After the storm passed Zak decided that he should go out and just re get his barrings before deciding to go and explore the new route. This time he decided to go by himself, taking just Zue, Rain Drop and Zvonimir with him. Zue of course was out of his pokeball and resting upon the boy's head as he often did, the other two Zak had in their pokeballs for now.

"Alright Zue, shall we get going?" he questioned the bat on the top of his head as they excited the dorm rooms It was late morning and a bit later then he would usually set out. Zak felt they had been cooped up too much with in the city and the pair definatly needed this. After all they were used to camping out mostly in the wilds. Fending for themselves living off the land watching pokemon with in their natual habitat.

Returning to the Grasslands Zak stretched his arms over his head "Alright where to?" He questioned outloud. Zue's only reply was shifting on the man's head giving a soft screech before resting silently.

There was a small pause as he thought pulling out his notebook to take a look at his notes from his previous ventures into the grasslands. "Well we could go along the shoreline. We just have to watch out for the cliffs." he mused. "Or we could venture into the grasslands maybe we will find some bug type. I would like to maybe try to catch a native Scatterbug. They seem very interesting, different from what we are usually used to."

As he spoke he started walking still flipping through his notes. "Otherwise I'm good for just walking till we run into things." if we was expecting an answer from the zubat it never came as the bat fell asleep half way through his trainers talks. Walking aimlessly always seemed to work though, as it was something Zak tended to do when he didn't know where he wanted to go.

Nose in his notebook Zak nearly walked into a steep drop almost without even realizing it. But at the last miniute he caught himself before taking what would have been quite a nasty fall. Quick on his feet he stopped then wrote something down in his notebook before walking around the drop. At least maybe he would remember it for next time he decided he would be in the area. But, now it was time to continue. Still he had no clue where his feet was gonna take him, but after that near nasty fall he put his notebook away for now and continued on his trek through the grasslands keeping his crimson eyes peeled for anything that would either be dangerous for him or evidence that a pokemon was nearby.

Still the man wasn't sure if he really waned a native pokemon to the island or if he was gonna just train what he was comfortable with. It was an inner debate as he did come here to try new things and explore a new place, but would that mean trying to train somethign that was neither a fire or dragon type or partial of them.

Rain Drop had to be at least fire type but the blue coloring of the torchic was throwing him off plus its use of ice type moves. Which caused him to believe it would evolve into something that was part ice type later.

Though only time would tell. Continuing on he began to search for pokemon known to this area. Definatly a scatterbug maybe, even though bugs were not his forte but its behavior suggested it was definatly different then the ones he knew.

Coming along Zak found what appeared to be a pokemon nest which seemed quite old and unnused at the moment. Bending down he carefully took out his sketch book and began to sketch it looking for traces that would lead him infer what sort of pokemon made the next however in his careful observation it seems he found something more of use someone's lost pack seemed to be tucked carefully inside the old nest. Reaching down he took it out only to find an unused postion in quite perfect condition. Always needed more potions Zak tucked the potion into his own pack for later, knowing well aware of the dangers the route held and he would definatly possible need it for later. If not in this exploration then perhaps in his next one.

Trying not to take up too much time on this one thing he quickly finished up his sketch and once again pocketed his sketch book.

"Alright Zue lets continue," He gave the bat who was still napping on his head, a small pat on the head. The Zubat stirred a little bit before giving a small flap of his wings, mainly wanting his trainer to start walking again so he could continue his nap. Usually the Zubat was quite energetic, perhaps also beeing cooped up made the pokemon a bit lathargic. The frest air was deffinatly what the two needed, as Zak had been feeling quite depressed as well not being able to explore the island further.

Zak hit a patch of loose gravel and nearly went flying face first into a prickly berry push, however he was able to avoid falling as such, however Zue ontop of his head did not have that option as the sleepy bat was toss off of Zak's head. Though he wasn't fully asleep so the bat was able to catch itself mid air before he went competly flying to the ground.

"Sorry Zue," he called out to the now hoovering bat. "At least your awake now." he chuckled awardly finding the situation just a little bit amusing.

Zue gave a bit of an annoyed screech back at his trainer before flapping back on over and landed back on Zak's head. Nestling back in position.

"I'll try to be more careful." He spoke trying to reassure him. But he wasn't sure if he would be able to do so, although he's been to the grasslands before it was such a big place to explore in a couple of days so he did not know where every danger was. Plus with the wild pokemon here it would make sense that some of the dangers would change as pokemon interacted with nature changing the scenery slightly around them.

Zak caught the N. Weedle in a Research Ball!

The grass russled next to him as he was reassuring his zubat only to find a bunch of N. Weedles scattering out in all directions from what appeared to be a nest. Quickly pulling out a research ball from his pocket the tossed it at one of the startled bug pokemon. The ball shook a couple of times before became still indicating he had caught the weedle. Well at least it was something he could turn in but, not really something that he would have used himself. His mind was set on a scatterbug at this point for something new and possible challenging.

Zue gave a soft screech at the sudden movements, almost as if he ws barating his trainer for the sudden movements once more. "You can go back in yoru pokeball you know," he semi threatened the bat "You should be used to our adventures by now or did being stuck in one place made you too comfortable up there?" he questioned them. Zue gave a scrrech in protest, wanting to remain out of his pokeball.

"You used to be so active, and now your just getting lazy," He told him. "Now don't blame me if your not paying attention and are not able to stay up there. It was your choice mind you."

The first stumble was him not paying attention but the last he was able to catch himself still Zue needed to get back into the groove of things especially since a new route opened up he would want to eventually bring the bat with him there, but if he was acting like this maybe he wouldn't bring him along in their next treck especially if he was gonna drag Benji with him, he did not want to let his crush see him in this state.
