The drying of the river and the death of old Mountain Clan's home meant that the wildlife, too, had been forced to flee. Gone were the songbirds in the trees or the dens of rabbits rearing their young. All they could do was move on- to learn to hunt new grounds, to adapt to this strange new world. Sunseer has called the most able of his clan to hunt as they move on. For the good of the whole clan -- these cats are braving the wilds to try and find what scarce prey they can. This will not be an easy task: this close to their old home, the animals who have stuck around are clever and quick. The hunters will have to think two steps ahead of their prey and push past the limits they thought they had. The future of their friends depends on it. [ 45 / 45 ] |
PLEASE NOTE: WARRIORS, AND APPRENTICES HAVE SEPARATE PREY LISTS; ELDERS USE THE APPRENTICE LIST. Please check to make sure you are reading the correct list!
A Warrior, trained in the ways of hunting, is able to hunt for longer and take down bigger prey. Each warrior may roll ten d20 dice, all in one post. The number will correspond to a number on the prey list. You can edit your post to include what prey (if any) your cat caught, and tally your running total for the hunt. Roleplay is not required, but you're free to do so, if you so choose.
Apprentices are not quite as capable, but still bring what they are able to the clan. Their smaller bodies and less time training mean they aren't as capable of handling larger prey. Each apprentice may roll 5 d12 dice, all in one post. The number will correspond to a number on the prey list. You can edit your post to include what prey (if any) your cat caught, and tally your running total for the hunt. Roleplay is not required, but you're free to do so, if you so choose.
Elders are weak and grow tired easily. Some may have poor hearing, poor vision. This makes hunting very difficult for them. Each apprentice may roll 3 d12 dice, all in one post. The number will correspond to a number on the prey list. You can edit your post to include what prey (if any) your cat caught, and tally your running total for the hunt. Roleplay is not required, but you're free to do so, if you so choose.
The hunters will need to gather a total of 45 food points each day in order to keep the clan fed while they travel. But be aware! Failure may mean consequences for the hunters and the clan as a whole.
