. Eulalio was doing their best to keep the training as active and fun as possible, and making sure that the both of them were staying hydrated, but it was an uphill battle.

At one point, Sundrop decided to indulge Eulalio and mimic them a few times, but it was obvious that it wasn't sticking with them. When they had spent almost two hours trying and failing to get this to stick, Eulalio decided that it was time to call it quits. They would come back to this again tomorrow and hopefully it would be a better day for the both of them.

Training summary 6/3/22

With the day being not quite as hot as yesterday, Eulalio was already off to a good start. They got started on showing Sundrop how to do tail whip and was delighted at the fact that they started to mimic it shortly after. It was a solid move, and would definitely help with Sundrop hitting things harder. They spent a bit more time going over the move and then Eulalio decided to have Sundrop practice on their own.

With all the practice over the last handful of days, Sundrop finally nailed the move and could consistantly use it. Eulalio couldn't wait to bring them out into the grasslands and have them use it on an actual pokemon. It might not be the most exciting move, but it was definitely going to help with getting those other pokemon into a better state to catch. Eulalio made sure to give Sundrop enough pets and love that the move would be cemented into their head.

6/15/22 Training Summary

Eulalio was glad to have a new friend to join their group. Bonbon had already been out in the field and did a marvelous job taking on everything they were put up against. But Eulalio knew that they could be a little stronger. They were worried about making sure they could take hits as well as dish them out. So it was out training today.

They'd have loved to have Sundrop out here as well, but the lefmew had disappeared in the middle part of the day and they hadn't been able to find them since. Eulalio had given up and just taken Bonbon out to get this taken care of. They were out working in part of the enrichment center today, going over all the flora that was native to the area. Much of what Eulalio had to show would be familiar to Bonbon, but it was always good to train the to recognize things that would hurt it. Even if it was going to take a bit of practice to make sure the sentret retained the knowledge.
