From the Swamp they came

Genevieve found herself giggling along with the brightly coloured bat as they made their away from the beast. She'd much rather have gone toward it but the surge of ponies rushing the opposite direction dragged her along with them.

When she got back to the boat, she beamed brightly, absolutely overjoyed that what was supposed to be a swamp tour was quickly turning into a spooky adventure complete with fantastical beasts set aflame!

She watches as Mysterie and Chalk trotted off into the dark. With a quick glance around, she set off after them, calling out an excited squeal of "Hey wait for meeeee!!"

Shadow Claw looked around once the lantern was lit, Seemed there were plenty of ponies helping the others, he wanted to get a closer look at this journal... WHY was there a journal like this on a TOUR boat? normally not a curious pony, something drew him to investigate.

Prompt E; Look Around

There was commotion now - light had been spilled over the boat and new items discovered, and judging by voices at the end of the boat, perhaps the other tour guide.

Part of the party seemed to have returned and now there was a gradually increasing, overwhelming chaos. There was no way, just glancing at the controls, she was going to be able to figure out driving or moving the boat, so the next best idea was looking around.

Maybe there were controls, directions, or maybe, just maybe, an answer to the mystery of the bog.

E looking around

Taking stock on both boat passengers and those leaving the boat. You realize there is a hum in the distance. It's getting louder, is that another boat? You look towards the sound and see nothing for a moment then you see those that left the boat in search of finding help far in the distance illuminated.

You both keep watching as the 4 are bundled on to the much larger air boat. They are heading your direction perhaps this night will end with a tour on the bog after all.

G Find Help
You all rush off to locate something, help or otherwise find anything to help the situation.
You hear a noise, it sounds exactly like the boat's fan! But you just left the boat? You look behind you and sure enough there is the Bog Hog Express. Turning towards the sound you see another air boat. Flagging down the driver you explain the situation to large earth pony. He nods and says "Ok lets see what Rin got himself into." He instructs you to climb aboard. You all barely have enough room on this tinier vessel.

Heading back to the beached boat you wonder if the other noises in the dark have left.

Snooping in the journal and wallet you find out the tour guides identity as Rinnie and he lost a very silly bet with his boyfriend Benjamin. Looking through more of the journal you find personal letters between the two boyfriends and find out that Rinnie has been living with Ben for quite sometime, but has never seen Ben's prized swamp "panthers". Rinnie can't imagine a mau living in the bog, but Benjamin insists they live there. Rinnie goes on to say that the noises in the dark sound worse the closer it gets to sunrise and that he hasn't helped ben do a night tour, but he has run day tours with and without Ben.

You look over at a nearing sound of a fan and see those that left to get help have found it in the form of Benjamin, you quickly hide the journal and wallet back where you found it.

Acid tries to comfort the small Ghoulie unfortunately, it doesn't seem the tour guide is listening and has started to sob uncontrollably.
Orion assists and you both manage to calm down the little Ghoulie to the point he's not openly sobbing.

He manages some deep breaths and says "Thank you"
you notice without the costume head the ghoulie sounds soft and higher-pitched. You wonder if he was putting on airs or if the head of the costume had a voice changer.

Hearing a sound you both look up to see an air boat with 4 recognizable passengers and 1 unknown driver making their way towards you.

Firebug scrambles into the boat and takes up residence next to the tiny ghoulie, in their tour guide costume, under a bench. Lights it seems, other than the lantern on this boat, all equal what ever those creatures are.

You loose track of time as you watch things go on, seeing Shadow Claw snooping in personal effects of the tour guide, watching as Acid and Orion calm down the driver, and seeing a light approaching......WAIT a light coming this way? It couldn't be another one of those beasts?? Looking around Firebug spots not 1 but several lights approaching. They also hear the sound of a fan, a very familiar fan.

When Benjamin sent his boyfriend, Rinnie, out that night to do his first bog tour while in the complete darkness. He couldn't help, but feel like playing a little harmless trick. He sent 9 of his Pards, the strange creatures that had been living in the bog, to spook the tour attendees and Rinnie. His family had dedicated many generations to try and domesticate the beasts into guides to help others out of the bog and his most prized bunch needed some time to shine.

about 30 or so minutes into the night tour one (1) of his pards came back with a pony in toe @YupItReallyIsMe .
He smiled at the pony and grinned when the pard started licking the pony's face. "I guess they like you, why don't you keep them and have a look in the gift shop."

When a very short 10 minutes went by another pony @Absolutiones and pard pair showed up.
"Guess you found a new home too, huh." He chuckled as the pard just nodded and started showing the pony to the gift shop.

When a worryingly long time stretched on he didn't see the air boat returning nor more pards leading ponies out. He jumped on the search boat and went off into the bog with only a lantern and a bell.

He found 4 ponies wading out in the bog he quickly got them on board and went the direction they had come from. Hearing their stories of how the boat crashed into a dry spot and how dancing lights had turned into monsters that scared them. He silently chuckled at their accounts of monsters screeching at them. Sounded exactly like a Pard that attached itself to one pony.

Getting back to the boat, He found it a mess, the fan guard had been tampered with and bent wires littered the boat. Looking down he saw several of the Pard's toys and Rinnie's Journal and Wallet, he pocketed both. Looking down at the now screaming Firebug, who had not 1 but 2 encounters with pards that chose another pony. Ben could understand the poor pony's fear. Pards could be down right terrifying when choosing a pony partner.

"Hey, Hey now. It's ok, they really are not out to hurt or maim anyone. As long as you don't spook or irritate one they don't attack."

Looking out when Firebug said they were here he sees the remaining 7 of the group he sent out earlier. They looked like they were lazing about rather than doing the job he had tried to instill in them. He sighs deeply at the 7, they weren't the easiest to train.

"Lets get you all back to shore, yeah?" He started up the larger tour boat and hitched his smaller search boat to it and went off to do the remainder of the loop in the swamp. The 7 pards darted and dashed beside the tour boat staying on the dry spots. They wailed to one another as they went and a voice could be heard from the bottom of the boat. "Why the fuck didn't you tell me they were huge. I thought they were MAUS." Rinnie seemed to have finally calmed down and had started yelling at Ben.

Ben just smiled at Rinnie. "You're cute when your mad."
Rinnie fumed and in the dim light their face was a bright red.

As the tour concluded the boat reached the dock and 2 ponies and 2 pards could be seen standing on the side waiting for the boat to land.

Your ponies obtain a trinket!

As your group picks up their new item, a jar from the bog, and the 7 pards approach. Appearently they want to spend more time with you all
